    :hello: Hello!

Think I have finally recovered from last nights red wine overdose! ;)
Thanks for posting the photos bargainrlz and for calling me classy! quite an accolade for an essex lass! :rotfl: oh has only just stopped laughing!

It was so lovely to meet you and Shez and Snowy and Snowy's friend. Thank you for all the work you put in to organising it all. Good choice of venue as very easy to find and the food and wine were very good too!

Snowy - having seen the lovely pictures of your kittens I am now working on oh for another fluffy bundle of joy! Not having much luck so far though!

Shez- wonder if we have met before? Hope the new job goes well! How's Davina going? you are putting me to shame!:o

Well quiet day today as Mr Catz has gone to Southend airshow with his buddy while us girls have a sort out (tidy up) of my scrapbooking bits n pieces. Wish the weather was a bit better for the guys though!

Just made some hm soup and have to go put a stew and dumplings on in the slowcooker for when the men get back.

    Take care

    Catzx

    Hello all :hello:

Rzl - nice photos and it looks like you all had a great time :D Just so you lot know - it was me waiting up for her when she got in (like the old mother hen.. erm.... big sister that I am :rotfl: ) Trouble was - I could n't wait up long enough to view the pics last night :)

Today it has rained and been sunny intermittently - usually raining when I was trying to mow lawns or plant plants!! I've been at my mum's all day, scurrying from the garden to the house to clean and bring lots of cases down from the loft (she's going away for a week with my aunt but a lady has to have a choice of luggage, no? ) Am now at home deciding what to have for tea - will probably be grilled pork chops, veg and potatoes of some description.

I feel all 'virtuous' ATM :D Joined the new Blackburn freecycle group (and notice some of you on here have too ;)) and have given away my old photo printer. When the couple came to pick it up, I also gave them my old high chair, as she's very heavily pregnant :) It feels quite nice to give people things they want/need, doesn't it :) Oooh - hope that doesn't make me sound sanctimonious or anything  I shall be clearing lots of other things out over this summer and shall freecycle lots of them. I have also told my mum about it and have been told what I can take away at a later date :D

Right, off for a mooch around. Hope you all have/are having a nice BH w/e. ((hugs)) to those in need and catch you all later.

Am having a thoroughly unproductive day :D

Spent most of the afternoon on the phone to a friend who I haven't spoken to for ages - I told her she should check out this forum to try and get back in control of her finances.

Chicken (buttered with garlic) is in the SC and smells yummy :D

There's an enormous black cloud directly overhead, so definitely still Bank Holiday weather!

MUST do some housework tonight as I know I will be working late tomorrow. And I have to work out a shopping/menu plan for the week as I'm low on a lot of basics (olive oil, stock cubes etc) and don't want to go over budget through having to restock.

Dinner will be chicken with jersey royals and veggies, and some white wine, followed by semolina.

Glad you all like the pics :D

    Gotta go
    Rzl xx

skystar - can you not sit on the back row? Then you can stand up when you like, still see the film, be comfortable and not disturb anyone else? Alternatively, just wait until it comes out on DVD and save yourself some pennies? :D

Thanks for the suggestion Vicky but we weren't too fussed anyway. Just an idea for something to do. Will probably end up waiting on DVD release now as we have a lot of plans the next few weeks and then on hols.

Taplady. Take if from somebody who hasnt got one, mums are to presious to fall out with, so it doesnt really matter who makes the first move.

yes I know that as I lost my Dad a couple of years ago very unexpectedly and havent got over it yet. Mums like that rhyme - when she's good she's very good and when she's bad she's horrid!:p
Couldn't manage without her but could throttle her sometimes though!

Does anyone use Johnsons holiday skin? I started using this saturday and I seem to be patchy and orangy? I take it this is not natural - can anyone help/advise?

I am giving it a go at the mo, its not bad, but agree do have a few patches mainly around the ankles, knees, but not too bad. I also know that Frizzhead has it to, aswell as the Dove Glow which she says is really good - I just bought some now reduced in superdrug - so will let you know what i think of it after a few goes! im a novice with this sun stuff - wanted to try it cos i usually live/die in trousers and when they finally come out for summer they look like old mans legs!!!:rotfl:

got to bed soo late last nite and of course up early with kids, that everytime i sit down i feel my eye lids dropping....zzzz...cant do that got ironing to do first...

essex-girl - sorry about yr flooded market, (it was abit too far from me, but thanks for letting me know) - my patio had finally just dried out, when down came a huge thunderstorm today .......oh well at least ive got a swimming pool in my backgarden now.

Thanks Shez - thats the same as me, streaks and orangness near the ankles and knees!! Glad i'm not the only one.

Has anyone else had the same issues or can reccomend another type?

Have to admit, I will be going on the sunbed before I go away, help keep the prickly heat at bay....

I go orange too around my ankles. I have been told from someone at work that you need to exfoliate first, as its your thicker skin where it clumps.

Tip from my health spa day, after your bath, rub sugar into a paste on your skin. It's not quite as harsh as using salt if you have sensitive skin becaue the grains are smoother. I do do this if i can be bothered.

Was fab to see the photos of the meet. It looked a bit of a boozy affair.

Well, my bum is just recovering from the 3 hours at the cinema watching the da vinci code. It was a bit slow, but we enjoyed it. The book was better to be honest.

Only got about 25 papers marked. OOPS. I did feel a bit bad, but then thought stuff it. DH isn't around every day and i should be making the most of couple time before baby. We might not get too much of it after.

just watching prison break. I will be then going to bed, and hopefully will be more successful with the marking. Should be easier when the house is empty.

    Nighty night all.
