    Morning lovely people :D

Rzl, sorry I didn't make the meet, it sounds like you had a great time and I really wish I had been there!

The BBQ went ahead and I have to admit it was fun. One 5 y/o who didn't believe me when I told her that doing star-jumps just after you have eaten wasn't a good idea now thinks that aunty Racy is the font of all knowledge :rotfl:

That reminds me of a neat bit of child logic passed on to me recently. 2 women sitting chatting while one was breast-feeding her baby, assorted young children were playing chase and running in and out of the room where the 2 women were sitting. A little boy, obviously interested in the proceedings, came up to the pair, and asked the mother, "Aunty B, do you eat grass" :A :A :A

Today is going to be spent racing round doing all the stuff I didn't do over the weekend, so, that would be just about everything then! :o

    Best get moving :D
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

As Bargainrzl has said I had a "rather large" portion of treacle sponge 'n' custard (yum) - which she made me work off by walking to Waterloo to catch train!! :rotfl: (mushypeas take note) - didnt do davina yesterday as I took kids swimming in morning and did 20 lengths too - god havent done proper swim for ages, usually just muck about with kids!

Bargainrzl has been v.kind with her words about me :o - although I didnt called "Classy" like you Catznine! I must try harder next time!! (only kidding!):rotfl:

Catowen - Im sorry I should have put on a Dora T-Shirt in the photos!
snowy - lovely to meet you and hope you enjoy windsor and weather keeps fine for rest of your trip! and good luck with your future move to the sunny B! If I come to N.I. at some point, hopefully we can meet again.
Catznine - no apologies need for DH, he's v.funny and did well with all the women! lovely to hear about the Dolphins and cooking tips. I cant help thinking to myself that you and mr catz seemed very familiar??
Bargainrzl - So you did become first postie!!!! hee hee - what can i say about her....she's v.lively and funny and is a gal who makes sure her handbag has all those "essential" items! ;) - cant vouch for her singing voice mind you as she didnt give us a rendition - maybe a few more red wines and she would have!!;) la la la

seriously though....it was great to meet you all and I had a really lovely time.:D

Gooooood morning (properly this time :D)

Had a good old lie-in and didn't wake up until 10:30. Had a really interesting dream (about moving to the south coast with my mother ) but can't remember most of it now

Here are my mini-meet piccies - need to work out the red-eye reduction setting on my camera :o

This is snowy, shez, snowy's mate, mr catznine & catznine...
Shez took this one so I could be in it...
And we persuaded snowy's mate to take this one, of just us four OSers (catz, me, shez, snowy) but I'm not quite sure what's happened to snowy in this pic :D:D Think it must something to do with the TWO empty wine glasses she's holding :D:D

Must get going in a mo - chicken to prepare to put in SC, tidying up to do, etc etc etc. And sme genuine relaxation - for once! Also am determined to have a cheapie week this week, as I overspent horrendously last week. I got paid on Friday and have already blown £24 of my £50 a month "extras" budget :o

Racy - lol at your child-related anecdotes :rotfl:

    Rzl xx

Edit: urgh. It just started chucking it down with rain... must be a bank holiday - LOL!

    Morning all

no rain here so far, shed key is still missing so OH can;t do the grass either  thought it was a lovley idea for me to do it yesterday, he would of been suprised - perhaps he should take note to put the shed key in the same place everytime, then I may be able to!

MAde the cheese biscuits last night, can;t believe that the "Really easy cheese biscuits" were really easy!!

Loved the sound of the feet cutter catznine - where did you acquire that from if you don't mind me asking?

    Breakfast - Cheese biscuit
Lunch - nothing planned, will grab what I fancy when I fancy
Tea - just deciding. Have 3 meals on the menu planner which we haven't had so far due to going to mums for tea

Does anyone use Johnsons holiday skin? I started using this saturday and I seem to be patchy and orangy? I take it this is not natural - can anyone help/advise?

    Thanks all

    Morning everyone

Well, alternating between brillian sunshine & chucking it down here:rolleyes:

After 9 days of very very long hours & hardly seeing hubby, he was up at the crack of dawn & has bu88ered off bird watching:mad: Would be nice to see him at some stage!! Spud is now crawling which means he wears himself out a lot & is currently fast asleep ... yay:D
No plans at all for today, including no idea about dinner:eek: Guess I should go & have a rummage around in the freezer, the may storecupboard challange has worked really well for me, much more space to see what I am dealing with. Now just need to get to grips with sticking to my monthly budget & I'll be a happy bunny;)

I am now 10 months into my maternity leave, I have contacted work about the possability of going back part time when my year is up but I don't really want to & they haven't responded yet anyway. I think I want to re-train as a teaching assitant but am not totally sure, don't know how to go about it & have no experience in this field whatsoever:confused: And I don't think I should do anything until Supd is a bit older anyway, maybe when he's at nursery? Oh, think I'll leave thinking aboout all this for another day...

    Have a good day everyone:T

Been very indulgent this morning, but has been lovely and stress free:D

After writing my last post went back to bed and slept till 9, then had a bath-dried my hair and dozed back off again on the bed....im really tired today..lol. OH had done some breaky and has been a nice morning of snoozing and talking and eating.

Potato salad half done and chicken legs/ribs cooked. Have a baked spud in the oven for lunch with a little chicken and salad:rolleyes: SIL called and not sure whether we're be having a BBQ but said to come round anyway. Going to take a nice bottle of red too. Quite looking forward to it as I see her a couple of times a week and we have a good natter, but she comes to work and is nice away from the boss roll;)

Catch up later. Hugs to all.

My partner's 24 birthday was yesterday, so we spent Sat eve - Sun eve with his parents, being fed and wined quite considerably :) We got back to our musty, grotty flat last night and lost the holiday gloss rather fast though :( For some reason, I started doing housework almost immediately, but at least that meant that this morning we had a clear shot at the surfaces to do some baking on.

In his office, one is expected to put on a spread on one's birthday, so he's taking in various bits tomorrow. We've done choc chip cookies (the USENET recipe that never goes the same way twice) and rice krispie cakes so far. Later on we'll do pizza whirls from the picnic thread and a pizza for dinner ;) and possibly some oaty cereal bars/flapjacks. He picked up some frozen snackles from the cheapy catering style place in town too, so there'll be sausage rolls, etc as well.
I'm printing out the recipes we'll be using, mostly on scrap paper, and eventually I hope to get all my saved recipe *.txts printed out and into a binder so I don't have to only bake when my PC is on!

Have also rearranged the sauces/herbs'n'spices/baking stuff/store cupboard so that we can get to things, and discovered a jar of Hoisin sauce! Yay!

Laundry's on, cookies are cooling and now I need to go apologise to my tomato plants for leaving them out in the hailstorm we just had :( They're in the bedroom now and they aren't talking to me...

    Afternoon

Well drove to market to find sign sayg market cancelled due to waterlogged field  I have been going to that market for years and never known it to be cancelled before so you can imagine how bad it was.

So non bacon sarnie - however to cheer us up we treated ourselves to a Maccy D breakfast then popped over to tesco's where we spent a large amount of money but got a few yellow stickered items and managed to get enough meat for at least 8 meals. Also dd stocked up on her favourite magnums which were bogof.

Rain is now hammering it down but kids are happy as they have friends round. Am pleased with myself as finally have done freezer inventory and wont have to buy any meat for sometime.

Forgot to say that farmers market was tiny yesterday but did buy some handmade soaps for my mum's bday and got the details of a local lamb & beef farm so when have run freezer down can go and stock up.

Off now to make ham rolls for everyone. Tonight will be having grilled pork loin chops with cheesy layered pots.

    PS - Loved the photo's Bargain Rzl.:D

I've been a busy bee this morning; up at 7, OH packed off to work, ironing done before I made a start on painting the bathroom. We've had the paint for weeks & I've been putting it off. Anyway, it's done now & I'm quite pleased with it. The downside of all this activity is I'm now starving & currently polishing off the remnants of a bag of tortilla chips & guacomole left over from Thursday night's fajitas. The nearest I'm getting to planning a meal for today is doing freezer rummage, there's some BOGOF scampi from Tesco so that will do. I'm determined not to spend any money today.
Rzl - thanks for posting the photos, glad you all had a good night
VickyA - best of luck with the hair/photographer tomorrow
Essex-Girl - bummer about the rain!
Lillibet - 10 months in??!! OMG, I'm getting old cos it feels like only yesterday
Skystar - hope you're back is better soon. There's nothing worse
    Cha97michelle - 60 papers a day! Wow. Rather you than me :D
PP - fingers crossed for the BBQ. We regularly have an "indoor BBQ" when the weather is bad!
Hello to anyone I've missed & comiserations to all of you who are working today, overtime or otherwise!
Mammoth day trip to London on the train for me tomorrow [sarcasm]yippee![/sarcasm]
