    Evening :)

Knew it was going to be a late one at work today and I finally got out of the office about 8:15  and just missed my train  so I went home an alternative route via the funky grass-roofed Sainsburys at Greenwich Peninsula where I happened to coincide with the lad doing the last minute reductions...

...3 x Multigrain garlic bread 20p each, TTD clotted cream 20p, TTD salmon pate 20p, 2 x packs of cocktail sausages 20p each, total £1.40 :D

After putting up with three little toe-rags at the bus stop (they looked about 10) yelling, threatening passers by with fights, and gobbing all over the pavement (you didn't chase your local horrors off in my direction did you TM?) I got on the bus and happened to get back to my local Sainsburys in time to get a few more fab bargains:

2 TTD tuna steaks 50p, 3 x TTD individual Aberdeen Angus pies 20p each, 1 carton tomato & basil soup 20p, pint of skimmed milk 5p :D, total £1.35 plus 47p for a can of Diet Coke :D

So the fridge and freezer are well and truly topped up :j :j :j There obviously are advantages to working late.

Right, off to reset my clocks (we had a power cut a couple of hours ago - I guessed on the way home as loads of burglar alarms were going off for no reason!) and then to do the washing up

BTW Shez - the fish pie recipe wasn't Catz's at all - I was getting it confused with her banana bread recipe which I printed off around the same time. It was this one here. I usually add either salmon or prawns, and double the quantities of cheese and potatoes (I mash the spuds while still in their skins  )

    Good morning everybody,

Just having my cuppa. Made porridge this morning. It was so yum. Haven't made it since last winter. I usually do it in the microwave but haven't got one here and no room in the kitchen anyway. I soaked the oats o'nite so it didn't take very long at all.

I'm going to make some bread today. I got the recipe from the veggie cooking demo that I went to. My BM makes rubbish loaves so thought I'd have a go at this. It doesn't need to be kneaded. Hope it turns out ok. Got one load in the WM, fed the dogs and just about to make the bed and clean up the kitchen. Have a good nights sleep. ;)
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Have a great holiday - you deserve it.

Sitting here coughing over the computer as my cold has not disappeared yet.

Making chicken curry tonight and need to get washing done- need to get some ironing done as well.

Dad seems quite cheerful in the hospital last night and was surprised when we mentioned the halfway project where he could be assessed for a week or so before going home so that he had everything that was needed - assumng he lets them do it.

Going to get a hot drink and will pop in later.

Morning Catherine and all to follow.
I've been loving the OS board for a while now and was hoping it would be ok for me to join in here to give me a bit of focus.... and join the gang... please?:o
It's turining into a beautifull day again here is South Wales - I so wish I was down in Cornwall with my Mum...
It's a special day for us today so we're going out for a meal - going to cost a lot, but given the celebration it's a one off - and the person concerned deserves so much more than I can give them.
Doesn't leave a lot of room for all the other things I need to do as we're going lunch time, so most will be put off until tomorrow ... but I have to squeeze in getting the car taxed as it's up tomorrow!!!!
    Have a good day all

    morning all!

Sorry not posted for a few days. I have been busy.

Firstly, my prozac is working so I am feeliong a lot better. Thank you to all who posted lovely messages.

On Sunday I took the kids to the Southend Airshow. It was very good!

On Monday I took the kids to MArsh Farm. I shelled out for membership for the rest of the year for us. It was £11 for each of the children (I have 2!) & £22 for me. It means we can go whenever & will be fab in the summer holidays! Just take a picnic & we are sorted. I also fed a baby lamb, awwwwww!

Yesterday we went to Colchester Zoo. We have membership of there as well cos last time we went I made my DH get it cos he'd just had a bonus, mwahhh haaa haaaa!!!! That was good as well. I tired the kids out good n proper!

Today so long as the weather holds there is a bouncy castle fun day at a local park. I shall take them there. I'll have to pay for that though. Am not paying for the one on Friday at the school cos I volunteered to help out so the kids get in free! ;)

I am hoping the weather holds cos I have so much washing to get dry. Thats the problem with going out all the time, nothing gets done in the house.

Also have lots of housework to do this morning.

    Hope everyone is well.

Kazoline, where are you, I am from Cardiff. Although I am now in Sarfend!!
