Goodness it's quiet on here today, is everybody as busy as I am? I've had a big work deadline (11-volume document finally went out the door 10 mins ago, and now I've finally got time to... (1) log on to MSE, (2) eat lunch - yes I know, 5 hours late - and (3) breathe. Note that MSE and food come before breathing in my list of priorities
Am wolfing down my HM chilli con carne heated up in the office MW, essential because I will be then be going out for a celebratory drink with my colleagues - not a good idea on an empty stomach! Hopefully won't have to pay for any drinks as boss's boss is usually very generous in that area ;)Hugs to all that need them - right, now I'm going to press post and see if this message posts properly (I had all my cookies cleared out in the hope of fixing my formatting problems, but in the quick reply window I'm using at the mo, my format buttons still don't work
See you later!Rzl xx

Mind you, the bottle of wine I was brought was very nice - I only had the 1 glass so plenty left for later(Yes, Nels, it IS possible to leave some in the bottle :rotfl:)
Well I would say it is possible for sure but its all dependant on the size of the bottle and of course the quantity you can fit in that "one glass" you claimed to have had:beer:
RonanKfan - well done you its great that a true fan wins the ticket - bet you will have a great time
Chickadee - thats a real bargain for you hair and colour - I pay that for just the colour
PP - Lol hope this poor chap manages to survive the curse of PPs pets!!:D
Bargain - Your right it is quiet (but im back:eek: )
Had a worrying morning as it was the day of my VAT inspection - the vat man was saying that when they had initially set up my business on the VAT system somebody had keyed it wrongly as a potential high risk for money laundering so they keep an eye on you:rotfl: bet the blue chip banks i work with wont be very happy about that but i think i may hold off telling the VAT man im working with an offshore customer at the moment in IOM and Jersey!
Anyway all is fine so i had the afternoon off as i had blocked out the whole day to deal with him.
I have nearly finished planting out all my pots now and just wish we could get some sun to bring them along - its lovely now but its a been cloudy and cold all day so far. Got my veg box today which has loads of lovely salady bits in so that will be dinner with some feta cheese i have in the fridge:T
(note: mad diet before hols next week:rolleyes: )
Right back to the garden i suppose I have my sweet pea trellis to nail up.
Have a great day all

catowen wrote:Still havnt spoken to her, but thats not a bad thing, we have rowed before, and the best thing for both of us is to leave it for a couple of weeks, so we can both calm down. As we are going on holiday a week Saturday, it will be a good excuss to ring to say goodbye if i havnt heard from her beforehand!!!
good idea! I hope you sort it out. I hate a bad atmosphere. Havent spoken to my mum since Monday and i think she only spoke then because there was other people there and she didn't want to ruin her 'saintly' reputation:rolleyes: I know my mum will come around eventually and we will all pretend it never happened!

Evening All,
I have had a totally non os day here today and it has been nice but I do feel guilty! Mind you cleared my ironing pile this morning, but washing basket is full again.
Went to lunch with some friends and their kids, was ok my my two were a bit whingey, them came home and had a peaceful couple of hours reading my subscription mags that came, then we all went out and tried out a new indian - it was lovely. Managed to hoover house before that. Unfortunately due the way my house is decorated - dark carpets and mahoganey flooring I have to hoover it everyday and when its done it doesnt look much better. Cant wait till its decorated the why I like it which will be much lighter and also wont show the dust as much - as we live in the country and have an open fire it is sooo dusty.
Wont be doing much tomm as have friends coming over but the weather is meant to be warming up at last...yah!!
Manicdays - One year i had a Marsh Farm season ticket and the kids loved it
also you get priority for the xmas nights so its def worth it.
Ronankfan - well done.
Mushypeas - (((hugs)))
Off now to watch a bit of telly and have an early night.0 -
Hi Elona - seems we cross posted and you beat me to it ;-) Sorry to hear about your cold - have you sent for the free Activit g multi vits? Mine came the other day and they seem very similar to something I used to take which was brilliant at helping me bounce back from colds etc.
Hi Manicdays - love the name! I too am on prozac, I've been taking it for about three years now. Initially 3 a day but at last down to 1 and doing great. I find the sunshine helps a lot too. Travel up the A470 and get off just before Ponty and that's where you'll find me ;-):hello:
Funky fairy - don't suppose you could wave your magic wand over my place? It never ceases to amaze me how quickly my three turn the place upside down!
RonanKfan - I guess all your Christmases have come at once! Hope you have a great time at both.
Catzine - Thanks for the tip on drying rosemary, can the same be done to dry out lavender? It looks like I'm going to have loads this year.
PP - sorry to hear that you've been feeling down. How long have you been working at clearing your debts? Four months to go sounds fantastic to me.:T
Hmmm, reading further on it seems you've certainly turned your day around!
Aussie Lass - your post made me chuckle, and thanks for the welcome. As for the oranges... be rude not to help out. Do you make marmalade? You could allways keep a jar for the new owners ;-):rotfl:
Michelle - at least with the insulated bag you won't have to splash out on the expensive ready mix milks and jars of baby food. I splurged on my last baby's pram and I was so proud of it it made me get up and out on my 'bad' days. I'm really glad I spent the extra on it as it meant so much to me (just can't bring myself to sell it now!)
Tiptoes - when we first had our rabbit I used to put buckets and bowls of water around the hutch to keep the cats away - however eventually as the rabbit got a lot bigger the local cats became scared of him (we thought it was a 'she' until 'he' mistook a football for a doe:o
MP I hope things start to go a bit better for you soon. It's a few years since I seperated from my ex and I remember when he came to work at my workplace (on another 'floor') I became a nervous wreck as I was always afraid I'd bump into him. Once all the ladies were out of order on our floor and we had to go to his floor. I kept my legs crossed all day. Now I drive around with a sign saying 'ex husband in boot' in my estate window
'Phew - what a long post. Hello to everyone else too!
Todays special meal was wonderful - Sushi. We all had a lovely time, it was great fun guessing what the dishes were and watching them being made.
Dare I say how muchit cost??? I think I'll feel better if I 'confess'. With tip, for 5, including drinks and dessert.... just short of £90   :eek:However it was my sons 16th and he is sooo good, he deserves so much more than I can give him. However there's no tv for me tonight as he and his friend have control of the main tv to play on playstation!!!

Good evening everyone,
Had a lovely day today, all the children behaved well, cleaned the kitchen floor (including under the table!! yea me!!!)the bathroom, toilet, made bread and mowed the lawn!!!! Then, we were just eating our tea, when a good friend of mine rang, and invited us over for a few drinks, so we walked over, and had a lovely evening, the children played well outside and we had a great natter, on the way home, we saw another friend and whilst we were talking, DS was playing with her daughter and ended up soaking wet as they were playing with water!!! He got home and said he had had a lovely time, all the things he has at home and a bit of water is all it takes to make him happy!!!!
Now relaxing whilst i watch celebrity x factor, which i am loving at the moment (i agree with Sharon about Rebecca Loos!!!!).
Mushypeas (((((HUGS)))))) hope all start feeling easier soon xxxx

I don't see why not, haven't tried it myself as I am allergic to it. You might have a problem getting rid of the smell for a while but I know it isn't harmful as you can use it in biscuit recipes! Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Hi Shez! It is really easy to do! I still have a tiny bit left from last year which is usable but it looks a bit sad now I have filled a pot with this years! You can do the same with mint, oregano etc.,
