Morning all

2 little ones here all day, another 2 joining after school - 6 kids in this rain -- oh joy!

BM is on, everywhere is tidy and I'm having a crafty coffee whilst little one's are doing some stickers....they're decorating each other with them at the moment - it's very amusing.:D

Need to make a chicken pie for tea later - inners are done it's just the pastry.
Also need to make some more muffins - DH's office companions were asking for some yesterday so I made a batch for them for today (I'm just far to nice).

B - Muffins
L - Left over quiche/tuna and veg filled jacket skins.
D - Chicken pie, new pots, veg.

Hope you all have a wonderous day.

Hello everyone

Good luck to all with exams or having 'confrontations' etc. ((hugs)) to all in need too :)

DS1 has gone off to school and the rain has eased off for a few minutes too. DS2 will be at pre-school this afternoon but my friend is bringing her DS2 here shortly as she is working today and her mum is away. He'd better have recovered from whatever it is he's had - she brings him to mine then announces he's got some sort of lurgy :( Mind you - he doesn't get away with the !!!!!! he gets away with at home here. Can't be doing with kids who ask for food and deliberately spoil it - if he asks for it - he eats it!!

Other than that, need to put BM on today and WM will be getting some heavy use again. Will have to resort to TD at some point I think too. In fact, will go and strip my bed now and get that washed first. Then I shall make a sausage casserole in the SC for tea - I'd promised the boys they could have it yesterday and we had the gammon instead :)

Need to do some mystery shopping online bits and pieces later -when DS2 is out of the way. May even have a go at sorting this mountain of paperwork that's appearing by the side of me. Which reminds me - best check freecycle soon - I could do with a small filing cabinet.

Ok - have a good day everyone :D

I've been Money Tipped!
Morning :hello:

I am now rushing around the house filling a box with things to selll, books for amazon, bits for a car boot sale in a few weeks time and mabe I will get brave and try ebay! It will certainly clear out the clutter.

Confession time! Having not long got back from Orlando I am off again on a holiday! This time standing in for one of my dd's friends on a last minute all inclusive in Fuerteventura! We fly out in 10 days time! :j At least it will be a quiet hol as she is shattered from her new job and just wants sun and a nice beach. So now I have to do something about earning some money to patch up the dent in our savings.

Good luck with the exams Snowyowl and Mr PP! Off to make room for the fruit and veg box that will be turning up this morning, wonder what will be in it today?

Morning :hello:

MushyPeas and SnowyOwl - think you're talking about 2 different "Jo"s. jw1096 was the one who had a cold. johanne is nicki's sister and was having connection problems.

Well just a shortish one from me this morning. I have an evening in tonight - hurrah! - which means freshly cooked (ie not reheated) food, a load or two in the WM, some music practice and an early night. Not sure what I'll be cooking - need to decide before leaving the office so I can make sure I have the ingredients. And need to do a meal plan for the weekend, as I think I'd like to cook my remaining BOGOF Tesco's chicken in the SC on Monday, so will need to be organised enough to take it out of the freezer in plenty of time.

The other meal I am planning for the weekend is an OS picnic - am going to Glyndebourne again (weather forecast is much the same as last weekend :() with a friend who doesn't have a lot of money and never makes any effort in the food department, and who I'm sure, left to his own devices, would be quite happy with an interval supper of an egg mayonnaise sarnie out of a Sainsburys carrier bag. So I think I'm going to try and take a decent picnic for both of us - just got to work out what will go in it.

Breakfast - bacon roll
Lunch - spag bol
Dinner - whatever

Edited (because I didn't read the thread properly before posting) to say:

Shez - yes thanks, got your email, will reply this evening but got home v. late again yesterday evening and wasn't fit to do anything other than go to bed.

foreverskint - it's not an official mini-meet by any means - just that SnowyOwl happened to be visiting London, and I said it would be nice to meet up for a drink and/or dinner, and then Shez said she'd like to come too! Can't see why you shouldn't join us if you're around - but venue is tba - currently looking like Penderel's Oak (the JD Wetherspoons on High Holborn) at about 7pm on Sunday evening :D

Hugs to anybody who needs them - catch you later.

Hi all

got my sewing teacher to check my apron pattern yeasterday so will sew one up tonight once bubs is in bed. made a buppy style pad yesterday in prep for toilet training.

It's chucking it down so I'll be planning a pirates sure start workshop for next week with DS. Gonna get him to have a go at the crafts I've planned to see if they are "doable" by the 18month+ brigade. Should keep us out of trouble lol!

Very Cross cos my tumble dryers not working and I've a load of bedding to do and nowhere to hang it. (I live in a 1 bed flat and everywhere is already laden with stuff drying). I only got the td just after Xmas so it shouldn't have packed up before it's even 6 months old GGGGRH! I only use it when I have to iykwim so it hasn't even seen that much use. It's saying the water needs emptying but it doesn't and it won't start - any ideas anyone?

I need to hoover before the living room carpet develops legs and leaves home.
No decluttering planned for today as the place is bad enough with all the washing on backs of chairs.

brekkie
lidls malt cereal - need to use up
lunch - hm made pizza (decorating it is another activity to keep DS busy)
dinner - whatever i can concoct from the freezer

mamaoba - sorry if this is blindingly obvious - have you tried removing the water tray (even if it doesn't need emptying), putting it back, and pressing start again? My TD has a habit of thinking the water needs emptying when it doesn't, and all it takes is a bit of persistence and several pushes of the start button to override the "Empty Water" instruction.
