Morning everyone, Morning MushyPeas and apple_mint
It's D-Day version 2, and thankfully the last of my exams :j. I didn't get finished putting notes together last night until about 1.00 am and now I need to actually learn the stuff. I am flying by the seat of my pants as I have revised three topics and we have to answer three questions out of 12. If the three don't come up then I am up the proverbial creek without a paddle.
MushyPeas....ooo I am so excited for you! I really hope that your exchange happens today as I know how much you want that house. Fingers and toes crossed for you. BTW Jo's sister Nikki was on the other day and mentioned that Jo has been having internerd connection problems (if I remember correctly). Nikki - any more news?
apple_mint, well done on going to the gym - it'll really help your weight loss, not that you're having any problems with it, I see from your signature that you are doing extremely well.
Well, off to bury my nose in some books for an hour or two. Happy Wednesday everyone.

OH has got his exam this morning, then is going up the driving range to hit a few balls. He is also going up the hospital to see an old friend who is very unwell. Supposed to be going out for our posh meal tonight, so hopefully I will feel better later. I will be today sorting more of my essay out and if finish that one, may go on to the next one.

Good morning everyone,
Just had a phone call, and one of the little ones i look after was sick in the night, so she isnt coming today, so it means i can go into Plymouth with just one littlie, which will be a lot easier!!! Have to go to Specsavers to pick up my new glasses and sunglasses, and i have quite a few things to get for our holiday, so will be able to wizz round now, as other little one will be in a buggy.
Sold a few bits on ebay last night, made £50, so well chuffed with that, a couple of them have already paid, so a visit to the post office to get those bits posted is on the cards as well. Listed another couple of things so will be keeping my fingers crossed for those bits as well.
Mushypeas - well done on not spending any money at Trago, and fingers crossed for your exchange today!
Snowy and Mr PP - good luck with your exams.
(((HUGS))) to everyone else.
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning all.
Hope your exchange does go through Mushypeas. V exciting!
Have I missed something regards a minimeet? I'm not far from London and would love to come please. Blackpool was just too far.
Good luck with the exam Snowyowl. You will be able to relax a bit when it's over.
PP, hope your head stops pounding soon, and have a lovely meal tonight.
To everyone else hello.
Right, yesterday in my attempt to get back on the wagon, i had a cooking sesh, using up all the bits. So I made a bread pudding, 2 Quiche using up some stilton and odd bits of broccolli, and a huge vat of St Delias Raagu sauce.
Today, after some housework, i'm meeting some mates for lunch (at their house) and having a rest lol.
I hope everyone has a good day.0 -
Morning all
Have you ever had one of those weeks when you wished you hadn't got out of bed at all? I resigned as Chair of the PTA last night (various reasons but the main one being everyone else resigned and I may be a mug but I'm not stupid!!) so I'm feeling pretty sad about that. Made a HUGE c**k up at work yesterday, which I'm going to have to admit to today (basically paid the wrong person - have sorted it so the right person gets paid - but I've still got to try and get the money back and admit to what I've done  ) Following on from my resignation I've got to face the headmaster this morning and give him my letter and the keys to the school - I absolutely hate confrontation so I'm a nervous wreck
Anyhow, DH has left for work, DD is dressed for school, I'm bathed and sat here in a towel (anyone seeing a pattern emerging here :rotfl: )
WM and TD are both on - house is an absolute wreck - will try and address that after work.
(((((hugs)))) to everyone - might pop in later.Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Good morning everyone
Mushypeas - hope all goes well with the exchange.. very exciting!
PP - good news for the night's sleep, but hope the headache & toothache get sorted out soon
best wishes to all with exams today
Well, the D/w is on, the washing is out on the line, chicken carcase is in the pressure cooker making stock ( I am hoping to get that done & the yucky unwanted remains in the wheelie bin before the dustmen come later on today - don't want that hanging around for 2 weeks!)
My breakfast is waiting for me to finish on here - shreddies with banana, but I like the shreddies to go nice and mushy before I eat them!
I spent a lot of yesterday phoning colleges in the area for DS. He is only 15 at the mo, but being home educated it is not so easy to get the dozens of GCSEs that they do at school - pretty expensive apart from anything else! So I want to find out what is required to get him a place in college on the type of course he is interested in, & about courses for GCSEs as well, which would be free once he is post-16. And also phoned a private school who do distance learning courses for IGCSEs, ( like GCSEs but with an extra exam instead of coursework, so more practical for home edders) basically it would cost about £300 for 2 subjects which he could take next year, so that is worth considering, too. Of course he needs to get down and do the work!
I am thinking of having a go at ebay selling too. Apart from anything else we are going to need some extra money from somewhere!
Have a good day!0 -

Morning everyone!
I didnt have kids yesterday so went out all by myself - shopping!!! dont know the last time I did that! I was so pooped out by time i got back and still feeling it today! I bought new suit for new job, pair of black trousers, pair of cargo pants, new cheapie handbag that will do for work, shoulder strap so i can have hands free when kids are with me too and mobile phone pocket so I dont have to keep diving looking for it when it rings!!!
Browzed thru charity shops got a.karmel book for meal ideas for toddlers and a book about How to Be Happy - that should be fun reading! and a little Lephrechaun (50p) hope he brings some luck!
Also had a look at the Aprons (after reading 40s apron thread on here-sad) really fancy getting me and DD matching ones!
It was really nice looking at girlie type things, some lovely sandals about - as I am usually stuck in jeans/T-shirt/trainers (not v.girlie) - sometimes when you have kids you seem to lose yourself abit dont ya?
Gonna do chicken casserole for tea, make some bread rolls, dont know what else yet today.
mushypeas - didnt do davina yesterday due to stacks of walking, my calves ached last nite!!! dont be shy about mini-meet, its all new to me too, but i am meeting snowy/bargain, think is nice to do something different. good luck on exchange!
