Went to hospital today and dad is not in a room on his own anymore and is not in his original room with 4 others either.
He is in a room with four different men and has some company and life going on around him and I think it is doing him good! He is looking a bit better and I got a phone call from hospital this morning to discuss aids and handrails etc so that he can come home eventually to his flat and be a bit independant.
Feel much more cheerful now :j

Hi Elona
So glad to hear about your dad and that you are on a rollGreat news
Ooh Shez, I'm jealous of the London meet! I dream of Pret a Manger and Lush!! I haven't been to London for ages so have just booked tickets on megatrains to come up in a few weeks time. £16.50 return from Exeter to London, bargain!
Feeling a bit better as ex-OH has emailed me, but to say he hasn't been well for the last week. I'm being strong and not replying straight away.
Exciting news....I'm going out tomorrow!!! After over a week of only being in my mum's house, or at the doctors (and a quick coffee in town) I'm going out. Hurrah! Off to Trago Mills in Liskeard with my boss. Did I mention that she's been off work sick for 5 weeks so far after a leg operation? We figured out that between us, my legs and her arms, we make the perfect person! :rotfl: Now she can drive we are escaping...though between us there is not a lot we can do. hiya everyone:j
It is only half past midnight, but i have never started the daily thread before - how exciting.
Well, feeling very good about my OS manouvers yesterday. Had roasted a chicken for sunday dinner (bit extravagent for just me, but very tasty  ). I then stripped the rest of the meat and stored in the fridge. Had rest of breast meat for dinner last night and curry with the rest. then made stock with all the leftover bones and bits. Yum. That's going to be todays soup for lunch.;)
Also have an OS cleaning day planned - not so much fun, but will have radio 2 to see me through:rotfl:
PP (and others) I have noticed htat you sell on ebay and decided to take the plunge and try and sell some things i have around the house that i no longer need/want. so that's another job for today.
HUGS to everyone and have a great tuesday
B - cereal and banana and a cuppa

After feeling fed up last week I took your advise and started to cook some easy things at the weekend and I really enjoyed myself, I now have a freezer full.
Some more items on ebay finish today up to £30 cant believe it:eek:
I have been reading flylady.net does anyone else use that site??
Have fun0 -
Hi folks
Just a very quick post as really should be getting ready.
Another day at work today so not much else happening.
Have leftover chicken from yesterday that I am going to make into a pie type dish for dinner.
Will probably just have a quick tidy up when I get home tonight. A mass of post came yesterday and it all needs sorting.
Note to self: remember and complete student loans deferral form and send back
Have a great day everyone.0 -
Morning Guys
Slept well last night and am really pleased. New tablets seem to be doing their job:D
DW is being emptied by DD. WM will be going on in a minute witha light wash and hopefully will be dry enough to put on the washing line. Toilet cleaned.
SIL is here today and will get her to do the blinds, DD's wardrobe, couple of kitchen cupboards, floors and the ironing;)
OH is tidying out some of his office and Ive told him to be ruthless! He's aloso going to do more of his course as I am as he has a test this Wednesday:p
Have a lady coming at midday from Freecycle. I only put DD's desk on there last night and ten minutes later it had gone. Have a new Ergonomic desk coming from the OU tomorrow as part of their assessment, so needed it to go. Lady is coming from 3 miles away...really pleased as it saves it laying about round here.
Breakfast:Bubble & Sqeak
Lunch:HM Chicken Curry & Baked Spud
Dinner:Posh Lamb Cutlets (£1.25), new potatoes, green beans and carrots
Have to go and finish DD;s lunch and sort some ebay stuff out. Will try and list a few more bits on Ebay today.
r.mac-Good luck with Ebay. You will love it!
Hugs to all.

Morning everyone
PP - fantastic that you got a good night's sleep, it is amazing how good it can make you feel.
Elona - you sounded a lot happier too in yesterday's post. Your poor dad, maybe he was feeling like he was on the scrap heap with the arrangements they had before. That's excellent that he's got some lively company now and can be himself.
It's a beautiful morning here in NI. After days and days of rain it's about time! Unfortunately I have to grit my teeth and gawp at books all day though I'll go for a nice long walk at some point. Just one more exam and that's it all over and done with. I would sit in the garden but it's a mudbath/weedpatch, it's not level and quite a lot of it is under a tree so the tweetie birds might pick on me IYSWIM. The tree is in the hedgerow outside the development - I wonder if the council come and cut it back a bit as it's a bit of nuisance as inevitably washing gets bird poo on it.
Well, onwards and upwards. Have a lovely day.

Good morning everyone,
PP - so glad the new tablets are working, hope they continue to work for you x
R-mac - good luck with ebay, i love it as well, trouble is, when i list items, im forever checking to see if i have any bids!!!!!
Ageandjo - well done with all your cooking!!!!
Skystar - Hello, and dont forget your student forms!!!!
Elona - glad your Dad is a bit happier in the new ward x
Well, just 2 little ones here today, so hope to get a bit more done than yesterday. I have already half emptied the DW, and i have loads to go into the WM, so will do that in a moment, along with putting the BM on, and im determind to get a batch of Curry Queens curry sauce made today as well. At the moment it is sunny, so hoping it will stay that way, so i can dry the washing outside!!!
Right, DS is after his breakfast, so better get him fed (he has hollow legs).
Have a good day everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0
