I'm sick of all this rain! My garden looks like a bog and MrW is in the garage sawing wood. Is it an ark do you think?
Lillibet, I thought I was the only one who took the dog's Valium. Your rainbow is lovely and little Spud is just gorgeous. I want one.
PP, Hope the hospital visit went OK.
Good luck and hugs to everyone who needs them.

    Afternoon all

I’m back at home – hurrah! My mum has been absolutely lovely, but she has been driving me mad, I’ve felt smothered. It’s got me wondering; was I like that with my ex? Is that why we split up? As you can tell, two weeks on he still isn’t far from my mind . I wonder how Jo is getting on?

Anyways, was fairly productive yesterday; completed some freelance work, took some shots for my photography course (see new avatar, if it works) and applied for a job. The last interview I had (week and a half ago), I was so upset due to split up I couldn’t face ‘bigging myself up’ for two hours so I didn’t go - pooh.

This morning I had my stitches out (ouch!) now on the slow road to recovery. I can use my left arm a bit more, but not much. I can (just) hold a half-full (shouldn’t say half empty :p) cup of tea. It can only get better.

Now I’m back at home I’m going to start looking after number one, me ;) Have some cleaning to do today; clean house, clean mind…ish! I can clean, slowly, with one arm but washing up is impossible! Luckily I have recently taught my 20 year old cousin/lodger how to wash-up, but sometimes things need to be washed twice!

I’m also going to use my spare time to complete some studies (maybe studying on 7 courses at once was a mistake) and get ready to move. After the vendor pulling out last week, then changing her mind to sell again, I’m keeping everything crossed. Please keep your fingers crossed for me, I need it!

Shez – how is keep fit going? I looked at some keep-fit videos in charity shops today but I wasn’t that impressed. I used to be a librarian and had forgotten about their selection, doh! ……… I’m going to start running again, but videos will be good for rainy days. We get a lot of those down here :D. I’m tempted with the Davina one, it sounds good. I used to work out, so hopefully I might be able to manage it! Do you need any props, such as an exercise mat? I think I might start calorie counting again. I did really well before, lost 4st, so should be able to get back on track…tomorrow

SnowyOwl – hope exam went today.

Hugs to PP – I hope it went well at the hospital.

Manicdays – hope u r getting through the day ok.

Aussielass – hurrah on house going through!!

Pooky, sorry if I missed it, but did your meeting go well with online friend? I’ve never met any online friends before and would like to, one day, but it seems a bit nerve racking!

Ooh Nelski, very jealous of your holiday booking :D I went to Turkey for a week once and had a lovely time. I remember the good food!

(((Kyle))) sounds like a stressful day! I hope everything is ok.

Lillibet – thanks for posting the photos, they made me smile :p Wonderful!! Spud is v. lucky.

Blimey, it is 3pm! Right, must tidy my bedroom (bomb and hit springs to mind).

    MP xx

P.S. Popped into work this morning and everyone liked my red hair.

    Afternoon

Back from the hospital:D Had to have a nice big jab in my bottom:o more bloods done, more meds given....havent changed except for for blood count which has reduced again slightly:eek: ...never mind! Have to go back next week-so there keeping check of me;)

Washload is now on airer and house is still pretty clean and tidy from friday. Toilet cleaned though. OH & I have been doing more of our courses for the past half hour, but my head is killing me-so will call it quits for today.

OH has just gone to pick DD from school and they are popping into Lidls on way home to buy some of the half price fruit and veg for this week.

Havent a clue for dinner, but we have some leftovers from yesterdays roast, or something very basic like beans on toast. Failing that I think DD has a kids frozen meal lurking that needs using...might see if she wants that:confused: not in the mood for cooking and OH is knackered with the driving today. Quite fancy a curry, but I will NOT order one and will make do:cool:

Have SIL here tomorrow doing some stuff and me ironing.

    Hugs to all.

    PP

Hi PP, big hugs. Hopefully the blood count is just a hiccup and nothing too dramatic. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Something to make you smile: My cousin/lodger is a young 20 year old male, who sadly lost his mother at a young age so hasn't learnt much about housekeeping. As I've been away for a week the washing-up has mounted up and a pile of food cartons that need to be washed for the recycling. I gently asked him if he could do the washing up for me (currently reading Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus - fantastic book) and asked him to do the recycling as well as otherwise it can smell.

He's popped down the shops to sign up to the doctors, so I just walked into the kitchen and the sight made me laugh...he's washed up the recycling very carefully, but left all the dishes :rotfl: :rotfl: Bless! I laughed rather than wanting to tell him off. I've just have to ask him to do the rest when he comes back as I can't wash up at the moment.

It's (I imagine) like having a teenager at home :D

    Hi again

Snowy - glad to hear exam went ok, looking forward to mini meet - what are you going to be doing in London? apart from meeting a couple of stoogies from here!! and enjoying our nice weather! :sarcastic:
mushypeas - Have done Davina again today (goodgirl) - if you have worked out before then you should be ok with Davina, but be warned after the first time I couldnt walk properly next day, so did more gentle r.conley for next 2 days, then attempted davina again and since and have been ok - have done it for a week now! Depends if you want a hard workout or not.
The last time i visited the charity shops they all seemed to have a copy of "Mr Motivators video" remember him???!!

PP -hope bloods sort out soon for you.

Took kids over to park, but rained so came home, they are now watching Chicken Little and im having quick surf.

Question: everyone keeps talking about HM Pizza on here - can I ask what dough recipes you are using? is this for BM?

also: Is there a difference between Wholewheat and Wholemeal Flour? or is it same thing? - I cant find wholewheat flour.

It went really well thanks, we got on very well - had a great laugh. I must admit it is a bit nerve wracking at first but if you've been speaking online and on the phone it's just an extension of that. I've met a few people I've chatted too, 1st one being DH :D He was the first I'd ever met - we were both so nervous we didn't speak for the first hour....just walked and grinned like loons.

I dont care how sick she is tomorrow its off to school before they cart me off:mad: .
