    Hi again

Snowy - glad to hear exam went ok, looking forward to mini meet - what are you going to be doing in London? apart from meeting a couple of stoogies from here!!

    Thanks Shez!

My trip to London is to visit some friends - I lived there for 15 years (that's a very large portion of my life!) and I miss it like mad. Going back to visit is a big weird - I know bits of London really really well, but even so I am only a visitor these days.

Do you think anybody else will come along on Sunday? The more the merrier I guess. If I invite my friend or her hubbie (one of them will needs to stay at home with their child) would that be OK?

PP - glad that they allowed you to go home after all. Chin up...it's easy for me to say, not so easy for you I know.

AussieLass - congrats on the house! It's so stressful when they start faffing around changing their mind, the closure when it comes is a fantastic relief.

MushyPeas...how many courses are you doing???? You must be very smart.

Elona - hope you're hanging in there today. If your Dad is grumpy with you, perhaps you could swap roles for five minutes and you be the parent. Tell him that his being grumpy upsets you, and that it upsets you when your efforts aren't appreciated, so if he doesn't mind could he keep his complaints to himself? I'm not suggesting an argument, simply tell him that it would be very heartwarming and encouraging for you to hear the words "thank you" every now and again. OK, so he might bark for a while but he knows damn well he needs you...

Guess how much study I have done since getting back after my exam?! NONE!!

Guess how many calories I've consumed since my last trip on MSE? Err, that'd be 562 (reduced price quiche), + 120 (2 Rich Tea bikkies) + 320 (6 Weight Watcher bikkies, though I don't think they work when you eat the whole packet all at once), + 150 (a slice of Duchy seeded bread reduced in Sainsbury's). Spot the fruit! Spot the veg!! Yeah there is none. Water only for the rest of the day I think cos I have been v.naughty.

    Bye again

    Afternoon

Apologies if this nicely formatted post that I'm writing turns into an incomprehensible ramble again - maybe my tech probs have been sorted out since this morning. Won't know till I post it!

Lillibet - am dying to look at your pics but for some reason my office firewall has now blocked photobucket :mad: - will look when I get home later this evening.

Snowy and Shez - oooh, a mini-meet, how exciting :D My PM box is nearly full - are you both on MSN? I'll PM you my MSN details so we can get chatting. I'll be in Central London already on Sunday (west end), and busy till about 6:30 but will then have the evening free :D Any venue suggestions welcomed!

Pooky - glad your "real" meet with your friend went well! I love meeting people online - I've so far met 10 Old Stylers of whom I'm convinced at least 5 will remain my friends for years and years! And of course I should be meeting Shez and SnowyOwl at the weekend :)

Right, let's press post and see if it comes out all funny...

Edit: woohoo it's working! and so is my edit function!

Just waiting for the kitchen floor to dry, so popped on here for a catch up.
I'm trying to decide whether to brave the oven timer for tonights tea while I go to the gym. Haven't been all weekend, so really need to go tonight. I know I'll be starving when I get in, but don't want to get back to either freezing cold or charred to a crisp lasagne! Must dig out the instruction book to find out how to do it.
OH had a job interview on Friday but won't find out til Wednesday  Interviewers never consider the wife when they take this long to make a decision. Quite a lot hinges on it, including whether we buy a new car or not, so I'm preparing for a stressful couple of days!
Hope all of you are well & happy, take care

    Hiya folks

Just a quickie for me today as I am currently in the centre of London for a weeks course. Came down yesterday and suffered the awfulness of their room service, so tonight and a couple of colleagues are off out for food.

PP - glad to hear that they didn't keep you in the hospital
SnowyOwl - one down, one to go :)
Kyle - let's hope you're lo bounces back quickly, I've found with my dd that once the anti'bs kick in she soon bounces back, so fingers crossed for a more settled night.

Right, now this is probably more directed at Bargain_Rzl - but I am going out for dinner with a good friend on Wednesday and need to find somewhere decent that I will be able to get in to! Any ideas most welcomed, my London eating days are well-out-of-date!

Internet connection here is a little dicey, so will try and check back in ...

    Ciao folks.

    Evening everyone.

i feel shattered today. The inspection at school didn't affect me too badly as i wasn't seen. I did get up at 5 so i was prepared, and spent all weekend marking, but never mind. I'm just trying to plan 1 lesson for tomorrow. I have got my perfectionist head on again though, and i am finding it difficult to commit pen to paper. I have taught this lesson at least 6 times before, and i still can't do it.

OS is a bit out of the window. DH whipped the hoover around downstairs this evening and cooked tea (chicken stir fry), while i faff. I did manage an hour and a half of ironing to try and look smart. :rotfl: Although as a result i have a pain in my stomach today, which is probably a pulled muscle.I think all the staff will collapse after tomorrow and you won't get much sense again until after half term.

Think i might try for an early night, and then start again tomorrow. I do have a meeting after work, but i should get a fair bit of work done at school if i hide somewhere quiet. I think i should cook tomorrow as DH has been a star at the moment.

PP - glad to hear you aren't worse but lets aim for improvement next week. Don't know what else you can do to be honest. Take care.

BRZL - glad you had a good time over the weekend despite all the mishaps. I don't know where you find your energy to be honest.

Lillibet - hasn't spud grown. He's a gorgeous little boy. I bet he loves his rainbow. Hope i can find some good local things to do with my bump.

Can't remember what anyone else said really as i have sneakily been reading between pen scribbles. Hugs to everyone anyway.

    Michelle, xx
