afternoon everyone!
Im having problems posting too, tried last nite and failed, gave up in end.
Bargainrzl - yes I am up for mini meet, sunday is ok for me!
Snowy - good luck with exam, hope you can make mini meet?
PP - good luck at hospital
Lillibet - what a great job! I always fancied doing a mural too. Spud is a cutie too x
got held up this morning at asda whilst the guy was trying to find Chicken Little dvd (only out today), so kids have something to watch during this rain!
Then went to Lidls - Half Price Fruit/Veg on (which i didnt know about) - but ended up getting charged too much for my so-called half price leeks! so had to go back and get bill sorted out by manager, by the time i got home it was time to go back and pick up DS2 from nursery! so no "me" time, and havent dont davina dvd yet! will do it today sometime though.
mushypeas - tried to post yesterday, about keep fit vids/dvds. Ive got Rosemary Conley, Ultimate Whole Body Workout Vid - V.good, and the new Salsacise dvd which is also good. I also bought Davina as you know Power of 3 (hardwork) I also have in loft a couple of Step Aerobic videos and a Jane Fonda and Raquel Welsh video - all are good.
If you have done exercise before the Davina is v.good, if you havent Rosemary is v.good for doing different levels.
Dont forget that apart from charity shops you can also get them from the library to try first before you buy.0 -

lol sounds like a perfectly normal day for me - up at 5am - beaten with sticks and then a bath before work:eek:
are you trying to tell me there is actually two 5 oclocks in a day?? i heard the rumour but never believed it!!:D0 -
Washing machine's died on me - won't spin (Dad's coming to fix it at the weekend) So just done all the urgent handwashing that needed doing - all dripping over the bath as we speak.
DH just phoned to say that he's got a puncture - oh joy.
And last but by no means least, littlest cat's just appeared from behind the sofa looking like he's swallowed a tennis ball......I can see he's had a fight so I assume it's an abcess.....he's purring away, eating and generally not fussed by it so will see how he is this evening before trudging off to the vets.
Surely that's my 3 for today?
Should I even attempt to do any baking - or is that just tempting fate??"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Afternoon all
Well, my weekend of birthday parties is over - thank goodness, I can rest now.
Saturday's party for DS2 was a hoot and even though there weren't many mums stayed - they all appreciated HM food and old fashioned party games
Mum's open house for her 70th yesterday went well too. Lots of HM chilli (made in SC) and lasagne along with cold meats, salad, bread, HM trifle and cakes - good wine and conversation and a smattering of nice pressies. SHe had a fab time although she's tired today. I went back over this morning and cleaned the house so at least she can just rest up for a couple of days now.
My plans for today are to clean up here - unload WM and reload it, pack DW and think about something to make for tea - have nearly emptied the freezers of 'food' (as opposed to bags of stock and odd bits and pieces) Other than that will end up playing with DS2 and his new toys - beats doing too much cleaning
Ok - must dash. Hope everyone has a good day. I hope the exams went OK snowy and the hospital wasn't too bad PP.
Nels - Olu Deniz - lovely placeDon't have any sauces on the burgers on the beach tho - that's where you'll get the food poisoning from!
Catch ya later folks

I'm back again
I totally forgot earlier to wish everyone who requires it "Good Luck" for today...must have been the bath deafening me with its cries of "come on... you know you want to...." :rotfl:
So far, 1 batch of dishes done (all the pans and baking dishes :j now it's just crockery and cutlery :undecided ), 1 load of washing done and about to be put on hangers upstairs (heatings on it's so cold and damp here!), report read through once, lunch made and consumed (pasta with pesto  ), bathroom cleaned properly, washing that wash drying sorted out. Not bad for about an hours work after I finally got out the bath about midday
Still to do :- Hoover/dust bedrooms/stairs (will take the hoover upstairs with me when I take the washing up
)
- MORE DISHES
- Dust livingroom
- Ironing - to be done while watching a DVD/video tonight...at least until Prison Break is on which will be watched in bed
ooooohhh....just looked on Digiguide and Prison break is going to be on from 9pm with double episodes starting 29th May :j:D:j:D:j:D:j
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 - Hoover/dust bedrooms/stairs (will take the hoover upstairs with me when I take the washing up

Hello everyone, thanks for your good luck messages. The exam went OK, no surprises...but after three hours of non-stop writing my right hand and arm are aching. My only problem was getting everything down on paper - I've a tendancy to waffle, and sometimes forget what I'm on about. As long as I pass that's fine! I really don't fancy having to repeat it. The next and last exam is on Wednesday morning - then that's the course over. Yippee! I've got to bury my head in the books until then though, as I haven't done enough for it but I don't have to go into work until Thursday (every cloud has a silver lining!).
The weather over there sounds terrible, but hopefully a few days of rain will help replenish the reservoirs and solve the problem for a while anyway.
Nelski - I've been to Turkey, but only to Alanya, though I would say that my impression of the country and the people was very favourable. The place I went to was bursting at the seams with Germans and Dutch (well, maybe not this year thanks to the World Cup), and I think it's the same all along the Med coast. Some of those Dutch girls really shouldn't be allowed out, they are far too good looking!!! I will be very very surprised if you encounter any problems with the local people. You'll love it, especially with it being such a bargain. Oh and of course you get duty free!!
PP - I hope your hospital appointments went ok and that you get home today.
BargainRzl - I think Sunday evening will work for me! I need to doublecheck with the friends I am staying with in case they have arranged something else. I'll call them this evening and get back to you. It'll be fab to meet you and Shez.
Bye all

Afternoon all
Quick update on last post yesterday, lo had the worst night no sleep at all, evert time i put him in his cot he screamed the house down!
This morning he was very drowsy and just not himself, so phoned dr asking if he would come out as i couldn't get up to see him, wish i hadn't asked as receptionist started grumping could i not get the bus blah blah blah as dr was busy today!!
My poor baby at this point had temp of 39.5 and rising so they agreed dr would be round later, but not happy about it!
Phoned mum as she was going to dr at luchtime so let the dr's know i would be coming up then, that was fine dr would be there to see me.
So off we go lo and behold dr is out on call and will pop by my house when he is done:mad: i could have screamed at this point.
Finally saw dr, kyle was getting worse and dr explained he has ear infection! finally!! got to get antibiotics from chemist, mum is picking it up as chemist is 10 miles away and i don't drive.
Anyway apart from that i am chilled, kyle is sleeping at the mo so hopefully he should feel a bit better when he wakes, poor man.0 -
(((((hugs))))) poor little guy! Hope Kyle feels better soon!
