    Morning everyone

Why does rain out of your own window look grim while rain out of your window when away from home is "just a splash of rain"

PP Good luck, I hope they do not keep you in

SnowyOwl Good luck to you too

AussieLass, congtatulations on the house, that is wonderful news :j

Rzl, I hope you feel better later, sounds like you got pretty soaked at the weekend

Lillibet, your dog's vallium? :rotfl: :D I thought I was bad, that did make me chuckle

Ditto here with trouble on the site, so I better go get a wash on

    Morning all :hello:

In theory I've got a busy day today...the house needs cleaning, bedding needs washing, dishes are piled at the sink again (thanks to OH not washing up when he said he would ...again  ), at least one load of clothing needs washing, I have ebay items coming out my ears (okay, overflowing their boxes but you know what I mean :p ), ironing to do, a headteachers report to read/re-read/try to digest/re-read (you get the idea) by Wednesday, school website to get as finished as possible also by Wednesday, prices for the website to sort out and I really feel like doing NOWT!!!!!!!!!!!! :naughty::rolleyes:

Right, okay, I need to move my backside. I feel the need for a deep, hot bubble bath first though then I can put the washing on...honest :p Right, check online banking and then bath ..... :shhh:

Hey Aussielass you must be so relieved - can we all come to the house warming party?:j

Good luck with your exams Snowy you have put lots of work in so you deserve to do really well - bet you cant wait for them all to be over
PP hope all goes well for you at the hospital hun
Keeping my fingers crossed for both of you today

Its all excitement in the Nelski house today after I have just booked a weeks holiday to Turkey to coincide with the start of the world cup!!:j Am going with my mate so we plan on lots of chillin by the pool with the odd cocktail thrown in!! (its such a shame we may miss some of the football but nevermind:D :D ) I have to thank the world cup prefusely though as it was only 250 quid for a 4 star (200 quid more if we had gone the week before:eek: )

Has anyone been to Olu deniz? never been to turkey myself so any tips?

Its throwing it down again here today which is really annoying cos I am starting to worry visitors to my house may be getting lost in the mass jungle that is my lawn - I have provided machettes but you still worry dont you:rotfl: I also have some pots to plant up later so Im hoping for a bit of break in this awful weather.

Food today is to be limited in anticipation of the need to wear a bikini in a couple of weeks:rolleyes:

Hope everyone has a lovely day

    Morning!:hello:

Haven't been around for a while but have a bit more energy now. Spent yesterday baking cookies using my new cookie cutters, butterfly and dragonfly which I iced in pretty colours and a great big mouth which I iced as a tribute to Mick (Jagger) :D The kids got most of them as way too fattening for us!

I am going to make cheesy feet now! Well it cheers me up on a yukky rainy day!

PP Hope all goes well for you at the hospital today

Snowyowl Fingers crossed you had a good exam after all your hard work.

Aussie lass Congratulations on the house sale!

Queenie Thinking of you as I am about to cut into some of my treasured fat quarters! I want to make some little shaker hearts to hang up. Why is it so difficult to use them? It is what they are for after all but I just want to hoard them!

(((((hugs)))) to all who need them. Am thinking of you Elona!

    Morning properly everyone this time:hello:

Well, today I have to go to the post office to post a ebay item, pick up bananas & mushrooms then this afternoon we might go & try out a soft play area but the weather is horrible & it's a mile & a half away:confused: Spud didn't sleep fantastically last night & is somewhat grumpy this morning, hopefully will improve after a nap (I might join him, he's isn't the only one who didn't sleep well:rolleyes:)

Anyway, I finished Spud's bedroom rainbow yeserday & here is. Hubby came home in time to do the rain cloud which you can just see in the corner, although it is so black & rainy that I think it is a tribute to hurrican Katrina!

    Morning All

Goodluck snowyowl with your exams, I know what you mean about hoping that all you've revised comes back to you when you get in there.
P-P[B Godd luck at the hospital, fingers crossed.
Lilebet The dog vallium thing gave me a chuckle:rotfl:

Well I've been having trouble with the site since Thursday its not let me post. Had my family for Sunday lunch yesterday which was lovely, oH did all the cooking as I had about four weeks of ironing  to catch up on, which took three hours.
Today the plan was to get washing out and on the line but the rain is bucketing it down. I've got DD and DS both off sick with diffrent thing, so I'm sure there will be a swap over of illnesses at some point. I've made some breakfast and choc chip muffins and going to do HM cottage pie for dinner.

    have a good day all

Thanks for that purple , anything would be good - I was a bit worried at first with it been just 2 females going but i have heard there is no real hassle over there - food tips would be great cos we are only half board so will need to investigate the local food:j

That's ok!!! I absolutely adore Turkey!! I'm only not going this year as I decided I should break away from the norm and try somewhere new!

I've been on holiday on my own to Turkey before so don't worry!

Turkish food is one of my fave cuisines, I try and cook a lot of it at home. They do fab fish, lamb kebabs are lush (kofte), pide (bread) with haydari (dip of yoghurt, mint, garlic, cucumber) mmmmmmmmmm!! Stuffed vine leaves (dolma), filo pastry cigar-shaped rolls with feta-type cheese and parsley (sigara boregi) are yummy. You must also try their ice-cream! And their local pastry/cakes (baklava). Ooooooh I'm getting jealous now!!! The list goes on!!! All I can say is don't be afraid to try everything. A great bet in a restaurant is the meze, this gives you a chance to try lots of different things.

I hope you have a fabulous time!!! I'll think up some more stuff and will be in touch before you go! xx
