Hi taplady. Hope you are ok, it is a terrible shock when something like that happens nearby. It can get you thinking about life.

So sorry to hear about your day manicdays. I had my first panic attack about six months ago and it was really scary. My mum even had to call out the paramedics, but they were really nice and patient with me, calming me down. I now know how to spot the warning signals and haven't had any more. Good luck when you go to your doctors, I'm sure they will be able to help. I hope relaxing at home today helped.

I popped into town today and spent money on myself - I don't do that very often....I think I need to start looking after myself as no-one else will :) My friend also persuaded me that as I'll have a house soon I'll have to force myself to take a trip to Ikea. I'll start saving!

    Have good evenings all :)

    (((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))Taplady

We had a neighbour who lived next door but one murdered in the house, she lay for two days with her little son in the back bedroom before her parents got the Police to break in................it was awful, the SOCO were at the house for a week and we were very restricted in our movements for 3 days.....it is something I would not wish on my worst enemy.

I hope you are feeling a little better tonight.

    Good Morning :hello:

Chook fed so took the opportunity to sit and watch her while I drank my morning tea; it's sooooo peaceful outside with all the neighbours asleep, not traffic noises and just the pleasant sound of the birds, very relaxing :)

Did you know that the Sue Ryder charity shops are piloting a loyalty scheme? Every time you spend over £5 in the shop, you get your card stamped and then when you have filled your card, you get (I think, haven't read it fully  ) £5 off. Interesting idea for those who shop regularly in charity shops, or rather the Sue Ryder one's at any rate. It will be interesting to see if the idea takes off and if other charity shops follow suit.

While there, I splurged on some silk ties that I wanted for a craft project, d10yo was brilliant at sifting through for the 100% silk ones :D:D Also treated myself to a book - Applique & Patchwork - for 95p ;)

Why is it, the moment you go shopping children suddenly become ravenous? Gave them 50p each in the greengrocers and they bought themselves a large bag of grapes  Best part? They were from a box near the door under the "quick sale" notice :o :rotfl: They were happy, I was happy and no junk in sight ;):D

Made some tuna hummous last night for the first time, even d10yo ate it and he has always turned his nose up at hummous before, reeeeee-sult!!! :j

Right, off to grab a coffee so I can catch up with yesterdays doings.

Wishing you all an MSE Sunday!

    Morning Everyone

Up and down all night last night so dont feel rested at all, never mind, theres always tonight:rolleyes:

WM is on and looks ok so far for it to go out on line. DW has been emptied and toilet cleaned. Floors need a quick flick through and thats it really. Beds are airing but will be made after breakfast. House is still clean and tidy from friday.

DD is currently doing her HW but got most over and done with yesterday, but she did alot of googling for some info she needed.

I have my friend coming over after lunch and I must do more reading for my essay due in next weekend:eek:

Must get OH to ask FIL if he can drop DD at school in the morning as I have the 3 appointments starting at 9am at Kings Hospital. Will take a flask, sarnies and fruit with us though. A coffee at any restaurant/cafe there is £2, sarnies are about £3 and so on.....rip off.

DD looking forward to her afternoon out with Granny, so hopefully weather will hold out for them.

Stain came out my top too:j

    Breakie: Bacon and Eggs
    Lunch:Soup and Roll
Dinner:R.Chicken, Roasties, carrot/swede mash, yorkies, stuffing & peas

    Morning everyone :D

Thank you for the tip Queenie, I buy a most things at charity shops or car boots. My local Sue Ryder is the poorest of the charity shops and I rarely buy anthing there, but worth a look when I am somewhere else.

I have a busy day today. DD (14 last Saturday) is having a small party is celebrate in the house today. She wants a traditional OS children's party!
So I will be spending the rest of day after church preparing for that. The cake is done and most food fairly quick to prepare -need to make a couple of pasta bakes for a friend that eats little but pasta, so just off to do that. Cake is ready as are other sweets. I need to fill some pittas and make some pizzas later. I am simply going to do the pizzas on little baguettes. We need a couple more games, so any ideas please post -thanks.

Prudent-Good luck with the party and am sure it will go OK.

Shez-My laptop kept doing that after they did the updates on the site. You need to log off the site and wipe your cookies of the computer. Resign in and all should be OK

Shez - re: Everyday Biscuits - how 'thick' was your roll? I tend not to make my roll too thick, so when I slice them, they don't spread too much. As for how thin to slice them, we like them thin for that "light-bite-melt-in-you-mouth-nibble" sensation :o:D
Ooooh, low-fat hummous sounds good - will have to look out for that :T

As for Euro - didn't watch it all, but did see Finlands winning entry  :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :o
Prince's Trust we watched, WOW! Annie Lennox was brilliant! :T Yes, Dame Edna was a hoot!!

Hope DH is very successful with the BF and you find lots of inspiration for amusing the dk's today :):)

manicdays - hoping today is a little brighter for you. Panic attacks can be extremely scarey ((hugs)) Good luck at the GP's.

MushyPeas - I've tried the target in the road therapy, ((hugs)) , it didn't work. Fingers and toes X'd for you! Good for you for spending money on yourself :):):)

somo1 - oooooh, waffle maker! Have fun with it :D

pavlovs_dog - I was going to check behind the sofa, but if I do that, I just know I'll find a load of dust bunnies hiding  :o Daren't risk it! ;)

Snowy - I hope my motivationlessitus isn't contagious  If I find a cure, I'll let you know asap!

tootles - enjoy a lovely day out today :D:D

dorry - sorry to read that work has been miserable for you :( Hope next week if better or end of August rushes fast forward for you! ((hugs))

elona - great bargains at the outlet centre. :T Posi-vibes still being sent for you and your Dad.

taplady - How very shocking and distressing!!! The poor family! Thank goodness the offender has been arrested swiftly!
As for your own health, try and see your GP. Even though it's nothing you can pin point, better to get things checked out. ((hugs))

culpepper - Birthday Wishes to your dd! :D:D Wow you did brilliantly with your sewing! I'm really not very good with clothes so I'm very impressed with your successes :T :T :T :T

Does your SR sell dolls houses? All the one's in the towns around do - seems to be their 'signature' item. Sadly, the shop is only ever going to be a 'good' as the quality/quantity of items donated. Mind you, they are also going to be doing some form of donation tax relief thing, but I didn't really have time to listen to that as well :o

Wishing you success with the birthday party :T
