    Hi all
I so rarely get to post as am working long hours & having to help hubby too. Babysitting DGS Saturday night so DD & DSIL can go out for a meal, as it's DD's birthday.
I came home from work today to find my fence down, damn wind.
Hope everyone has a good day.

    Good luck jw

PP - how was The Da Vinci Code? OH and I are going to see it tonight. I'm getting all excited as Lincoln Cathedral was used in the filming of it. The actors also stayed in the hotel where OH and I are spending our wedding night (in Lincoln).

Finished my lovely day of w*** and finished for the week :j :j :j No more children until Monday. Well, I tell a lie..... we're seeing some friends this weekend who have a 23 month old girl, but she's not as annoying as my Year 6 class have been this week! ;)

OH and I have just had an invitation to a Scottish ball in August. It's from a friend who is in Australia, but comes back to the UK every year. I've always wanted to go to it since I learnt the dances when I was in the sixth form, but never got to go. OH is having to look at when he's working, but I've told him that I would LOVE to go! Plus, I've heard that their house is lovely.....

Better go and sort out OH. He's got back from work and is now fast asleep. Which would be fine if we weren't going out..............

    Hello :j

Had an interesting day today. Someone managed to set a fire extinguisher off in one of the classrooms, so that was a beautiful mess. And also, i managed to get tangled up in a big row between 2 members of my department, one of them being my good friend who's pregnant, and she got herself in a right state so i ended up sorting her out.

Then a detour via the vets, to pay £70 for Fred's vet treatment. He doesn't have any bone or hip damage, so the vet thinks he might have nerve or soft tissue damage. So i'm left with the option of physio, and if it doesn't get better, a potential leg amputation. I will try to avoid that one though poor mite as he in't in pain particularly and it seems a bit pointless.

Plans for the weekend - lots of preparation for the school inspection next week. Also, try and spend some quality time with DH. I'd also love to see the da vinci code film as we both loved the book, but i don't think we'll squeeze that in. More likely it will be a run around to get the housework and garden done, and then collapse on Sunday to save some energy for the week. Shouln't life be a bit more fun than this?? I can't wait for half term.

Tea tonight will be gammon with mash and beans. I may indulge in a small glass of wine as i'm feeling in need today.

Have a nice evening everyone. All this BB talk is giving me pangs. I am torn between wanting to watch it because i always do, and thinking it was a bit of a waste of time last year and i have so much to do at the moment.

    See you all later,

    Michelle xx

    Evening All

The film was pretty good considering all the bad press it has had:confused: I would say though, that you do need to know a little more than basic biblical knowledge to understand some of it. Personally, I would say its a good film and worth watching, but we are all different and have different views. DD & OH enjoyed it too and OH is normally very critical over films etc:rolleyes:

Came back to a lovely clean home and hospital visit went OK. Some blood levels have come back quite high though and Ive been put on some meds to hopfully stabilise them abit.

OH popped into B&Q after film whilst I stayed in the car and he bought some reduced plants for some tubs we have in the back garden. Its all very green out there ATM and needed abit of colour so hopefully these will do the trick:D

Will have 2-3 washloads tomorrow as didnt manage to get the other loads of bedding done today as it was raining and only have 1 airer and DONT want to use the TD. Not sure what weather will be like tomorrow, but hopefully better than today.

Have 6 parcels to pack up tonight so they can be posted tomorrow and current bids on items on Ebay are at £14 with loads of watchers on a few designer items. They finish Sunday, so hopefully will make much more:p If Im up to it, will get another 10 items ready to be listed on Sunday tomorrow and the relist items that dont sell. Sticking it all in a seperate account.

    Take care everyone.
    Hugs

Well I m back from our house sitting, had a good time, but its freezing here, have put the heat back on, that the trouble with living with an Aga for a week. I cannot believe how well I slept out there, I think we must suffer very badly from light pollution here, the house is Georgian it has shutters as well as curtains at the windows, have not been waking until 9am most mornings.

Had a busy day, stripped our beds and washed the sheets and towels, cleaned the bedroom and the kitchen so everything was nice and clean, dog and cat brushed so they looked smart........I amanaged to get the washing dry between the line and the Aga, sheets folded after they came off the line and put on the lid of the Aga, no ironing needed..... towels hung on the rail...all done by the time the lady of the house arrived home. She has asked us to go again later in the year.

We got home just after 3.30pm to a pile of junk mail and a cold house, have put bottles in the bed tonight to keep my tootsies warm.

My daughter and her children came over to us on Wednesday, pity it was so cold we couldhvae swum in the pool, but it was just too cold and wet.

Now I have to settle down to the simple life again, we were picking asparagus from the garden for lunch, there was so much I had to give some away!!!!! we just could not eat it all oursleves. Tomorrow its down to serious dieting. I have been quite good not eating bread etc but I did have roasties on Sunday with my chicken, have not weighed myself but will do so when I get up tomorrow morning.

Right, I need to answer some emails and pack up a parcel to send off.

Morning everyone from v.v.wet and dank N.Ireland. I have to be grateful though, it is Saturday and so don't have to go out into that horrible weather. I am on countdown for my exams, and as they are on my mind is probably why I am awake so early today. So that is going to be the sum total of my weekend, ie looking at books in preparation for Monday morning.

    Happy Saturday everyone

:hello: Morning Snowy and to all who follow :):)

Sun is shining here, but wet and soggy outside from overnight.

Not much OS'ing been going on in Queenie-land the past few days so I really should get my R's into gear :o so, if anyone stumbles across my lost motivation, please could you return it?

Aside from getting the uniforms/bedding laundered, I haven't got a firm plan for the day; except for turn off the computer before getting too sidetracked :o

Have a lovely Saturday everyone and good luck with your studies, Snowy.

    Morning Guys!

Slept quite well last night so am pleased:D

1st washload is on as I type and weather looks lovely ATM, so hopefully it can be hung outside. Managed to do another last night and put on airer before going to bed-so should only be another 2 loads today. DW needs emptying and toilet has been cleaned. Rest of house is clean and tidy;)

OH is going to put the plants we bought yesterday into the largish pots in the back garden, so should jazz it up with a few colours out there and not being so green. I mean its lovely but needs some colour out there. OH plants the privets on Thursday and their taking very well so far-be nice once they grow into bigger fuller bushes, but apparently they dont take long to start growing and thickening up.

DD has a ton of HW to do and Im going to do some reading today also. My next essay is due at the end of the week and have several hospital visits up London this week-so wont have much time.

Also I was going to ask-My SIL gave me a lovely top the other day, the 2 in 1 tops with a shirt under. Its a lovely sage green but there seems to be a slight fat mark to the front-what can I use to remove this if anything:confused: Its a designer top and would be a shame to bin it as it looks new apart from this mark!?

Anyway, going to go-will catch up later.

    Breakfast:Scrambled Egg on Toast
Lunch:Baked Spud, ham, cheese and salad
Dinner:Steak,HM Chips, onion rings, garlic bread and chips(didnt have yesterday as we had a KFC using a voucher:D )

    Have a great day everyone.

Morning Snowy Owl, and good luck with your revision and exams!

The sun is shining here at the moment, but with the wind I guess that could all change! I'm up early as I'm finishing an assignment, in fact I barely slept last night, as I keep finding ways to distract myself! I am on my second load of washing this morning, and I have no more threads to read so really I should crack on and finish the final 800 words.....why do I do this to myself!!

Other than that, must remember to put the breadmaker on to make some dough for Pizzas and the like, have been thinking that although I like to make it by hand - I DON'T have the time, so best to use the appliances I have to make my life easier!!!

Well, I must get this done as I have school today so must be finished by 8am!!

Have fun peeps, and hope you don't mind me writing to your daily thread!!

    M

Blimey - morning Queenie :) how are you Mum?! I think your motivation is lost playing with mine and how do you turn the PC off....I think I am addicted to sitting in front of it and listening to the hummmmmmmm

Morning Penny Pincher, empathy for the essay writing - I have one that needs to be completed here! Good luck with it and the hospital visits
