  • Hiya!

Sorry to hear you're not feeling so great. How about making some beauty bits to pamper yourself with? (In the mega index all sorts of bits and pieces!) Bit of pampering and "me" time might be a good boost?

    Thank you
I will have a go at a bit of everthing you suggest, I dont know why I am fed up really (I think time of the month is looming)
Purpleprincess- what part of Sussex are you from?
  • Or you could borrow a book on crafty things like making candles or soaps? Very stimulating when you get a nice result, and there are some easy ways to do this, too!

the anticipation of the seeds growing into something is a small and pleasant buzz

Pleasant buzz? My windowsill is covered in dirt and everything I plant out seems to die, either to slugs or just withers away!

Ageandjo - sorry, don't let that put you off! Keep trying with the baking. My cakes always look a disaster but as my husband says - the looks don't count, just the taste!

Its terribly childish IMO, but sometimes I bake cookies and use "writing icing" (comes in little tubes) to draw little designs and faces on them!!

    Morning :hello:

Had another chat with big boss yesterday afternoon about the possibility of new job. Sounds like they definitely want me to do it, but I have no idea when, or what sort of salary I'll get offered. I'm going to be quite firm with them because I suspect it will start in July, and I get an automatic "cost of living" pay increment in July anyway, so I need to make sure that any pay rise I get is is going to take that into account. I got caught out that way once before  Still, it sounds positive.

Boss is in worse mood than ever because Big Boss has already told her that not only is he planning to steal me, but also our super-efficient admin-girl-slash-general-dogsbody! (who is on holiday today so I have lots to do)

Had a good night out at the opera on our freebie tickets :D, went to the pub afterwards and they had one of my favourite beers on at a special price :D and we ran into an old friend who I hadn't seen for months. So an excellent night.

Weather forecast for East Sussex tomorrow has gone from black cloud with 2 raindrops, past black cloud with 1 raindrop, and is now black cloud with 1 raindrop and the sun peeping out from behind it. So it's improved on earlier in the week but still wouldn't really appear to be picnic weather  especially if the wind speeds are anything like they are in London today! I can just envisage me and my dad sitting IN HIS CAR having our posh picnic supper - it has happened before

Realised I needed to do some urgent washing this morning (i.e. had run out completely of trousers and bras! :o) so stuck WM on timeswitch, bras inside a pilowcase with a knot in it, and as I'm out tonight, housemate is under instructions to put everything in the TD except for the contents of the pillowcase. Had to wash my jeans with all my whites (just so I had them clean) but should be OK, they're quite old and certainly colourfast (touch wood!)

PP - hope everything goes well at the hospital, and hope you enjoy the film Not sure if I'll go to see it myself (haven't read the book) though it isn't that I object to it on religious grounds - I take the view that it's only a work of fiction so I don't see what the problem is!

freya - hope some cash comes through for you soon ((((hugs)))) (but your new study area sounds lovely - and so does your baby :D)

smokey112 - hope you have as fab a time in Blackpool as we did :D I did have a good look, but I'm really sorry, I couldn't find those Pleasure Beach discount vouchers :(

Snowy - enjoy the "do" :D

    See you later
    Rzl xx

    Hi everyone

Cloudy in nottingham today, no rain - yet but i'm sure it will come!!

Not to busy at w*** today so that always helps.

Saw baby picture this morning - baby Isabel Louise (she is so cute but so small!!)

Elona - glad the chemo is coming to an end for your dad. You will start to see him pick up slowly but surely now

Bargain Rzl - your admin type thingy sounds like me, except it can;t be as i'm at w*** not off, well I like to think I am super efficient. Looking after a VP and Director plus a team of 12 based between 2 offices!

Think I may have a go at pizza dough this weekend. Have done my menu planner but haven;t included Sunday tea as it's usually packet soup or sarnies so I may have a go and do HM pizza!

Busy weekend this one, am going to the "Cattle Market" tomorrow with my mum, auntie and uncle (he is dad's brother so I enjoy spending time with him, dad dying really effected him as dad was 6 years younger than him) we visit the auction rooms and also get some fresh fruit and veg.
Then we go to the Victoria MArket for peas and mint sauce - it's like a mini family tradition thing!
Sunday, we have a memorial servie organised by the hospice where dad died so that's another emotional day for us all.

    Breakfast - Easiyo and grapes
Lunch - Salad with chicken and cheese
Tea - Chicken and Pasta bake with HM Garlic bread

    Have a good one all

Hello and hugs to all from France, though I really don't think you would want me hugging you at the moment, think very muddy drowned rat and and you will get the picture.

The weather here is abysmal today so I have given up my walking plans and am planning a long hot bath, sort the aching muscles with some Eucalyptus, ginger rub then curl up with a good book.

Had my first ever meal in a Michelin starred restaurant last night and it was absolutely fantastic. (sorry, I hadn't the nerve to ask for the recipe). I always thought such things were all hype. Changed my mind now, it really was very special :D

Sorry for all the typos, this keyboard is hard work!

Happy belated birthday ANACASTA :bdaycake: I hope you had a good one.

    Bye for now xxx
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

That sounds nice, is it one you make yourself or buy?
