    Good afternoon all,

I looks like the heavens are about to open here. Great! A quiet day at w**k as my boss is on study leave. Cue the radio being on & me singing away to myself. It probably sounds like a cat's being strangled in here to anyone passing by the door!

I'm off to my Body Balance class after work. All the classes I do change every 12 weeks & we're about 6 weeks in now so I have more or less got the hang of the new moves/routines now. I just about get them perfected & it's change time again!

Tomorrow I'm getting my hair cut straight after work then I'm going to buy a bike. I have been borrowing one for a while but feel I should give it back now summer is (hopefully) comng & my friend is more likely to want to use it herself. The boyf & I went looking on Tuesday & found a good deal. He's out for the day on Saturday, so (weather permitting) I can go for a nice long cycle ride to keep myself busy.

Lunch: Cheese & pickle sandwich. Piece of home made flapjack
Dinner: Chicken, Sausage & bean cassoulet

Just back from shopping and have spent a bit more than I thought I would ,but I feel so much brighter so that is all that matters.
Off out tonight to a lecture about crime and punishment at my Grandsons school in Chatham. They have a speaker every year on a different subject.Last year it was the Holocaust. Sounds grim but it's not really, and there are free munchies. The 5th form lads all wait on you hand and foot and are very nice lads. It's a night out anyway
  • Have a nice evening JackieO, sounds nice all those lads waiting on you!!

    It's starting raining here!! Grrrrrrrr!!!

    Hello everyone :hello:

I hope that this works today, as I thought that I'd posted yesterday but my computer crashed

I've just bought my outfit for my hen do. :j :j We're going to the races, so I've got myself a lovely long dress from Wallis. I did try on dresses that come to the knee, but my legs looked like tree trunks. Not normal tree trunks, but big fat "major oak in Sherwood Forest" type tree trunks. Not very flattering at all!

I also decided to buy (courtesy of our joint account) a bottle of our favourite South African wine. When we were there (SA) a couple of years ago, we went to this vineyard and discovered (or so we thought.........) this fantastic bottle of wine. Not the most expensive bottle, but a nice everyday one. Needless to say, we had a couple shipped over and promptly found it back on the shelves of Tesco for a cheaper price. At least we can have it whenever we like. I also had a voucher for 100 extra points on wine, so it was worth it. Honest :D

We also had a wine delivery from Tesco.com last night. 6 bottles of white and 6 of red. It'll keep me going for a little while. ;)

I felt really terrible at work today. I'm not sure what it is. I went to see the doc yesterday because I'm having "spasms" in my stomach. Result? I didn't realise that prescriptions are so damn expensive now! I also asked the doctor about any tips and tricks on how to lose weight, considering I'm quite healthy and do exercise. She basically said to keep at it! Ah well, at least I'm doing the right things!

    See you all later

    Evening.

thank god there is only one more get up before the weekend. I should be feeling fab as my lesson observation went very well considering the group, and i didn't have to stay back for an hour to run a revision class as no-one turned up.

but, i'm feeling tired, and i can't be bothered to keep working flat out, and i know i've got the rest of tonight and then a weekend where i'll also have to work hard, and its making me grumpy. I've also got the cat at the vet again tomorrow, which is going to take up hours, and cost a bomb. And DH's laptop looks to have broken, and he bought it from tiny who since went bust. So it might prove expensive. I don't want to play today.

I should be working now, but i'm just waiting for a CD of resources to copy onto my laptop while the CD drive is playing, as it hasn't worked properly for 6months, and school won't fix it for me, awkwardly.

Tea will be easy cook pasta with bacon and tomato sauce, then crumble. Didn't get this yesterday as DH had only eaten lunch at 4 so we just had soup. One more week to half term. Bring it on.

Happy Birthday Ancasta - hope you've let yourself have some cake after your dieting success.

I'm going to slope off now and stop procrastinating. At least i've already had a bath tonight, so i can just eat tea and then slob in front of the telly when i make some progress.

Still trying to catch up on the last few days threads.

The meet with my friend went really well - lovely bloke - just the same as he is online (you never can tell until you meet them). He's here until Saturday so we've been out and about doing all the touristy bits in the area - sometimes when they're on your own doorstep you forget to visit them. Think him and his fiance would love to move to the area - they're currently in the Black Forrest region of Germany but would love to live by the sea.

Not alot of OS been going on - although there is a SC chicken going at the mo. DH arrived home earlier from his few days away and has gone to bed to catch up on some much needed sleep - I've strict instructions to wake him for Big brother (yes - we're both big fans - we watched the first series together in seperate houses before we lived together and would spend the entire programme on the phone just with the odd comment - sad? noooo! lol)

DD's have book day tomorrow so I've sorted out a makeshift "legolass" and "hermione granger" costume for them. DD1 was filmed for most of the day for teachers TV - she was very nervous first thing.

Hugs to all who need them, happy birthday to everyone who's celebrating and  to all in need of a glass.

    Good Evening All

Most unproductive day here - cold is better but just had no energy today so washed kitchen windows with frabic conditioner and will see first thing tomm when the sun is on them if they will smear , did 1 load of washing and popped to asda's and the bank.

Hopefully will wake up tomm with loads of energy as really need to give house a good tidy and hoover and attack the ironing.

Cant make my mind up whether to watch BB, have watched it since it started but really didnt enjoy it last year - will see how it goes.

When in Asda picked up Lamb Breast for the slow cooker after reading about it on here somewhere, will try it tomm. Really need to as menu planning went out of the window this week and havnt eaten well. So plan to have with mash peas and cauli.

Am going to have a really early night with the telly in a min so hope you all have a relaxing one as well and enjoy yourself if you are going out.

**purpleprincess** have fun with your breadmaker.

Just got back from visiting my dad in hospital.

He had had the last of this lot of chemotherapy injections tonight and they need to keep checking the platelets in his blood and make sure he does not catch an infection as his resistance is low.

Did a quick bit of shopping this afternoon and made salad with quiche for tea.
Tomorrow will be cauli cheese for me and DH and maybe pizza for DDs.

Hello everyone, this is my first post. Today has been the usual for me, a bit of Ironing, sorted kids rooms out, then they had friends over for tea.

Got suitcases down from garage loft today, covered in mould - not very MSE but then after trying to clean them, bought new ones cheap on ebay, very MSE :)

    see you again soon, Lizbug
