    Morning all!
Very quick post as am running late today
DS has piano lesson this morning, then off to Suffolk to stay with friend (also home ed.)
Washing is out on line, so am hoping it will not start raining while I am out... may be a vain hope, I think. But I do prefer washing that has been outside - smells better than if it's totally dried inside!
    Happy birthday Ancasta
PP - hope things improve for you... but I am so impressed with your bargains
have a good day - everyone!

    Hiya all

    Happy Birthday ancasta :bdaycake:

It's lovely and sunny here at the moment but it's forcast for lots of rain later so no washing will be going out. I have to go shopping later - it's DS2's party on Saturday and my mum's 70th on sunday so need to get it today as will be busy tomorrow. Also have to buy £100 worth of choc and cans of pop for Mr TM's cadets tuck shop too!! I look really healthy walking around with that lot in my trolley :rotfl:

Want to get on and do some serious tidying today. The littlies managed to drag all the toys to places where they aren't supposed to be so will be moving them back later :D Have a huge ironing pile to do tonight. Mr TM is out so will have to drop him off first then try and get boys to sleep some time before 9pm!! :(

Right, need to have a shower and hair wash and I want to go to Aldi today as I think they have something in their specials I wanted - box trees? Can't remember, but just wrote 'Aldi' in my diary :D Will check my emails in a bit.

    B: cereal
    L: sandwiches
    D: Shepherds pie and veg.

    Have a good day

    Morning

Ive not long woken up. Yesterday was a fairly good day really, met up with a friend I havent seen in 6 months which was lovely, and then went to work and earned my £20 m&s voucher. Its residing in my purse until ive done enough studying to warrant me leaving the house to spend it!

I also won the bookcase I wanted, I had to go slightly higher and managed to get a bid in 53p higher than someone else with one second to go! My heart was beating like mad!! Im pleased though, its worth it, it matches other furniture I have and is going to look amazing.

Todays plans are to take a shower and then start revising like crazy, ive got to go out this evening as my musical friend has a show and im going with a uni friend that I havent seen in around 6 months either, so that will be nice to catch up. I also had a text from another uni friend i havent seen in about 2 years who will be near me on friday night, so im meeting her for a drink too. I forgot that I actually did have friends and need to make an effort to see them more!

Hope you all have a good day!

    Morning all

Sorry havent had time to read the thread yet, will catch up later. Busy day today. The WM is going on in a minute with the nappies in, then I need to go and get the weekly bits and pieces from Aldi and the farmshop. This afternoon SIL is doing my hair, as shes still training it takes quite awhile, DH is watching dd and my neice so at least it will be relaxing. In between times i need to make something for our tea.

    Have a good day everyone

    Happy Birthday Ancasta!!!!!!

Morning all. Another sick day here today . DD's glands are majorly up and she's complaining of a really sore throat. Looks like she won't be going back to school until Monday at this rate. :( I'm feeling much better though, just a sore throat which only pains when I swallow now instead of constantly like it was yesterday :)

Yesterday OH did 6 hours overtime  Major problem in work which meant no administration work has been able to be done since Monday so he was determined to get it fixed yesterday but still went in an hour early today as well as it wasn't quite done :silenced:

So far today 1 load of dishes washed, 1 load of washing done. Another load of dishes about to be done and a second load of washing in the machine already upto the rinse cycle :D I really need to have a sort out of papers and get some bits and pieces done, like copying OH's wage slips so he can send them off to the student loan company to prove he's still not earning enough to start paying them back :j I know it's still a debt incurring interest but at only £10 a month maximum I think it's better we get the other debts (like credit cards!) paid off.

Must get on. Off to make the beds since they've been airing since 6.30am :rotfl:

    Morning all :D

    Happy birthday ancasta!

Am feeling all upbeat this morning about the possibility of being promoted, so I treated myself to a Pret a Manger breakfast - skinny latte and a yoghurt & pecan muffin - £2.94  but as it looks like I'm well on budget this week, I don't care.

Last night's chilli con carne turned out amazing. I did a big batch for "me & the freezer" as the recipe said it served 6-8. And for once, it actually did make eight portions! I ate the first with brown bread rolls and guacamole, cooked enough rice to portion up with three of the others, and in the interests of freezer space, did another 2 portion boxes for the remaining 4 portions (I do this a lot - I defrost a double portion, split it, cook the accompaniment, and have half for dinner and half for the next day's lunch).

Skies are still grey but it isn't actually raining. Am praying for good weather by the weekend when I am supposed to be picnicking in East Sussex. BBC online forecast has improved marginally since Tuesday - there's now only 1 drop of rain coming out of the little black cloud, rather than 2

Off out tonight, with freebie opera tickets. Best friend (GBF) was so grateful for me getting him a freebie that he came over to my office yesterday (we work for the same company) to lend me some stuff - lots of sheet-music I've been looking for, and a CD I've wanted to hear for ages :A

So, breakfast: Pret muffin & latte
    Lunch: Chilli with rice
Dinner: Cheese & Mushroom ravioli with pesto

Hugs to all - sorry you're not well PP, and sorry your DD's no better nicki. Shez - rhubarb will freeze fine just as it is, cut into chunks. Jo - congrats on winning the bookcase on ebay! TM - are you sure that choc's not all for you :naughty:? (((hugs))) to master catowen on losing the match, and FRUGALPIE - I hope you get some good news about your BP (eeeek, nearly mistyped and wrote BO :rotfl:).

    See you later

    Hiya all

And what a lovely day I am having!

Thought it was going to be "One of those" as I had been dreaming about dad in the night and woke up all upset and shaken this morning (even though it was a nice dream).

As I got off the train my mobile rang (number withheld) so I answered it, having no idea who it would be.

It was my close friends hubby (took me ages to work out who Chris was even though I know him well!!) telling me he was a daddy, My friend gave birth last night! :T :j aww little baby girl - i'm so chuffed!!

Looks nice outside today so may have to go for a walk into town at lunch to buy Baby clothes :D

    Breakfast - banana
Lunch - Ham and salad and crispbreads
Tea - mum's think she's doing pot roast

Have a lovely day all x
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice
