purpleprincess - the chilli recipe was on the BBC food database, here.
Weekend picnicking plans are part of a trip to the opera at Glyndebourne. I managed to get tickets for loads of different things in this year's ballot - normally I only get some of the things I apply for :j :j - on this particular occasion I am going with my dad and he's supplying the transport, picnic (proper expensive catered one with champagne :D:D) and refunding me for both the tickets, which are only £14 standing-room ones anyway :D:D

So imagine me and my dad dressed up to the nines, sitting on a lawn just outside Lewes while it buckets it down with rain

    13_10_3.gif Happy Birthday Ancasta

Day has got off to a great start with my lovely postie delivering a cheque for £50 from a premium bonds win :j :j :j Cant say its the best investment I own seeing as i have had them since a kid and have won two lots of £50 (not a very MSE interest rate! but its a bit of fun and you never know the next one may be the biggy!) still itll pay for the champers if Rzl gets her job - she insists on the best;)

Off to the airport in a bit to fly to the very glamerous Isle of Man ( ) for w**k. When my customer told me they were based off shore i got really excited thinking Cuba or Brazil :D but no its was the Isle of Man!! Anyway the plane is one of those tiny propellor ones so I opted for no breakfast this morning just in case the wind gets up!! Actually though its looking quite nice out there even some blue sky so hopefully it will be and uneventull 40 mins (lol it will take me longer to get to the airport!)

Anyway best go i suppose - hope you all have a lovely Thurs
    xx Nels

Thank you for all the lovely messages and I feel abit better now and apologise for the short post earlier.

Our pivets have arrived for the front garden and look like twigs about 60 cms high, but OH assures me that they grow quickly and will fill out soon:D He is busy outside sorting them out as I type:rolleyes: He's also done the teddy cabinets glass.

My friend came round earlier and stopped for about an hour. She had a call when she was here and had to go into work-although she has a few days off. OH & I have been invited out to a posh restaurant next wednesday evening in a way of an apology for her not being able to stop long-she does all her business lunches etc there and know how expensive it is:eek: Its about 20 mins drive away, so hopefully I will be ok. She's emailing the menu later so will be asking questions probably about what this or that means:rotfl:

Anyway, best go and will chat later.

    hello-

delivery update - noone rang the dorrbell, but a card has been pushed under the front door to say they tried to deliver? Very strange. called up and they won't redeliver I have to collect. No idea how to do that as I have no transport and they are in the middle of nowhere miles away. grrrrrrrrrr***

anyway, managed to save £ 100 on my B&C renewal quote which is fab. Decided to pay it outright this year to make a bigger saving. Also trying to remortgage - proving to be a long drawn out process even with Martin remortgage guide. :D

Also saved £20 on my gas and electricity by signing up to Scottish hydros new telephone service, can cancell immediately ;) but they are cheaper than BT anyway (which is what i currently use). Will do me until i get onto the cheaper phone providers.

oh and going to shop around to change utilitiies again if i can get them cheaper :D *smug looking face*

still need to visit supermarket, and clean some more of the house. Oh and lunch might be a good idea too................

    Rmac- Congrats on your savings
