I know most of you have gone to sleep and I am a bit late ... but hey! I just thought I'd say "hello".
Welcome to Lizbug
Yesterday I was a bit more OS than today, yesterday DD and I made blueberry muffins (or "puffins" as she prefers to call them!) and an apple and blackberry crumble, hung the washing out - then rescued it and hung it on the airer! Wombled around the market, chatted to a friend in the market for 1/2hr and then went to Wacky Warehouse and ran the childers ragged!
Today was work, so not at all OS, then again nothing non-OS either!
B - Cereal plus "puffin"
L - Toasted cheese sarnie
D - HM Chinese Stirfry wiv noodles
S - erm, kebab when DH goes and gets it!
Went and had all my hair chopped off this evening - think - just above waist length to just above shouldersMuch lighter!!! Wonder what DD will think of it in the morning!
Chatted on the 'phone to a GF for an hour this evening, I've never had a GF who I've nattered to for that long .... EVER!
Tomorrow's aim - survive w***, book train tickets to London as I'm there for a week on a course, bake DM (darling ma!) her choccie birthday cake which she has "demanded" as she is babysitting on Saturday night! Shove a load of washing in the machine and either hang it out or hang it in, suspect the latter ... and die myself brown .... watch out marmite legs here I come!!
N'night all!GC - March 2024 -0 -
Morning everyone...it's Friday!!! Yay!
Just a quick one from me this morning as there isn't a lot to tell you. The weather in N.Ireland is bad, v.rainy. I'm off to w*** as usual. I'll be home late as I have a leaving do to go to tonight - I don't normally bother as the firm is rather clicky but I get on especially well with today's leaver. I'm really sorry to see her go. We'll probably end up going for a meal, but as I'm driving I can't drink, so shouldn't need to spend too much.
Otherwise, it's a case of "another day, another dollar".
Elona, I'm glad to hear your dad's chemo is finished. I really, really hope that he shows a marked improvement in the days to come.
Hope everyone is well, well rested and has a fab Friday.

Morning all
Really windy by the coast today I thought my hanging baskets were going to fall off the wall.
Made a lovely curry yesterday in the SC why is it the chicken tastes so much nicer when it's been in there?
My house looks like a bomb site for some reason I seem to have no end of ironing piles wherever I go!
Had 3 hospital appointments through the post yesterday for my partner, one to see the neurosurgeon, one to see the orthapedics specialist and I can't remember who the other one is for but I will be going with him as his health has got a lot worse recently and I want to make sure he tells them that, as he has Hydrocephalous he forgets things too (sometimes conviently in my case;) )
Sold some items on Ebay this week made £134 I am well chuffed:T Perhaps I will get my shed back now
Have a good day all0 -
Hi everyone,
I don't post often (I don't think I'm 'O/S' enough!) but I always check in and see what you are all up to and how you are.
W**k today and a big scary meeting about my project that will launch in seven weeks time. You know, one of those projects that you have complete understanding of and are confident will be delivered on time, nobody has shown any interest for months despite you trying and now 92 (slight exageration!) people want to sit round a table and discuss* it
*Discuss = pull the work you have done apart and change all your plans!
Sorry to sound negative!
Not been going to bed early enough so have felt a bit under the weather and down for weeks now so am looking forward to getting lots of lovely sleep this weekend - there always seems to be so much to do! A list of jobs as long as my arm!
Am planning big clean this weekend - get to all those corners that I normally miss and will have my microfibre cloths and Stardrops at the ready! Also going to do some weeding and garden planning as well as lots of other wee jobs. Might try a batch cook if I get time as well. Oh, and also have a job interview to prepare for next Thursday! Not too sure about it but going to go to the interview anyway and see if we like each other!
Anyway - guess I'm here to say hello and for a bit of O/S inspiration!
Have a lovely day and brilliant weekend!
