Morning everyone. Quick post again - work really does interfere with my time on MSE. I am on holiday next week, so looking forward to an OS week and catching up with all the posts.

scottishspendaholic - all the best for the meeting. PP was spot on when she said the critics lacked ideas themselves.

smokey112 - enjoy Blackpool. Its quite a drive from here, but took dd once years ago and she loved the circus in the tower.

ageandjo - well done on ebay sales

Smokey - hope you feel better for your weekend away.
PP - enjoy your film (im looking forward to seeing that one too) and hope hospital goes ok.
Snowy - hope you enjoy your evening.
Shez - well done with the exercise dvds, i normally start them for a couple of days, and then find excusses not to do them again!!!!!
ageandjo - hope OHs appointments all go well.

(((((((HUGS)))))))) to anyone i have forgotten, and all who follow!!!!

Well, its wet, but sunny outside today, so hoping to wash the kids bedding and get it all out on the line today. I have 3 little ones here today, and someone to fix my radiator, so will be a busy day today!!! I also have to go and have more blood taken this morning (the little ones love going to the doctors, strange children!!!!) im not overly keen, but hey, needs to be done!!!! Im hoping next week will be the last one, but i suppose it depends on what my platelet levels have done!!!
Anyway, also have some cleaning to do (didnt do the dusting yesterday!!!) and i really want to do the kitchen floor as well (well, the bit under the table that i normally 'forget') and i need to make some bread and pizza dough for our tea tonight.
Right, lets get started, have a good day everyone,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Good morning everyone

It's a bit changeable here weather-wise, so no washing out today (in fact the sun has just come out, but I don't trust it to stay that way!. The house doesn't look too bad at the moment (yippee!!!) in fact the ironing pile is small enough to be contained in a basket!

PP - hope all goes well at hospital
scottishspendaholic - hope the meeting is better than expected!

everyone - have a good day

    Morning folks

Snowyowl - Hope you have a good evening.

Ageandjo - Well done on the ebay sales. I have loads of stuff I keep meaning to try and sell on ebay but as I have never done it before so keep putting it off.

SS - Good luck with the meeting and the cleaning.

PP - You must let us know what the Da Vinci Code is like. I really want to see it and yesterday I got money off vouchers for a cinema through a dvd rental place I used for a free trial so it really would be criminal not to use them

Shez - Weather here is rubbish too. Really dull and miserable :(

Smokey - Have a great time in Blackpool. What a mad bunch that went into the BB house last night. Can't wait to see what they get up to!

Been awake for a while this morning but my mum had given me a bundle of old magazines (Chat, Take a Break, etc) yesterday so I just lay in bed for a bit reading through them. What a state I get myself into though with some of the stories in them. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Have now stripped bed and this is in washing machine as I type. Will get the bed made later on.

No other set plans for today. Most housework done yesterday. Just a quick tidy up and hoover needed today.

Took some mince out of the freezer yesterday so will make something with that today. Probably just a bolognaise sauce type-of thing.

I had some bananas that needed using last night so I made some banana flapjacks. The recipe included raisins but when cooking most of the raisins seemed to "pop out" from the rest of the mixture and then after it was cooked and it was being cut any remaining raisins did the same thing. This is the first time trying this so any ideas what went wrong?!?!

Gonna go just now and get on. I started typing this over an hour ago and keep getting distracted by reading about Big Brother. Won't get much done by doing that.

Have a fab Friday everyone :D

Recently I have been fed up with the day to day things of life and I want to find something to cheer myself up without spending too much money if any ( I usually go buying clothes when I am fed up but I don't want to do that)

I am rubbish at making cakes etc to be honest I need more than an idiots guide to baking but I wish I could do something like that.

Don't feel you have to reply to this I am just having a grumble out loud to you lot:o
  • i too was a rubbish baker, and always wanted to be better at it. i found going to the library and borrowing various kids cookery books got me started, the recipes are simple and plainly laid out for you, and usually taste delicious, lol. just thought it might be an idea for you to start off with if you want to get into baking. i still use some of the recipes from them i copied out, esp things like flapjacks and biscuits.

    Hi ageandjo,

sorry to hear you are feeling fed up. Have you any interest in gardening ?- I know it sounds silly, but the anticipation of the seeds growing into something is a small and pleasant buzz. How about customising your current wardrobe ? effective and cheap.

Exercise... apparently it makes you feel great and some get addicted ??!?!??! personally I can not comment on this as there's about as much chance of this for me as appearing on the front cover of vogue !!
