Happy Birthday Elaine373:beer:
Well today has been non os! Popped out to exciting places like Wickes and Argos - grabbed a bacon sandwhich on the run (dd came with but stayed in the car - made an amazing recovery by lunchtime). Bought a cheap MP3 player for her trip - spent 2 hours trying to download songs - to find out it will only take songs downloaded from CD'sso it will do for her trip and for her birthday she would like a more expensive one. Now I know how quick and easy it is Im going to make up a few CD's of my favoutite records - think might try and make my own invigorating one for housework.:D
When finally sorted that inlaws turned up before I could prep dinner - they then outstayed their welcome (not diff to do) so ended up with a takeaway chinese - money was in the budget this week and we really enjoyed it but will be better tom!.
All this talk of exercising has made me feel guilty, Ive been promising myself to take our dog for a LONG walk each day for months but not got round to it -well will start tomm whatever the weather.
Am now going to watch a bit of telly but think will be asleep by 9.45 as feeling really tired - oh well tomm's another day & will make it an os one.
Have a lovely evening.0 -
Hi again
Chilli con carne is in a pot on the stove and smells divine :drool: - the only hitch was that the recipe wanted a beef stock cube, which I thought I had but didn't, so I used a Kallo veggie one instead.
Tesco had lots of packets of nice-looking sausages reduced to 40p from £1.89, but when I checked the ingredients I found that they were only 60% meat - no thanks - am a sausage snob and although I often buy them reduced, they have to be AT LEAST 70% meat, preferably more (and specify which part of the animal each percentage of the meat is from!)
Happy birthday elaine373, I know you miss your mum but I hope you have a nice day anyway ((hugs))
Cheers for everybody wishing me luck with possible promotionthe downside is that in the interim, it looks like my old boss will be "borrowing" me back for a week next month, as my successor has handed in his notice and nobody else knows how to do my old job which I did for 5 years and got terribly bored with :rolleyes: (part of the possible new job will be to eliminate the need for somebody to do my old job
)

I can't believe no one else is here! I hope I don't cross post.
Visitors coming this weekend, so need to finish tidying up. TD on, clothes on radiators, WM ready to go once we've finished showers. DW needs unstacking, and whole house needs hoovering.
Have a good day everyone - It's nearly the weekend!

Good morning all, we must have had a good night's sleep last night as there's hardly anyone on this morning. I had an early night as apart from footie there wasn't a lot on the box. I have to take my daughter and her puppy to the vets today as the little mutt has to have an injection.
Then it's off to Hempstead Valley for some retail therapy to cheer myself up. The sun is shining at the moment but I don't know how long it will last.
Hope everyone has a good day and I'll try not to spend too much but I feel like treating myself to something totally useless and frivolous. probably regret it later no doubt.0 -
