Penny-Pincher - Must be something in the air - I took my oven door off yesterday and cleaned it with Bar Keepers Friend :D
JackieO - (((((hugs))))) - thinking of you
Nickie - Hope you and DD feel better soon
Nelski - well done on your bargain baskets :T - they're normally really expensive

Well, work was busy today, spent all day checking the accuracy of April's figures (that the bookkeeper enters) and corrected all the c**k ups!! Of which there were many  Consequently it has more or less been decided that the bookkeepers goes and I get trained to do her job  Not sure whether that's good or bad

It's a miserable day here so TD is on again  Am just about to iron everyone's clothes for the morning - so I can get an extra few minutes in bed ;)

I suppose I'd better do something about tea, before Deal or No Deal starts........

    Bye for now
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Evening all.

Managed my day back at work without too much fuss. I wasn't anywhere near as productive as i was yesterday though. There is always someone who wants a chat, and when you have got most of the day unscheduled, it makes it hard to knuckle down.

Had an interesting moment because someone who left our place over a year ago on not very good terms had said to someone to ask me for a reference. I was a bit shocked as she had not even had the courtesy to ask me, but then twigged i'd been asked because she thought i'd say something nice. I didn't want to write anything incriminating on paper so i had to ring them up. This is a person who basically didn't do her job right, and then lied about why she was leaving, and we know she applied for a job a few months ago and lied about what responsibilities she had had with us. Tricky.

I also found out i'm being observed again tomorrow. With y8 who were poorly behaved this afternoon, and in a really bitty lesson as it will be revision of the topic we are doing. I hate being watched, but i suppose its good preparation for the inspection next week.

So tea will be something quick like pasta and tomato sauce, and leftover rhubarb crumble from yesterday. OS wise it has been a feeble day, but the weather is a bit too miserable to inspire me. I just want to curl up on the settee with a book when its like this.

Only 2 more days till the weekend. Me and DH are determined to do something nice as we have not seen each other for the past 3. I think we might go and visit his cousin who got married a few months before us, and is also expecting a wedding anniversary baby. Plus nice food, lots of cuddles, and a chance to plan out the rest of my pregnancy, ie shopping trips, decorating schedule for downstairs, how much more to save and lots more.

Best go and hang my washing up. It''s still in the machine from yesterday, oops, as i ran out of steam. Then a quick cuppa before home and away, and then my extraordinary lesson will be planned for tomorrow. Joy. I will be in bed for 10.

    Love to you all,
    Michelle xx

    Hello all,
Just a quick post before the football. I've just got home after a hideous 3 and a half hour journey back from work (only went 25miles). There had been 2 accidents on the motorway, and everyone came off at the same back road as me. We were moving so slowly I turned off my engine.
I feel really tired now so am going to watch the footie with boyf and then go to bed.
Hugs to Jackie O, sorry today will be a sad day for you.
Bargain Rzl, fingers crossed for you with your new work opportunity.

Just been to hospital to visit my dad. He is still being given chemotherapy and is now being given platelets as well. He is so bloated with fluid retention his pyjamas wont fit him and is almost to weak to sit up in bed unaided but is still looking forward to getting back to his flat.

Hate to be pessimistic but it really does not look likely from what I can see at the moment.

His washing is in the machine and just hope I can get it dry tomorrow.

Managed to get the rewindable cassette Dd needs for her language exam so that is a relief.

Just as we were about to leave for the hospital my youngest was sick so she had to stay home with her older sister.

I think moggins said she was due to go into hospital about now so may be why she has not been around.

Does anyone know if curry Queen is o.k?

gosh at long last ive been able to get on the site - dont know if its my computer or the site?

anyway, you'll be glad to know i did the r.conley Salsacise, was really good! (20 mins). thought it might help loosen up the stiff leggies!

My first freecycler has been and collected my buggy, she bought me a small bunch of flowers (nice). Sad to see it go but nice to see it has gone to a good home! (feel good factor)

Went to Tescos to ONLY get jersey royals - £36 later!!!!! oops
got some reduced salmon, had that tonite with potatoes - yum.
Had a go at those bread rolls (thanks twink) I was held up in tescos so the bread has started rising in the BM - took out carefully, shaped as best i could and cooked to see what happened - actually they came out ok! i thought they were for the bin - so next time i hope to shape them properly.

DH replacement r/c helicopter arrived today (anniversary pressie), should be fun tomorrow.

watched the happiness programme earlier - in the hope of staying positive/happy!

Elona - hope your dad gets over his bloaty feeling soon.
jackieO - hope today wasnt too sad for you.
