Good Morning all
Sorry to read that most of you havent slept well, its horrible when you cant sleep and then have to do a full days work. Plus, sorry to read that a lot of you are feeling unwell. DS2 is full of a cold, so I am likely to come down with it in the next couple of days, just in time for the weekend
Had my first physio yesterday. I remembered to wear matching underwear, which was just aswell, as I did have to strip. Anyway the physio found the prolapsed disk (hurt like hell) and concluded that yes, I have a bad back! Came home, limping (again), with exercises. Back to the pain killers again this morning. I did ask about going privately to have an MRI scan and then see how I get on with treatment. Some days I can hardly move and its getting worse as the months (or years) go on.
Dont have too much to do today, baked quite a few things yesterday, which isnt really me, but they all turned out nice. Might try it again next week. DS decided to have a hissy fit tho, cos he wasnt getting my full attention. I swear that since he turned 2 (last week) some one has removed my quite content baby with a horrible moster. Went to a garden centre on Monday and because I wouldnt pick him up, he threw some pots on the floor and they all smashed, I had pound signs in my eyes  I'm sure if I shaved his head I would find 666 in there somewhere. Ahh well, at least I am married to a vicars son, so I should get some devine help :rotfl:
Sorry about the moan..........
I'll get off now

P.S. JackieO, I too will be thinking about you today. My dad died when I was a young slip of a girl. However, I was born on my parents first wedding anniversary and I hated celebrating my birthday afterwards, in case it up set my mum too much. And it doesnt matter how many years go past, you always remember certain dates. (((((((((Hugs))))))))))I also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like youwould like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing

Morning everyone
(((hugs))) to JackieO - hope today isn't too bad for you, hun. xx
I too slept badly last night. DS2 came in about 12 .30 but he slept pressed up against Mr TM so at least I wasn't boiled last night as usual. However, I did keep waking at least once an hourI kept dreaming he'd wet our bed (but he didn't
)
This morning I have my friend's DS2 over to play wiht mine. She's working today so I'll take them both to pre-school after lunch then off to Preston for a mystery shopping job. The boys are currently in the back garden with a bowl of water and some strange fish-toy thingy - it's keeping them quiet I suppose :rotfl:
The weather isn't too bad at the moment - will put a load in the line when WM finished. DW is on and I'm doing a tidy and general clean today - except dining room which will be done after the gerbils come out toplay as the boys end up creating far too much dust from the sawdust. It's time for the critters to go into one of the boys bedrooms methinks
B: toast and green tea
L: sandwichespizza, salad and chips (curry and naan bread for me)
Ok - off to do a vac then will sort my 'tupperware' cupboard - I'm at the 'take my life in my hands' stage everytime I open the door :rotfl:
Have a good day

Jackie - massive hugs will be thinking of you today.
Sorry to hear so many OSers off colour today get well soon all xx
Bargain - I have to say I am shocked and disappointed you fell of the wagon last night how the heck did that happen:rolleyes:
Having a w**k cram this morning so I can take some time off this afternoon. Im meeting my mum and dad at the pub opposite BandQ for lunch then I am taking them and their 10% savings card (Wednesdays only for pensioners) to get some new garden furniture - theres already 20% off so it will be a bargain whatever:j Yesterday I found a fantastic nursery and got some gorgeous hanging baskets for a ridiculously low price (I couldnt have made them up myself from the garden centre at that price) I think I will be visiting this place a lot for my plants just goes to show what the mark up is at the big places.
Yesterday I took my first delivery of an organic veg box. Im doing this to challenge myself to eat something a bit different from carrots and broccolli which i sleep buy every week from the supermarket!
Anyway I now have some gorgeous carrots (!!) fennel, aubergine, aparagus, potatos red onion bananas pears and apples so my 5 a week (or is it a day:D) shouldnt be a problem.
Gonna have a route in the recipe index but does anyone have any nice ideas for fennel cant say ive ever used it before
Anyway best get ready for lunch and B and Q
Have a lovely day all xxx0 -

I will certainly be having a glass of wine this evening too, but it will be just the one as the BBC website's chilli con carne recipe calls for 2 large glasses of red (which I would take to mean about 500ml altogether?) so will be slurping what's leftIn fact the recipe, would you believe, actually states "Pour in the red wine and boil for 2-3 minutes. While waiting, pour a glass for yourself"
(Edit: and no, it's not a Keith Floyd recipe
)
Oh and by the way Fennel makes a nice base for a saladOperation Get in Shape

Afternoon all
Sitting with my brother’s laptop, also doing some work. Hi JackieO, sorry that today is a sad day, but it must also be happy with lots of cherished memories. ((((hugs)))) to you.
I hope the meeting went well BargainRzl. I love the BBC food website, a great resource!
Shez – well done on all the exercise videos. I might have to pop to my charity shop to buy some.
Nuttyrockeress – well done on your shopping bargains! Tea sounds yummy.
Sorry to hear about your back outrageous_monkey, I have a bad back and find that I get really tense. I have a nice, self heating neck warmer thing from Boots that I put on in the evenings and that helps. Almost as much as a glass of wine!
Ticklemouse – hope the Tupperware sort went well. I have some wire baskets on the inside of my cupboards in which I stack the lids and then I stack the boxes inside the cupboard. A life saver, before that the cupboard was always a mess!
Good luck with the studying purplepincess, what did you do to make your hummous so tasty?

Oooh I had a lovely meeting with big boss.
He's got something in mind which would rescue me from my current boss sooner rather than later, would be a fab development opportunity for me with lots more responsibility but still no staff (yay!), and would probably send me back to work for my old boss who I got on with. AND he mentioned that magical phrase "So how much is it we're paying you at the moment?"
But am counting no chickens until they are well and truly hatched!
Hope all's well with everybody

Hello all,
Here's hoping all the tired people get a better nights sleep tonight.
It's now pouring with rain here. Lovely. want to go for a run after w**k, so hope it eases a little.
Myself and the boyf. had a day off yesterday which was lovely. We had a lie in, then had a drive out to some nearby woods which are FULL of bluebells and had a lovely walk, went out for a spot of lunch, then went to ASDA & bought 3 DVD's & some chocolate with a £20 gift voucher. I went to Step Aerobics, then came back, ate dinner & vegged in front of a film munching chocs! I feel nice & rested today.
Lunch was a tuna & sweetcorn sandwich & some fruit
Dinner will be home made curry & naan bread
