He will need to write to Honda Headquarters explaining the situation, the decision is down to Honda HQ, not the dealer.0 -
While the mileage might be low, the car is still 6 years old. If thats the only major fault you've had in 6 years i wouldn't be complaining.
The horn packed up a year ago. First ever horn in any car that I owned pack up.
Just to repeat. It's the only major problem I've ever had as I look after my cars & expect them to look after me.
HONDA = Had One Never Dare AgainNice to save.0 -
Do we really have to?:D
Actually I was talking to a friend last night, he works at my local Honda Dealers, he said that Honda do in fact carry out some guarantee work FOC on cars up to 5 years old, so they cannot be as bad as the OP is attempting to portray them.
What work would that be? Thought you said not even the bulbs fail on a Honda?0 -

Here is one page about Honda's bad gearboxes.
I rang around a few gearbox specialists and they confirmed with me that the fault was with the input shaft bearings, which turns out to be a common fault on the Jazz and Civic box's.I have phoned a few gearbox places who seem very familiar with the issue. Honda UK customer service, on the other hand, say it is NOT a "known problem" and as the car is well outside its 3 year warranty, they do not want to know.
If it's a common fault then Honda should pay to repair THEIR fauly gearbox. So much for Honda reliability when all there most popular cars have a massive fault on them.Nice to save.0
