Strange thing is, my friend is now on his third Honda Jazz, he changes them every 3 years at around 80,000 miles, never had any problems whatsoever with any of his.
Just out of interest why does he keep changing them if there's nothing wrong with them, the jazz has only recently changed, so he has been replacing a perfectly fine car with an identical one, or is it leased or something0 -
What a lamentable situation ...and yet Jap cars are held up as paragons of technical excellence and reliability. Bin it and buy a Mk3 Golf.0

He thinks that it is the most cost effective period to change, he does of course also have the peace of mind of being in warranty at all times, not that he has needed the warranty of course..0 -
I read a report on car makes the other year and Hondas were by far the most reliable car you can buy.
Only have an 80% 'fault' rate straight from the factory. That's the best you can buy.
A fault could be a loose piece of trim or rust on an exhaust, but these are brand new cars.
The worst in the report was Peugoet which achieved over 300% fault rate (i.e. 3 faults per car on average), followed closely by Fiat.0 -

Japanese pr is excellent. They never have faults, and we all know that as they keep telling us.
I worked in automotive, japanese cars never had a fault under warranty, as everything that was changed and sent back to the factories was reported back as "no fault found"
European came back with a full investigation, with corrective actions.
Statistics are wonderful.0
