As time (and contents value) is important, it may be worth paying the extra and using special delivery for this, rather than just recorded.
    Hi Quentin,
They also should make provisions for taking it back. As the phone is not required and they refuse to advise then why should the phone be insured for them by the customer ???
There is no problem providing it is sent recorded.
Once it's at the post office thats the end of it !

I had that problem, I wanted to know if the prices on the website included VAT customer services didn't know

So they put me on hold and asked someone who didn't know either ...then rudely hung up !!!

  • righhht... update on the situation:

After explaining i want to return it due to the fact i wanted it price matched and this had not been done, i was put on hold while they checked with sales...

they came back "sorry we dont do price matching"

as mentioned above, i had to point them in the direction of their own website where they have a page dedicated to their price match guarantee..!

so back on hold again while she checked with sales again..

"ok, i can see the page... for some reason our sales team didnt actually know that existed!! unfortunately im on my own in the returns department today so im unable to help you, but if i can take some details either the supervisor or myself will contact you on Monday"

so she took full details of dialaphones deal, a copy of the automated email sent from mobiles.co.uk confirming receipt of the price match request, i confirmed that all of the price match instructions were followed...

so...... hopefully i'll get a response Monday.. maybe :D

    Hi Oneaday,
We had this problem too and was advised that in the absence of any instructions received to send it back to the registered offices of the company rather than an address which may not be current. As the phone came with paperwork from their office I would send it there.

I am getting flashbacks now of my experience with CPW in 2005. Although I never needed to return anything - I think I remember some painful waiting on phone to speak to someone - anyone - not the music

Dialaphone / phones4u send clear paperwork on how to return an unwanted phone - why cant this lot do that and stop acting like clowns.

I just had a thought suppose Chris kept that phone as is - claim it to be lost and get a replacement and cancel insurance. Two phones for price of one?

    Hi Chris,
The problem here is that the clock is running and the 14 days are fast aproaching.
Good luck whatever you decide to do.
