  • scratch that. Just found their old information about the cashback in my "mobile" folder. Not once does it mention that if cashbacks are missed/late that the following ones are null and void...

    The other thing is - if I downgrade my policy will that mean they get no commission?
  • I signed up for mobile rainbow in April of 2007.

    I sent all the first 6 months bills off, by special delivery on the 23rd Oct, well within the 15days needed.

    45 days went by... still no cashback.

    I emailed them...
    Reply dated 14th Dec:
    "We would like to inform you that your cash back has been verified by the cash back department and you can expect the payment within 25-30 working days."

    Over 30 working days went by... still no chasback.

    I emailed them again...
    Relpy dated 17th Dec:
    "We would like to inform you that the cash back payment has been delayed due to technical updations at out end and we apologize for the inconvenience caused due to the same. As per the latest update from the accounts department, your cash back payment is on top priority basis and you can expect it within the mentioned stipulated time as per the previous mail."

    Still no cashback.... and it was time to send off a further 2 months bills, which i did again via special delivery and within 15days..

    I emailed them again...
    Reply dated 21st January:
    "We really apologize for the delay in responding to your emails as there was system upgradation at our end.
    We have already forwarded your cash back concern to the accounts department on Top priority basis; however, the backlog is making the payment delayed a little more than anticipated. We request you to kindly cooperate with us as we are trying to rectify the situation at the earliest."

    It is now the 6th February 2008.... STILL NOT CASHBACK.

    I have AGAIN emailed them... i'll keep you posted on what they say...

    I had to issue legal proceedings to receive some/all of my cashback
    danielle just start MoneyClaim legal action against them, they will cough up soon then

    Really frustrated: Mobile Rainbow issued a defence and paid 2/3 of the money I claimed from them (they ignored the 4th cashback that I was claiming in advance due to breach of T&C). This happened just before Christmas so I waited for the MCOL people to get in touch. I was keen to continue with the claim and go to court. I heard nothing from the courts and called them at the end of Jan. They said they would resend the info. Again, nothing reached me. Just called them again and learned that my claim has gone into 'stay' as I didn't respond within 33 days. It will cost £40 to reactivate the claim. I can't see there being any chance of adding that to my claim as MR will say it's nothing to do with them. Really annoying. The only alternative would appear to be wait until the 4th claim is overdue (at the end of the month) and then start a whole new claim if I haven't received it by then. Any other suggestions?

    Seems like it would just be better to start a new claim to avoid hassle if its due soon anyway.

    Out of interest, how long did they take to issue a defence?

    yeah, I think that's what I'll have to do. It's just really frustrating that I'll have to start it all again, through no fault of my own. Just glad I got most of the money back!

    In answer to your question, I submitted the claim 20/11/07 (cashback was 47 days overdue by this point) and the defence arrived 18/12/07. They paid me some money back on 17/12/07. So it definitely is worth putting a claim in if they owe you!

    They will ask for more time and then file some bullsh*t defence.

    Anyone got any advice re my last post?

    The court letter says to write to both them and mobilerainbow if I want to proceed.

    got 2 contracts from MR,in june and july07.sent first cashback claim on 12dec and 31dec 07, still waiting for cashback,no contact whatsoever. they wont pick up the phone at 08708013651 and wont reply to the emails. could anybody please please please tell me what to do??
    am i gonna end up wasting £840???
