No thanks - keep your stench to yourself.
strong purfume or aftershave clings to everyone else on the overcrowded bus or train etc but do we moan about it? and smelling of the foul stench of old spice or whatever? no we dont. even when it gives us a headache. There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -
A couple of years ago, before the smoking ban, you non smokers said very little about all of ths debate we are having now, You came into the pubs, enjoyed the company, said nothing but just got on with it.
So how come now you (2 posters in particular) are getting on their pontificating, holier than thou, bigotted high horses, so now who are the hypocrites or were you just too cowardly to say something at the time..make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I didn't. I've wanted a smoking ban for years now.
Can I just suggest that this thread isn't actually going anywhere but igniting more and more heated and emotive debates.
The OP's initial statement was "I wish you could sue smokers!". I feel we've detracted from that somewhat.
To get back on track - I agree. More to the point, I don't see why we can't have smokers charged with assault (or whatever violent crime).0 -

I know exactly what you mean. Attempting to avoid smokers whilst going about my daily life (shopping, walking to/from work etc) is really annoying.
I'd like to walk around without stinking of filthy smoke. I feel physically sick when I encounter a lot of smokers - as some of them smell disgusting - and the thought of smelling anything like them freaks me out!
So Pinky would you answer the question pg 16 post 308I

Not a hope. Remember the 'fume cupboards' you had in the school labs? That's the level of ventilation required to reduce the risk of smoke inhalation to acceptable levels.
If smokers are a bit miffed about smoking outside, they're going to be even more miffed about being crammed into a glass cupboard in the corner of the pub......
sorry you talk cobblersI
