    Hi.
I am going to a concert at the MK bowl shortly and was wondering what options people would recommend to get there? Seems a long way from the train station and it takes ages to get out of the car park. Is there someone close by it might be better to park?

Its only about 20 mins walk from the station to the bowl and it's pretty flat all the way.

A taxi from the rank outside the station to the Bowl is about £5.50 - or if you call a local firm - around £3.50.

They usually run buses from the Station to the Bowl! Free of charge!

  • There's another of those free coffee at M&S vouchers in the Citizen. Page 21. It's valid until 18 June and applies to a small cappuccino, latte or Americano at the Food To Go takeaway counter :)

Anyone got any more tips then?

In Morrisons at Westcroft the After 8 ice cream cones are on special at 4 for £1 and they are yummy:o (so much so we ate a pack between us!)

Body Shop are selling a discount card as well at the moment - costs £5 and you get 10% off for a year, plus freebies and a birthday pressie.

sorry if this is off topic but I was sooo mad last week visiting an elderly lady in Milton Keynes General Hospital the parking was just horrendous , luckily my husband decided to accompany me at the last minute and after trying to find parking in the hospital for at least half an hour he had to drop me off and then just drive off somewhere and come back later for me . Had I been on my own don't know what I would of done....

Is there anywhere that 'locals' go to park outside the hospital so that we can avoid the problem next time we have to visit?

    Thanks

You could park over the road in Nertherfield by the local shops and just walk over to the hospital. At least then you do not have to pay for parking. Not more than a 5 minute walk.

A friend is having one done at the moment - should be finished next week - I can ask her. So far she has been very happy with the work.
