Elle - we have morning naps mostly - we rarely get out of bed before 10am - a combination of playing, cuddling and sleeping
We even have specific cuddly toys that are only found in mummy and daddy's bed - Benjamin loves them
OH used to do the same in the mornings, I'd get up for maybe an hour with Elijah and then transfer him to bed with OH as I left for work; we still do the same except he won't nap in the morning now so she has to get up with him! A cruel change
We also have a number of cuddly toys which only live in our bedroom to try to buy time in the mornings! He likes them but obviously he prefers to play with any non-toys he can find - phone charger, foil packets, water mugs...The monster slept from 1am to 6am!!! She then fed for almost two hours, on and off, and then refused to sleep. I just put her back on the boob because she was so grizzly and she went at it like a pack of hungry wolves. I don't get it.
Probably she doesn't get it either SS! Our experience was that there was really no rhyme or reason that early on  we spent a lot of time trying to work out why he did certain things and what was going through his head but it made very little difference! Good luckat least you got a good block of sleep!

Whether it's because of her jabs yesterday or something else then Alexandra decided to wake up at 3:30 this morning and was feeding on and off for over an hour - then wouldn't settle in her basket so back in our bed on the boob and finally nodded off... didn't dare move her again so I just catnapped on the edge of the bed till 7:30 when hubby got up and tooker her with him for half an hour before I had to get up and take her as he headed to work... I'm cream crackered

Naps - I don't often have them, although will try and have a lie in till 10am once or twice a week. I'll probably have a nap once a fortnight. Toby doesn't like naps, he likes to lie next to me and kick me till I get up!
MFD - usually at about 4 months there is a distractable phase, perhaps it is that? 6oz to express is way, way more than the average, so try not to be too disheartened by 4oz - that is still a very impressive amount. I have read that after 6 months it becomes more difficult to maintain a supply with a pump. Perhaps like Elle says, increase the pumping frequency. From what I've read, very few babies self-wean before 18 months, so try not to worry. I know what you mean though.
Keely - positive vibes for you! How are you feeling today? I hope BP is alright. I'm not envious of having BP taken so often, I had it done enough times to last me a lifetime while pregnant!
Talking of BP, any ladies with PIH or Pre-Eclampsia, did they monitor your BP after delivery? I had my BP taken once (Day Three) I think, and it was still high, but nothing since.
Becles - best wishes to your family. Thats a lovely thought, the flowers.
Elle - does OH laughing annoy you? OH does it, he laughs at things and I constantly have to ask him what is funny! Talking of lengths, how long with LO when born?
Thanks - I'm sorry I don't thank, when I do, I end up forgetting people! I always feel sad when I'm not thanked, and others are, so I just avoid it all together. I do read every post and thank you all in my head though
Lwcus - I seem to recall she said she wouldn't be on as much, hope she is okay.
Working from home - I can barely keep the house standing with a babbins, I certainly couldn't work too! OH finds it hard to work from home too, as he keeps getting shouted to come and look at the cute things LO is doing.
Caz - fingers crossed for you.
Buttons - I loved Mr Trebus! Was it just me who wanted them to leave him alone and let him keep all his stuff?
Jakesmummy - I'm so sorry, I hope you are all okay. Wish there was something I could say, I'm sending you hugs.
3 - Enjoy the Zoo! Can I come? I love the zoo. Not been for years thoughOH doesn't like places with people.
Feeling a little better today. Hard day yesterday, don't know if it was the jabs, but Toby wouldn't feed! I was very worried he'd forgotten, and I'd have to go back to expressing, but he has had a couple of good feeds this morning. I was also very suprised, he fell off (as usual!) then latched himself back on. Can only count on one hand the times he has done that.
My fishy is dying. He keeps lying on his back on the bottom of the tank. I'm doing everything I can think of, and he keeps perking up, but then going downhill.

Where has the sunshine gone? Have lots to do and I hate going out in the rain! Also having a bbq on saturday - maybe not eh?
Naps! I so wish I had time for them, but once Lexi is sleeping its either quality Joshua time (while its the holidays) or jobs that have been mounting up! I said to myself that this time I will sleep when baby sleeps, but I think the last time I had a daytime nap was when I was pregnant! There is always something else I 'should' be doing instead. Im always tired as Madam thinks 5am is a good time to rise.
Working from home while having baby at home = not very productive imho. Have tried it and it makes for stress when your not getting the things done that you need to. It doesnt matter how good your baby is ....
They dont say 'full time mum' for no reason it is a full time job and trying to do both at once isnt going to make for a happy mum or baby on a permanent basis.
MFD 25 pairs of socks in one week!?! You are as bad as Caz with her prams! Although I have to admit to being a bit of a blanket freakI love Lexi's nice blankets, I got her a lovely cashmere one which cost too much money, sshhh! She has far too many and I didnt just buy another one
Becles, hope your feeling a little better and Charlotte is super funny. Im looking forward to that stage again. Whilst wishing she stays small like this forever. Also sorry to hear your news
JakesMummy Thoughts are with you and your family
Hope everyone has a good day (hugs) to all the sleepy mummy's
x x x
Sorry forgot to send Keely those vibes! Hope everything goes well x
And MrsTine woohoo for your mum! I bet you cant wait

I am as we speak working from home while OH entertains the baby. I've done this a fair bit recently, but at any point where I have to be 'home alone' with him, as opposed to providing occasional support to OH, I get pretty much nothing done. Which is the way it should be reallybabies need attention, it's one of the things that makes them babies!
25 pairs of socks plus 5 more.. in one week... what are you doing MFD?? Papering the walls with them? :eek:0 -
Good morning ((HUGS)) to all who need them.
I really must stop tasting Benjamins porridge...I forget it is made with house white :eek:Babies are weird. It's a good thing she's pretty.

To defend my sock buying antics he did need bigger ones  I just couldn't choose which would be best and socks must co-ordinate with outfitsplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Morning all..
An broken night here, don't really know why, just one of those up and down ones. Rhys hasn't been much better this morning - wittering whilst I was getting stressed expressing because the builders were due any time. That was at half eight and they've still not turned up yet! I've managed to do the washing up and get dressed but that's about it. Rhys is now having ten minutes in his swing then we're off to the hospital for more blood tests - hopefully they won't keep us so long today but I'll take a magazine just in case!
Feely, the laughing doesn't bug me too much - I don't know the people he's talking to so probably wouldn't "get" the joke. When he gets txts which make him laugh he taunts me for ages (in jest) before telling me the joke, usually something very un-PC from the guys at work!
Keely, good day vibes to you!
Jakesmummy and Becles, hugs to you and yours xx
Right, builder just arrived and hospital is calling.. oh joyTTFN! xx
