Yes I did thanks MotM. Not sure if her teeth right now will alter, but it shouldn't effect her adult teeth (she was just at the dentist 1week ago, so surely if there was something majorly wrong he'd of said!), theres no saying they won't grow in squint or gammy (mine did!) but at least it won't be because of the dummy....:D
Just adds a little quirk to her having a hula hoop shape in her mouth0 -

Caught it before I switched off...
Well, it seems you are more positive than when you first posted your concerns, which is good to hear. Hopefully all will be good in the long run for her.0 -
Yeah I hope so, she's only 3, so I doubt permanent damage by it is likely, and you know braces are marvellous things, and very cute! Well I think so.....
Have a good night MotM0 -
Yawns,
morning all, just caught upI'm glad I know you all on the internet or we'd never get to chat, I seem to fade out just as you're all getting going for an evening's nattering :rotfl:
LOL, my friend's son was 63cm at birth! She thinks Rhys is like a doll compared to her DS!
 I always said my baby could be as long as he wanted. Just with a teeny tiny little headI think I'm anaemic again too which doesn't help. My "normal" iron levels wobble in and out of the normal range.
...Craig's Gran still has cancer left in her breast. She has to go back in and have the whole breast off and her lymph glands out, then a bone scan to make sure it hasn't spread further. She seems a bit down, so I've ordered a basket of flowers to be delivered tomorrow to cheer her up.
becles sorry to hear that news about craig's Gran, hope you're all ok (under the circs)
I've been taking the sachets of spatone iron that they do in mothercare. They are a little pricey, but the only ones I've found that don't bung you up!My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »I used to do this with the MW - she asked howI was and I said 'fine thanks' and then she thought everything was okay  for weeks I kept waiting for her to ask me how my pregnancy was going
That's hilarious!:rotfl:But good though, she should have been more clear in her question, sometimes health professionals do talk as if we are totally consumed by our incubator role! One MW at the hospital when I was 20 weeks pg with fergus, greeted me with '...and how's mum?' I feigned naivity and said, 'my mum's fine thanks, yours?'. Let's hope that put her off! Evil laugh Mwahhahahahaha!
Drat, run out of multi quote
Susan, cream cheese jackets sound lovely too, I'm guessing you use lemon to split your milk then? Bought rennets can achieve a cottage cheese type seperation. But probably not worth it, cos the amount of milk you'd need to make a 250g tub of cottage cheese would be nearly double the price of the cottage cheese!
MFD, I thought your quotes suggestion was very wise. It made me wonder if there are other ways the thread needs to be less daunting for newbies.... or perhaps even a new 'brand new parents thread part xxxvi' etc... for all the new graduates from the pg thread.
On second thoughts, scrap that, we wouldn't get to see piccies of all da ickle babies, so that would be bad!:o

Hello, could everyone send me positive vibes please...I'm going to see the nurse today to get my bp checked again (going once a month at mo) and need it to be ok so i can stop on the pill (have just a month's trial). Obviously want it to be normal so i'm healthy too lol. But my periods have been hell recently and the pill helps loads so really want to stop on it.
So calm happy thoughts..........

I'm feeding Alice while I read and she keeps saying, "I see baby", "I see sheeps", "I see dogs" because of all the avatars.I think I'm anaemic again too which doesn't help. I don't know where the day goes but I've certainly never got time for a nap!

My expressed milk gradually dwindled - I figured that a) Alice was probably taking more so less was left for expressing and b) expressing isn't as powerful so it probably would dwindle over time anyway.My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »He is not feeding as oftenand when he does there are far more interesting things than boobies going on
I am obsessed with when will I finish at the moment (I can't imagine ever saying no) and I think that my bonkers-ness may be due to the fact that I think he won't need/care for boobies much longerSusan, cream cheese jackets sound lovely too, I'm guessing you use lemon to split your milk then? I barely have time to sit down, never mind a nap
I have that problem (it's always low when it's tested but not low enough for them to do anything). One thing I've started doing is putting liver in stuff. I don't like liver as liver but what I do is saute chopped liver then blend it in the food processor until it looks a bit like mince and add it to mince dishes like spaghetti bolognaise or chilli.
I don't like liver, but that's a good idea and I'll try that. I know there's iron in leafy greens like spinach and I've taken iron tablets before, but both are IBS triggers and set the symptoms off. I sound like I'm dropping to bits hereIt's beyond me how anyone could do (paid) work while looking after a baby (unless it was very small hours or done in the evenings or was the sort of thing which is flexible where you can do bits here and there) but in America some people actually take their baby with them to work.
I've tried doing work during the day when Charlotte is around but it is impossible to do. I ended up doing my calls on a morning while she's at my Mam's and then typing everything up after 8pm when she's gone to bed. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Morning all.
Just caught up with last night's posts. Hope everyone is OK and had a good night's sleep.
LO here went from 7:45 to 1:30. DH put dummy back in her mouth at 1:30, then she went back to sleep for another hour, when I gave her a formula feed (technically the last one of day but she's started sleeping through that now she's in her cot and not her moses basket). She then had us up and down until 4:30 but then fell back to sleep until 7am.
Because she didn't wake for a booby feed in the night (she usually does), I had big boobs this morning. She fed on and off for about 40mins (a record for her) and she fell back to sleep about half an hour ago on the bed next to me.
I really should get up and dressed before she wakes up. Need to go to Tesco today, plus Argos to pick up a present I've reserved for a friend's son's birthday. I'm then meeting my friend for lunch at 1pm. Hmm, think I'd better get a move on!
Have a good day everyone!0 -
Urgh, I'm still here. I'm never going to get ready if I don't get a shifty on. Really am going now, should be back later on.

The monster slept from 1am to 6am!!! She then fed for almost two hours, on and off, and then refused to sleep. I just put her back on the boob because she was so grizzly and she went at it like a pack of hungry wolves. I don't get it.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
