My mum just asked me if I was okay and I said "Yes, considering I've been on the go since 6am".. She thought I'd been getting afternoon naps in - I've had one in the five weeks Rhys has been home!!

Does anyone else ever fit in a nap during the day? I don't know where the day goes but I've certainly never got time for a nap!

Also, dunno how she thought I managed it today especially as she was with me all afternoon!

Nap? What's one of those? DH seems to be able to go to sleep when Daniel gets put down in an afternoon but I seem to have a million jobs to do or I take the time to actually sit down and have a brew and enjoy it without it going cold! Although last half term when I went down to mums one day I must have looked bad as she told me to go back to bed at her and she would look after Daniel for a few hours. I love my mum she's an :A

no naps here but like MFD we sleep in, I used to nap when I just had the one though not everyday. Chris only naps occasionally, usually in the car or on me when I'm feeding Ed so no nap for me :(

No I don't! Although, while I was pregnant this time, I told myself i'd 'sleep when the baby slept', but it kind of never happened!
It doesn't help that the time that I really feel like napping is around 3pm, just as I need to leave to collect DD1 from school (when its not hols!).

I did, thanks :D - but not sure if I want to spend on something else, that I don't really need! I'm still confused as to whether I need to bother, especially as she spends a lot of the day eating the carpet/dog/peoples feet! I might just plunge/soak everything in boiling water while i'm away.

Well we had tea - and I might just need to strangle the OH.
He's such a fussy, set in his ways, old fart!
As I said at the weekend, my Asda delivery was very bizarre! Strange substitute items, and a bag of stuff that I don't think belonged to me.
Tonights tea was peppered steak (substitute for lean steak mince ), so I did it with salad and mini jacket spuds (part of the stuff that wasn't mine!) and he picked at it and shifted it around the plate!
This is after last nights cajun chicken pieces (substitute for chicken breasts!), and the night befores spicy beef skewers (someone elses shopping!).
I think he'd be happy with a Shirley Valentine type life. Monday: Egg and chips. Tuesday: Pie and chips. Wednesday: Sausage and chips! and so on!
I've never known such a fussy adult! The children eat better than him!

  • Serious now:

I am terrified that my milk is slowing down...for the last few nights I have only been able to express 4oz, rather than the 6oz I was getting, no change in circs.

    What can I do?

I worry that I don't have enough to wean and supply for future absences, actual feeding Benjamin seems ok at the mo :o

3 - At least you got a free bag of food :p Sounds like my dad, he eats no veg or fruit, nothing tomatoey - so not even pasta. He won't even eat egg either, my mums freezers are full of pies! Growing up whenever we went shopping he'd throw about 10 pies in the trolley, only mince or steak though! I am not a big fan of pies now just because we ate them so often as a kid, same with chips!
No wonder I was a porker, everything deep fried too. I actually didn't know what a pepper was until I met OH.....I'm not sure that should even have a lol, oh why not LOL

IF we go away, I will just boil/soak stuff in boiling water - if he ain't picking it up from all the crap he manages to put in his mouth (and I mean today he got hold of a roller blind whilst I was talking!!!) then I can't see it hurting him!!! :rotfl:

Edit - I would tolerate your hubby for about a week before I went mad!!!

MFD, is Benjamin going longer between feeds? (so it's a bit like not expressing so often?) Can you express another time during the day? Obviously I have no idea how it all fits in with regular BF so if I'm talking newbie nonsense, ignore me! ;):o

Also eat oats and take Fennugreek (herbal tablet from H&B) :)

ETA: But you know that yourself already.. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=23872745&postcount=2869 ;) xxx

Is he maybe not taking more out of your boobies MFD? I never breastfed so don't know......but if there is no change and he is happy, maybe he's gulping back those missing 2oz?

Oh and I found out what that netting out the cats bum was! He'd been chewing the stiff netting off Keira's fairy dress as I just caught him at it again! So not only is he a pest, he's also a vandal. I'm deducting 5 biscuits a day until he pays for that netting, teehee.
