Mazcabs and I agreed with youMy_Fathers_Daughter wrote:I was talking to a lady on Sunday who thought (but clearly found out differently) that she could look after her daughter whilst 'working' at home and was outraged that her boss had 'had a quiet word' - the bl00dy cheek of it - I would sack her in a second if it were me...how the f00k can you be working if you have a baby at home!!!!!
And having written a tender with a well behaved baby I know!!!
Exactly! Just like Weezl described..
One of my colleagues works from home and, before he went to school, put her son in nursery for that half day. Another colleague questionned her on "why bother" sending him and not keep him at home instead and caused outrage - they found out second colleague's daughter had been home when she'd been "working" from home.. They've been on a mission to catch her out on it again ever since! :rolleyes:0 -
Hugs to Becles and Jakesmummy! Thinking of you all! :sad:I already look at the sleepsuits he first wore and can't believe how tiny they are!
He's 48cm now.
I've kept all three's coming home outfits - and I can't believe that my big 5ft, 9st, sweaty 12 year old was once that tiny! :eek:Funny Charlotte story: Craig said she went and got into bed with him this afternoon (he does an early shift and has an afternoon nap). All of a sudden she dived over his back and had a look down the back of his shorts and said "no poo's in Daddy's pants. Clever Daddy" :rotfl:
I want a Charlotte - she's so funny! :rotfl:hopefully she will be able to come up with something! it all sounds ridiculous but its got to the stage we cant take him anywhere? he will just eat everything?
Caz - I hope the HV is some use! A bit late now - but maybe if you'd kept a diary/note of what he's been up to, to jog your memory! Make sure you tell her everything. I know when I see anyone official, my mind goes blank and I forget half of what I wanted to say!
I know when we have our annual visit from DS's social worker, he comes in and says how are you, I say 'we're fine thanks', forgetting all of the hellish moments from the past year. Then the social worker leaves, after being no help at all, and I kick myself in the shin!:beer:0 -

I know you did hun - I clocked it
Although I missed Weezla post
I will try and work from home when I can - so I can be close to childcare and pick/drop Benjamin up/off just after/before work hours - it will make a BIG difference when you commute like I do (40 mins each way = an extra hour with my baby)
But the thought of pretending to be working at home when Benjamin is here too is laughable - I have tried it - Benjamin is a good baby who will sit for 45 mins in his bouncer on his own (I have done it!!) but that is a good baby on a good day! Do I think he would behave on a 'Friday' because it is 'Mommy's working at home day' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Do I B*******

Why is it when DH snores I want to throttle him? So have to wake him to shut up, yet when LO snores (as he is doing at the moment in the crib) I find it adorable and it makes me smile? Just hope he doesn't end up taking after his dad on this one!Mummy to D born 21/04/09 and S born 09/05/120

I used to do this with the MW - she asked howI was and I said 'fine thanks' and then she thought everything was okay  for weeks I kept waiting for her to ask me how my pregnancy was goingKrystaltips wrote: »They had some tandems in the Argos Bargain Clearance shop on Saturday... My mum just asked me if I was okay and I said "Yes, considering I've been on the go since 6am".. She thought I'd been getting afternoon naps in - I've had one in the five weeks Rhys has been home!!
Does anyone else ever fit in a nap during the day?I don't know where the day goes but I've certainly never got time for a nap!
Also, dunno how she thought I managed it today especially as she was with me all afternoon! :rolleyes:0 -
