You need a bigger shoe cupboard. Stop this madness at once!Krystaltips wrote: »Weezl, has anyone told you you're lovely today?

*hugs* Caz - check with the council and the CAB today and put the bird right out of your head. He was probably more frightened than you, if it makes any difference.
I'm freaked out by birds - they're evolutionarily close to dinosaurs and that really bothers me. Crocodiles and giant turtles, too. A pigeon once landed briefly on my head and I spent about three hours washing the pigeon-germs off myself.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I like it, theres a lot of bits to clean n sterilise but they aren't time comsuming.
it has a gentle starting setting to get you going then 3 'speeds' I haven't used the 3rd level - I think I'd only need it if engorged when I squirt like a super soaker
It could be too late but did you ask for lansinoh on 'script? It is on the NHS list but some GPs aren't aware/won't give it coz it's almost £10 but mine did, they just needed help spelling itto find it on the listy thing (oh but maybe you know this rom your job
I forgot!)

Sorry glam, I should of given you some resources too... On the iPod now so I can't do links, but check out kellymom.com... It's American but has lots of brilliant information... Also check out jack newmans breast compressions, another way to increase output when pumping and feeding...
Do you plan to exclusively bottle feed or are you hoping to get him breastfeeding eventually?A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Glam - because I didn't start pumping till Day Three, I had a supply of 300ml. I managed to build it to 1200ml in a short space of time. I pumped at least 9 times a day, each time pumping each side for 20 minutes. I aimed to pump 11 times a day every third day. I made sure to pump during the night, and first thing in the morning. Always pump for a couple of minutes after the milk stops flowing. I can usually get a second let down. If the milk stops, go back to rapid pumping, and you might get another letdown.
I'd say it is worth trying fenugreek and oats. You can also get something prescribed by your GP, maybe that would be an idea? Breast compression and massage are good too, and manually expressing a little after pumping. If you have a single pump, sit their and twiddle your other nipple - it really boosted my supply! I always sit on the edge of the sofa and lean forward, gravity helps.
I found I had to plan my day. Think of how many pumpings you eed to fit in. If you are going out in the afternoon, pump more in the morning. Try not to go more than 3 hours during the day, or 4-5 hours at night.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
thanks for that - very reassuring. was worried i'd cocked up by not expressing enough.
I'll get the electric pump, we just had a good hour of skin to skin but I must remember to tweak!!
elle - feelie - anything to add??? how often to express etc?
should i try the frengruuk stuff?
RLT also stimulates milklook on the kellymom website for galactogues (sp?)

I needed to give lots of sickness info for a job once, and I ended up saying "this is the last year, but for previous years I have no confirmed written records and I am estimating x and y days". That turned out ok. if it's hard getting the old one you could ask the new people if that would be ok for them?
Yaaay for lactulose?Fingers crossed for the internal workings of Fergie!
OH was burrowed under the duvets when I left this morning, I just slid Elijah in and ranI think she's ok, last night getting E down was another bit of a sleep battle but I did it and let her take a break. Eventually let him cry himself to sleep
which I really hate but it only took 10 mins at least.
We basically made a rod for our backs with the way we managed him and sleep for most of his first year (pretty much feeding him to sleep then putting him down), but it was because of his reflux and pain and I don't regret it! We're just paying for it now! :rolleyes:I'm freaked out by birds - they're evolutionarily close to dinosaurs and that really bothers me. Crocodiles and giant turtles, too. Hmm... Further to my previous speculation about my csa paymens... I've had an odd and random payment today... It's just over 1.5x normal amount, which makes me just under 1.5x payments behind by my reconning... I think a phone call might be in order...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls...
