Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    edited 20 August 2009 at 10:42AM
    Morning all,

Feeling a bit brighter today. LO slept from 10:30 till 5 - he woke around 3, but i put his dummy back in and he went off again. He went off again after his 5am feed until 8:45 :T

We've changed his milk (and the teats, as suggested to carla) which is stopping the projectile vomiting - he's now on apitamil easy digest. Now he is burping when winded without covering mum, floor, sofa etc in a sea of white :)

Beccles hope you begin to feel better soon. Big get well wishes for your nan and hugs to jakesmummy. :grouphug:
Tine- you sound loads more positive knowing your mum is coming. Mums are great! :j
Elle - LO was 48 cm when his born - sounds like Rhys is doing a fab job catching up :)
Naps - never been able to drop off during the day - I'm much more likely to have an early night.
And working from home - as much as I would love too, I can't even keep up with this thread nevermind getting actual work done. I would end up doing it all in the evening, but when would Ispend time with hubby

Had some bad news here this evening. Craig's Gran still has cancer left in her breast. She has to go back in and have the whole breast off and her lymph glands out, then a bone scan to make sure it hasn't spread further. She seems a bit down, so I've ordered a basket of flowers to be delivered tomorrow to cheer her up.

sorry to hear that too x
Well I bottled talking to the baby bop lady :o

    I did, however, sing:

If you're happy and you know it say hello
(when they were singing naughty and sorry )

I do intend to speak to her....but it is the most echo-ey room ever and I didn't want the rest of the group to hear me objecting....nobody else seems to care  although I havent asked :o

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:OMG - I really object to that too. How very very odd:confused:

  • Morning all. DH was hogging the laptop last night (it belongs to him, so I souldn't compain really ;) ), and I can't keep up with you all, so here is some general ((hugs)) ~sympathy~ ~~good luck vibes~~ and :mad::mad:. Please help yourself to whatever is appropriate!

We normally meet up with mummy friends today, but no-one has texted me back to say they are coming, and I have so much other stuff to get on at home that I think we will stay here instead. Will go off to the supermarket this afternoon instead. Not as exciting, but at least we will be able to eat tea tonight ;)

We are meant to be going to see my cousin tomorrow too, but he's not told me what time, or where he lives (I don't have his new address since he moved) so maybe we are not doing that either . Never mind!

It's not much fun here at the mo - DH is in a big sulk about "everything" at the moment. He has a bad back, I know he is cross because work are sending him away next week and he doesn't want to go, and we are trying to sort the house out and keep the allotment in check, so very busy which isn't helping. I'm treading on egg shells the whole time, whatever I say he snaps at me. If I try to start a conversation I may as well be speaking to myself, and if I ask him a question I get answers in monosylables. No idea if I've done something wrong too or not (well... i probably have done tons of things, but I don't know if it is actually wrong, or just wrong because he is in a bad mood is anyone's guess  ). Lots of patience required till he snaps out of it. I don't blame him for being stressed, but he doens't have to take it out on me .

During the day is good though - Izzy is getting more mobile every day. She can sit up from lying down now easily, and getting better at the almost crawling (she will be properly crawling before long!) so everything is having to moove up a shelf, as she can now roll/crawl to what she wants, then sit up and reach it.

Does anyone else ever fit in a nap during the day? I don't know where the day goes but I've certainly never got time for a nap!

Yeah I hope so, she's only 3, so I doubt permanent damage by it is likely, and you know braces are marvellous things, and very cute! Well I think so.....

    Have a good night MotM

Well, I don't like braces  I've never had them and neither have the girls and i'd rather avoid them. If they are necessary however, then so be it.

I hope all are well today and have a good day. The weather looks a bit duller, but still a bit warm, so not sure what we shall do  Play it by ear I suppose.

Sorry your not having much fun ladybird, hope things pick up soon! Maybe you and Izzy can do something else fun tomorrow, have you tried swimming? Cant remember if you have mentioned that before. :)

Well done Izzy on the mobility status! :j You now need eyes in the back of head, bum, feet and lots of other places in order to keep your sanity :D

  • Yes, Izzy loves swimming, so yes, we might do that if we don't go anywhere else tomorrow. If not I will see if we can set up a swimming date next week with someone, as we've not been in a while.
