I'm going here in Nov :)

ETA: Can you imagine the collective crying/whimpering chorus of MSE P/P thread babies as they wake at 4am?! Good job it's in the middle of a forest!
  • Our church does what's called 'believer baptism' so we dedicate our children into a Christian way of life and when they reach an age where they can choose for themselves they can be baptised...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Can't believe how skinny my arms and legs are now - it's amazing how much pregnancy fills u out. I'm on a mission to put some weight back on!
I never realised my legs were swollen when I was pregnant - it was only afterwards when they looked really thin that I realised.
This might sound really stupid, so forgive me, but here the Catholic church wants all babies christened before they are 6 weeks old. Now I am not sure if that is a national thing, or just my MILs chapel, but was just wondering
I think in general it is considered a good idea to be baptised as soon as possible because Catholics believe that Baptism is necessary for salvation.

Youre confusing me, I take it it is someone on here ?? Is it elle ??
    ;)
I think what you have done re christening is ok, they're going to learn about it with your mum and you haven't just gone oh x school is the best so I'll christen them so they get in. I also understand its probably more difficult in NI (part of me wishes there wasn't such a thing as religion because it causes so much trouble in the world, but if it wasn't that 'we' would find something else to fight about)

I know in the olden days!, babys were supposed to be christened early........I think I was christened at the christmas service, having been born early December.

Also, in the very olden days, when infant mortality was soooo much higher, you had to be christened early, in case you died unchristened and ended up in limbo for eternity?
I know it shouldn't but it made me smile with the limbo comment :o
That could be it 3. Our Catholic schols will take all kids christened into the chapel first before any other admissions, so anyone who wants in has to have been 'done':)
We sound like we're talking about getting some cats spade! :rotfl:
