When is your OH home?
We're gonna go away in october tho, poss nov as a friend is going to one place I like in nov - she has a little boy similar age to Ed. you'd really like her0 -
I know exactly why you dont agree with the christening, BUT can I ask,
me and OH do not go to church / chapel respectively as we both chose that it wasnt for us, but I really think I was able to make that decision as I went to sunday school and was able to decide with the knowledge that I was informed. So Jasmine was Christened and goes to sunday school with my mum, Dylan will do the same, and they will also go to chapel with Chris' mum every now and again too, so they will be able to make the decion for themselvesThe two best things I have done with my life

best be quick, if you don't already frequent the church they prob won't Christen him plus lots of churches only do Christenings once a month.
Although I don't agree with what you are doing
I am actually catholic and have always intended to get them christened together, its just that I have to pull my finger out and do it asap, the only reason its took me so long is that im rubbish at organising stuff and moneys been really tight, I always went to a catholic school n even though I dont go to church every week I still have some degree of 'belief', but the way I see it is you can pray anywhere you dont necesserily have to be in a man made building to do it!0 -

I think I made it sound in my first post Im only getting him christened to get him in the school, its not the case, I've been meaning to do it for ages regardless of which school he goes to! He's starting nursery at the non catholic school in a few weeks and Im going to see how he goes on there and put them as my next choice on the school admission form. If he really likes it there I may end up sending him there anyway! x0

This might sound really stupid, so forgive me, but here the Catholic church wants all babies christened before they are 6 weeks old. Now I am not sure if that is a national thing, or just my MILs chapel, but was just wonderingThe two best things I have done with my life

never heard of the having to be earlier than 6weeks old tbh, i know most people do it when they'r tiny but i've been to a few where there's older children, I think I was about 2-3 when I was christened as well, x0 -
