hi all,
feely - brilliant post earlier. thanks for taking the time to do it.
weezl - hugs for you!!!!!!
elle - as you know, i love hearing all about rhys. so pleased he is loving his bouncer.
sami - hope you are feeling better
caz - yay for erin. my little girl arks up if i lay her down to try and get her to roll over or get her in the crawling position. she just wants to stand all the time.
becles - yay charlotte. not suprised though as she is an beautiful girl. look forward to hearing what the PR meeting is all about etc.
bruno - glad that you were able to talk to your OH about how she reacted about your mum. as my mum is thousands of miles away, my poor MIL gets loads of silly questions from me, but i have no problem leaving my little girl with her as i know she is welll looked after.
hugs to all of you that need them.
oh, soooooo frustrated by one of the HVs at our baby clinic. normally she is really good with me (about weaning etc), but i mentioned i was still having problems with LO sleeping through the night and she gave me a copy of a sleeping program. she said you need a few days to crack it, and i expalined that hubby works nights, so i dont get two nights (as he works 6 nights oout of 7)in a row where i can put her in her crib in our room (as hubby is asleep before he gets up for work)...
her response .... well i dont know what you can do then!!!!!!!
when i got home and read the sleeping program it said ... this program is not to get your baby to sleep through the night as that is impossible (of course in terms of if a baby wants to wake it will).
i know the HVs feel i should be nursing her to sleep or letting her fall asleep on the bottle.
i had to keep saying to myself ... r.mac is nursing her LO to sleep and she is sleeping through the night so it can be done.
i had bought LO a comfort type blanket thing but haven't really given it to her, so tonight i gave it to her while i was feeding her (knowing she would fall alseep ..ooooo) so she was cuddling it when she went to sleep so i put it in the crib with her. hopefully getting her to associate that blanket with sleep (okay i might be grabbbing at straws her but i am trying anything to get her to sleep through)
sorry for the big post.0 -
