How many times have you got your name down for? ;)

    Enjoying the new car? :D

1 x Leader of Session and 1 x Session Helper - It only runs on 3 Sundays because on baptism Sunday they go up to the Church Hall and have a joint session with the Junior Church.

The new car is fab - I was thinking it would be heavy to steer even with power steering but it's even lighter than my old car - my only issue is that indicators and wipers are on opposite sides to my old car so my windscreen is getting wiped alot! I really have to think when it comes to signalling.

DD loves it as she has a choice of cup holders and a table!

    MDW

Elle - I never bothered with baby signing DD taught herself watching Something Special on CBeebies.
Proud to be dealing with my debts
    DD Katie born April 2007!
3 years 9 months and proud of it

    :hello:

I'm going to try the same - I've ordered this - in the hope that we can create a "wind down" signal for Rhys. Staying up all evening (although that said, he's asleep now) and then sleeping all morning is all well and good but not when we want to start going to classes and things (really want to do baby signing - which is 6mths onwards, isn't it?) which happen in the mornings, so I thought we'd give it a bash.. In the last few days, he's started snuggling with a muslin and playing with it in his hands whilst falling asleep so we could be on to something..

i have one that i bought last year from the airport when i went home. yours loooks lovely too. my mum has also sent one which is a baby lamb that says the sleep prayer (forgive me i am not sure of the correct name). i haven't given it to her because i do not want it ruined (am i am bad mummy???)

my thinking with using the comfort blanket is that if she wakes during the night and still has it, then it is something that was with her when she was going to sleep therefore familiar to her (as she would have been moved from my arms to her crib).

i am having more success now with her having a bath/bottle and then sleep (albeit in my arms) but it has taken us nearly 6 months to get there.

in my opinon (not that it's worth a lot :D) i think you are doing the right thing but trying it now. i wonder if i had of started putting LO down at night when she was first home (instead of constantly cuddling her) whether i would still have the problems with her sleep.???

Ooh, forgot to say - going to my first boobie group tomorrow and quite looking forward to it! When Caitlyn was crying earlier DH said 'how long do you have to breastfeed her for?' so I said 'as long as I want' to which he replied 'I think you ought to get her off it'. I just glared at him and said 'Do you?!' He is just looking for something to blame her seemingy needless crying on, and I think that BFing is the only thing he can come up with

My childminder texted me earlier to tell me the lady who will be using my place won't be using it until October so she'll be sending me an invoice at the end of September. That's me phoning the tax credits people in the morning!

So all the extended family, including MIL, BIL, my Mum etc, will all turn up, sit in church and think they have come for the christening, but we will just pop into the service a wedding!!! :rotfl:

Awww - that's lovely! I wish I could be a fly on the wall to see their faces :D

Can I moan about my belly too?

Mine is hideous. Due to the polyhydramnious (way too much amniotic fluid), I was absolutely huge. They measured me with a tape measure two days before she was born and my height of fundus was 44cm when should have been around 36cm  I've lost some weight since she was born, but the skin is so stretched it hasn't gone back and just hangs there like a burst balloon. I used to wear bikini knickers, but it overhangs them and the elastic rubs in the fold, so now I have to wear big knickers and tuck it in :o
Well done to Charlotte, that's fab! Do you get a prize too :D

We're getting a goody bag but no idea what is in it!
Oh and I cooked that lamb shoulder, and YUK, I don't like lamb! It's greasy and tastes nasty, mint sauce is equally bogging!

It's not supposed to be greasy. My Mam cooks it and it's greasy and yuk, but when hubby cooks it, it's not greasy and tastes gorgeous. I've never cooked a lamb joint it as he does such a good job and I'd be disappointed if mine didn't come out as well.

Lamb steaks cut up make lovely casseroles and tagine in the slow cooker, and lamb mince for shepherds pie and burgers. Lamb and mint burgers served in pitta bread with tzatziki and rocket are gorgeous.

Of course your opinion is worth a lot! :p *hugs* We can but try.. if it doesn't work, the blankie is cute (and half price!) anyway ;) We really need some kind of "bath, bottle, bed" routine going too but he's fed on demand now due to him only being able to take on a small amount at a time. That said, he's finishing it more and more without trouble so I think it might be time to introduce some kind of order with that too.. Oh, so many things to try - if something works, I won't know what it was! :o

Oh, speaking of which, the strangled "Feed me now!" screaming has just started.. back in a bit! :o
