On the topic of hospitals, my bag was packed during my contractions whilst OH faffed about sorting himself out. It was about half packed already. I left my maternity pads in the car so MW who monitored me gave me a pack to take down to the ward while I waited for things to get going.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Is it that N.Ire is still a lot more religious than over here now?
I know in the olden days!, babys were supposed to be christened early........I think I was christened at the christmas service, having been born early December.
Also, in the very olden days, when infant mortality was soooo much higher, you had to be christened early, in case you died unchristened and ended up in limbo for eternity?
My nan is forever nagging me about my three getting 'done' - but they won't be. If they decide in adulthood to follow a faith then that will be their choice.
Even my Mum who hasn't been to church since my sister christening in 1988 says I should get them done for better schooling! But,i'm quite happy with our school and its outstanding ofsted reports!
(Who can tell I attended catholic schools run by evil nuns! :rotfl:):beer:0 -
OH and I were both Christened but Rhys won't be (not unless he chooses to when he's older, obviously)0

That could be it 3. Our Catholic schols will take all kids christened into the chapel first before any other admissions, so anyone who wants in has to have been 'done':)The two best things I have done with my life

I think our local catholic school does that too........ takes the christened first, then if there's any space left, the 'undone' can have them.
If the local non catholic school couldn't have taken DD1 (very popular school), i'd have tried the catholic school, before the not so poplular non-catholic school up the road. But I was worried that if she went to catholic school, she'd have been 'left out' when they did the confession, communion, confirmation bits.:beer:0
