No bad mummies here MM - don't beat yourself up.

I'm not asking for medical advice, and we're taking the monster to the doctor in the morning, but we just found some blood in her nappy. Has that happened to anyone else's little one? She doesn't seem constipated... ?

(I might have to rush off because there are ominous rumblings from the crib so thank you in advance and I'll update in the morning).

Ladies... no medical advice... PLEASE!!!! :)

I really don't want to have to put my BG hat on properly (besides not sure I can find it - livingroom is a bit topsyturvy with washing folded on every available surface...)

So - NO medical advice - ok? :)

SS - call docs - i actually started typing this before you posted and was referring to the CS conversation - but if in doubt - call NHS direct or if abroad - call the local doc :)

Hi WorkingMummy!!! Well done and nice to see you here!

Bruno, one of the only symptoms of PND (a year after the birth) was a sudden and unreasonable hatred of my MIL or anyone who went near my baby or my husband. Everyone was against me and trying to interfere. I had to be the perfect mother at all times and that meant that I could never let him out my sight. I pushed everyone away because it was easier to pretend that I was fine and didn't need anyone than admit I needed help.

Awwww MM, hugs for you and a swift kick for your OH ;)

Tigs, the emergency one with DS2 took 2 weeks for the scar to heal and about 12 weeks for the bruising to go (was bruised hip to hip but I had an abruption so blood seaped into the tissue everywhere). This one (elective) 2 weeks and I was driving. I'm a bit sore today but then I have been picking up DS2 (he has been clumsy and falling a lot).

MIL called right when I was changing Amber into her sleepsuit and she was wanting her bobo, DH was talking to her and she said 'now I know why the boys say all she does is cry!'. Actually she doesn't cry that often, she was getting changed and wanted fed so yes she was crying. Considereing she has only seen her twice how the hell would she know if she cried all the time or not? The boys just like pretending to cry like a baby so say they say she cries so they can go waa waa waa. Oh and she called to moan that we didn't bring the boys down on Friday  Uhm... we asked if she wanted them Sat night and she said 'oh I'll have to see' and never got back to us, but she swears we asked about Fri and she said yes. Cue her putting a guilt trip on DH. But why would she only phone now?

Hmmm, DH is snoring on the sofa, guess I will have to do the dishes on my own then? git.:mad::mad:

Don't get me wrong - I recognise all the cries, it's just the "I don't wanna do what you want me to do" one that grates.. like the one I'm getting now cos he doesn't want to go to bed. He's bawling in my ear as I type - I'm holding him tightly so I know he's safe, he's dry and fed plenty, he's just playing stubborn but I'm not going to play with him so he can just stay here with me. Does that make me sound harsh? It grates but doesn't mak me want to scream if that makes sense - I've suddenly discovered tolerance from somewhere!

Hmmm I don't get the "I don't wanna go to sleep" cry... don't know how we've managed to avoid that! She'll get cranky when she's tired and then she gets put in her cot (or earlier it was into her basket) whilst still awake. Dummy and Raffi are applied and re-applied if required. Usually she's out cold in about 5 minutes :) But we've tried from day one to not let her fall asleep in us all the time because we knew we'd struggle changing that habit if she thought that was how things ought to be... IYKWIM :)

MrsT, I'm not asking for medical advice because nobody can look in her nappy and make suggestions (although from tonight's I wonder if someone could maybe tell the future from the interesting coloured swirls and markings... like reading tea leaves only grubbier). I was just wondering if anyone had had a similar experience.

Our paediatrician's office is downstairs so she'll be down there as soon as 9am hits tomorrow morning. She's not in any discomfort and is happily snuffling away in her crib so it's not urgent. Just me being a first-timer and wondering if I'm being anxious over something completely normal :)

OMG when I said I was going for a little snuggle with dh, when Kai had fallen asleep.... Well I did, only next time I looked at the clock and it was 10.35:o We had fallen fast asleep:o
I rushed downstairs panicking, but all was well...the older two had 'looked after' Kai. They said he had been whining a bit but they gave him his dum-dum and his tigger and turned his swing up to a faster setting:rotfl: They were on the PS3 but said they had chosen a baby friendly game to play...not a shooting one, because it wouldn't be nice for Kai to watch:D

Rhys doesn't do tired.. He goes from bouncing around to zonked in seconds - just not when we want him to all the time ;) He's a night owl, just like me and OH - and if we're not asleep, why should he be? Think he's afraid of missing something.. and to be fair we're kind of afraid of missing something about him too so we don't mind him staying up late either :o (we just know he "ought" to be in bed hence trying him)

Oh and today Keira actually ate a banana and some raisins. Unheard of in the past year or more!

I don't even have the reward chart up yet either as Amazon had crap stickers! I want star ones.......

She still isn't keen on main meals, or things in sauce but I'm sure we will get there. This nursery seems to be great for her, she's only been 4 times, but already is trying new foods, we cracked the pooping in the toilet, she can nap holding her wee in, just night time wee'ing now!

Oh yes and when she doesn't want to listen to you she shouts "IM NOT LISTENING MUMMY PIG!" and her new word is "NOTHING" when you ask her what she is doing, when you get that reply, you know fine she is, and ARGH for all the pen marks on her clothes that won't come out. Grrrr.

Uhm... if you think you feel like a "new mum" now, wait till your on your third and you still don't have a clue....

I've forgotten it all and just bluff my way through :D

ooohh Button, that 'nothing' word is trouble! Almost as bad as that 'no' word!

I'm off to wake DH up by jumping on him (not jumping him, literally jumping on him)
  • El only has showers now and she is so funny she gets the sponge to wsh herself and she puts her foot up on the edge of the bath and washes her leg then swaps over and does the other. you really don't realise what and how quickly they pick things up from you. I ws laughing at her when she ws doing it but she ws just totally mimicking me, I've got a mini me in the making!!
