A pair of smelly socks that would soon zonk her out lol No seriously tho a top/tshirt would do the job. or you could carry a muslin round during the day, not physically but if you were in the house maybe have it over your shoulder then pop that in with her at least it's not as bulky as a top.Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
I have scraped Leila's hand against the door frame when going into her bedroom on umpteem occasions. She doesnt even notice but I keep apologising. I also sometimes forget how thin the nappy changing mat is and its on a wooden chest of drawers, so occasionally I put her down and her little head goes down a bit too hard. She hasnt cried yet but I feel really bad every time.
When I was looking after my little bro when he was a tiny baby (could only have been about 6 weeks old), I put him in a hammock designed for cuddly toys which was hung from the curtain rails on my four poster bed. Of course, the hammock strings snapped and my little brother fell from a great height onto the bed then bounced and landed on the floor. My parents who were three floors below heard the bang (and his crying) and I told them that the cuddly toys had fallen on him. Thank goodness he was okay.
I also took him on a slide which was like a spiral tube in a childrens playground. It was before he could sit himself so he sat on my lap. As he was raised on my knee his little head hit the top of the slide (complete with sticky out grooves) all the way down the slide. I didnt notice till we got off and he already had a big bruise on his forehead.
My mother also 'helped' him up off the floor by holding his hand when he was little and managed to dislocate his elbow. The worst thing was that he didnt want to go to nursery that day so we ignored him when he said his arm hurt thinking he was just trying it on. We only realised a few hours later that he was telling the truth because I threw a ball at him and he didnt raise his arm to catch it. We took him to the hospital then where he told the doctor 'mummy did it'. She was horrified.Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -
