    Morning all
    MFD we'll miss ya!

Had a bit of a chat with OH last night, got her a bit calmed down and admitting she was over-reacting, suggested some different ways to view my mum's attitude, etc. She agreed she might be up for trying fixed periods of time where my mum takes Elijah out for say, 90 mins or whatever, to see how much it bothers her. Seemed generally like progress, I was quite forceful about how skewed her view of things was. Thanks all for advice and good wishes.

Tia, interesting that you found similar behaviour was your main symptom of PND... thanks! Hmm.

Off to work, have a nice day everyone!

    Morning all,

Well done Bruno for being able to talk to OH (without shouting so loud you woke the baby, I take it ;)). Hopefully you'll get somewhere.. Just make sure your mum knows to stick to 90mins, not a moment less, not a moment more otherwise I foresee more probs, iyswim :)

I feel quite human this morning - think I slept from 0245 to 0645. Was woken up by OH shouting (from another room) to me to know where his work trousers were - a few days last week, I was nice enough to get his clothes out for him the night before so he could have a few more minutes in bed - honestly, it's like "back to school" here! OH claims Rhys was awake from 0330 to 0430 and that he'd come to bed at 0200 - he hadn't cos I was feeding Rhys and emailing (so with time stamps) at 0200-0230 so I'm not sure I believe him about how long he was up with Rhys for! :p

I've sorted Rhys' bottle - might actually get his meds on time today! - and even had time for a cuppa myself and I can just hear Rhys starting to stir now. Dad's due at 1030 so I've even got time for another hour's kip too :D

Hope everyone has a good day and the bigger littlies get off to school okay :) xxx

Pleased you seem to be making progress with OH Bruno. Hope it works out well for both of them :)

James is back to school today. Durham County Council is running a pilot scheme where all primary school pupils get a free healthy school dinner for two years, so he's looking forward to his dinner!

Just got the one quick job to do this morning and Charlotte is coming with me on it. Then we're going to finish tidying up. I cleared all the clutter out of the cupboard under the stairs, so we're going to put her toys in there so the sitting room will look more like a sitting room than a nursery :D
Here I go again on my own....

Aww Mfd came to say goodbye... She does love us :D

Bruno, really glad you had the talk and I hope things start to improve for you now.

Well it's first day back to school and Aimee's getting right on my wick... She's been going on for months about growing her hair... I keep it short in a bob because she's always been a terror for taking bobbles out and hair bands off, and seeing as that school is rife with lice it's PITA enough combing through short hair all the time, if she's not going to keep her hair tied up then it's going to be worse combing through long hair... So as soon as she said she wanted to grow it out, I told her she'd have to wear bobbles, she agreed fine... I went out and bought her some new ones especially... And now we have hysterics... She wouldn't keep her head still so I could get them in so I had to re-do them about 5 times and now they're hurting her head, and she wants short hair again... I despair! She's going in the bath tonight and it's coming off!

On the plus side... Caitlyn slept from 10 till 4:30 with no midnight dream feed... I would feel refreshed but I'd been awake since 3 waiting for her to wake up...

Anyway... Baby's awake... I need to get dressed... Sleepy sheep pyjamas is not the look for the school gates this season...

Nevermind Krystal, at least you'll get peace until 3:15 or whatever time she comes out at!

My little sisters school is away to change the times, she's in P2, so still "infants" or whatever, so they currently go in at 9am - 2:50, but they are away to change it so they get extra 'schooling' so it will be 9am - 3.30 or something, also shortening their lunch by 15minutes. What kind of 5year old has that sort of attention span, before getting tired at any rate!!

    I think it's mean!

Keira is also a pain for putting hair bobbles in, she currently needs a hair cut as her fringe is going in her eyes and it's just a wavy fro, reminds me I'll need to bung her in the bath before nursery, she managed to get weetabix in her hair before bed last night, of course she was insisting I gave her a bath there and then, just so she didn't have to go to bed, don't think so!

Waiting for those workmen to turn up, between 8-9, they said. I'm wearing my pjs, so sod them, not getting dressed yet, it's unhealthy :p

Feel really tired aswell, couldn't sleep at all last night, kept waking up every 5minutes, nightmare! I'm also still gushing off blood and have no tampons - GREAT. I'm using twisted up loo roll, god I sound skanky!!

I will buy some when I go out with Keira to nursery, honest!!

Wooohoooo getting rid of futon today - whoop whoop!
Booooo Alex woke up at 4:30 for a feed and cuddle - I had a stonking headache - but she did go back to bed at 5 and went off to sleep in a matter of minutes... small mercies... :)

The workmen are here, I don't have biscuits to go with their tea (erm they accidentally fell down my mouth one night.....) am I supposed to offer them grub? I'm suprised Keira is still asleep, she's in my bed (that's becoming a major problem too!) and my bedroom door is right outside the room they are in.

Those cats keep trying to have a nosey aswell, the older one wants to sniff them, I know she does, everytime someone comes in, she goes straight over to sniff them them, the kitten who I thought was quite forwards, bolted when the guy dropped a screw. Lollerloser!

They aren't happy about being in the living room when there is stuff going outside.

Ah that's not so bad MrsTine, does she normally sleep straight through?

  • Keira would be like - Yes my mummy jammed my finger and I got blood "Did she do it on purpose?" "errrrm yes?" "Is your mummy mean?" "Yes she's a big fat cheesy pie mummy pig" Thats how I imagine a convo would go, lmao.

This made me laugh :) - Oh, and i'd just offer the builders a cuppa and leave them to it if it was me!

We're off for our first "settling in" session this morning. I'm trying to get Izzy to nap before we go, but she's not having any of it!

Buttons - she seems to have a week on week off from sleeping through and then next week she'll be waking up at 3 or 4 am again - I shouldn't moan really as at least she sleeps most of the night even when she doesn't sleep through!

We tried her with normal formula to see if it would help her sleeping through... but within no time she was screaming her lungs out - obviously for some reason the normal formula gives her some painful trapped wind... Just not sure the easy digest stuff keeps her satisfied through the night... hmmmm

Well that's Aimee dropped off with barely a backwards glance... Just having 5mins at home then we're off to booby group... Got to take the play gym back today, Caitlyn loves it though... Might see if anybody objects to me borrowing it for a bit longer as long as I take it back on a Monday morning...

Tine, I tried Aimee on formula from 4 to 7 months to see if it helped with her sleeping... It had absolutely no effect... I couldn't be bothered with making it up in the end so I stopped using it...

Oh and buttons, you really should get yourself a mooncup!
