OOps - I knew I forgot something - I haven't registered Connor yet at the surgery. Will look out for that box. (although it's too late now, she's already pestering me LOL)

He assures me he's quite normal in that all firemen are firemen because they actually love fire.. He doesn't get to put many fires out these days (which I suppose is really a good thing!) so likes to have the odd bonfire in the back garden.. Tis the little things that keep him going - clearly! ;):p

My ex's dad was a firefighter :) And he'd wholeheartedly agree! Firemen are the biggest pyromaniacs going 9 times out of 10 :D Mainly that's what makes them good at putting the fires out... they like fires and try to understand them so get good at fighting them  well... according to ex's dad anyway :)

No-one knew what the survelliance thing was at my surgery - they'd never been asked before? They said to tick it or not, they don't do anything with it anyway!

Ah that explains why a friend of ours told us about catching rats and putting them in the microwave... well actually it doesn't, he is just sick.

Does your DH play with the foam stuff? Apparently it's good to spray in the loo cubicle when your mate is in having a moment.
  • So that's worthwhile then. LOL

(About the child survellience forms, not the foam spraying toilet moment thing....)

Can't say I know of him doing anything involving foam and loos! But then there's a whole part of his life I don't know much about - the RAF days ;)

He loves fire so much he's doing the NeBOSH extension course for Fire Prevention and Investigation (something like that).. When I asked "To investigate a fire, surely you have to have had one?" and he just beemed at me.. _pale_

We work on a chemical site so when they have a fire, it's a big one.. :( Think he's just waiting for the next one to have something to study!

 I used to work on a massive chemical works (doing environmental monitoring and various other random analysis) and we all used to get sent on these health and safety days. One time we watched an hour long video about a fire which had happened on another chemical works and what went wrong with it and stuff. I think there was some problem with too much water and chemicals floating on the water and spreading and burning. Nasty stuff.

About the only thing I miss about my old job, on the way home I'd be stuck in traffic next to the firestation. In the summer they play volleyball mainly topless:D
