They're not all for him but they are things I'm feeling bogged down by - stuff I know needs doing but I don't know how to do it.. like finding a new garden gate (what do I know about gates?! he's the one worried about security..) and burning all the confidential post (could shred it, but he's a fireman so likes to "practise"), and then household stuff that either of us could do but I never seem to find the time to do it. The list is to focus me as well as him.. again, I live in hope! :o

weezl, I suppose one issue is the fact they don't have the safety labels on which might put some people off, but then won't affect those who are into homecrafts..

She's not on very often these days but track MrsMoc down - she's the queen of car boots, so it seems :D

You don't actually have to let her in - you can just not answer the door or else answer and tell her she isn't allowed in as you don't want the visit.

Susan - tempting. But wouldn't it then be one of those things where the HV would contact the GP and a whole bit of nonsense would get started? Would my refusal be used to justify her concerns?

How much would you aim to be selling them for Weezl? How is the sleeping/feeding?

    thanks elle and feely :)

I guess about £1. that wouldn't make anything for my sewing time, each cube took about 2 hrs, but people don't really pay much at car boots!

Shall I pm mrs Moc, I think she's probably got more pressing jobs with looking after her babies! Wouldn't want to intrude, but if you're out there Mrs Moc, I'd be grateful for any nudges! :)

ps thanks for asking feely:A, he slept a little better last night, we put him back in a sleeping bag not just a sleepsuit, and that may have helped a bit, I think the bag inhibits the leg thwacking!!! Sugarspun, is it your DH who does it too? Could be worth a try!;)

weezl, I think MrsMoc describes buying and selling as her fulltime job and has said she's "back at work" now - don't think she'd mind a PM :)

I've just realised.. Rhys still hasn't been to a supermarket! Is that odd, or did everyone else wait ages before taking their LO shopping? Or was it just a matter of necessity? How do those trolleys work? The ones you put your car seat in - is there a strap to hold the car seat in place? :o

Elle - I've used those trolleys that the car seat goes in - the ones I have used are really difficult to use - the seat is so high in the trolley that you can't see where you are pushing. The ones with the moulded seats that you place the baby in are much better, IMO. We just bring a blanket to put under the baby and kind of cushion around his head.

Don't know, considering the system is overstretched I wouldn't have thought it would be top on the list of priorities for lots of other people to start chasing you. Personally I'm not planning to register for "child health surveillance" (aka health visitor) next time so I'm interested to see if they'll still try to see me. I was annoyed the way that they snaekily did things like called the PND test a questionnaire instead of being honest about it and also there is something in my own medical records about the early visits even though they were supposedly for seeing Alice and I was never informed they were about me too. Personally I'd probably refuse but then I did almost go to court against the council because they were wrongly charging me about £20 council tax. (They were the ones who issued the court summons though - not me.)

Do they have adjustable straps to hold baby in? I have visions of skinny mini Rhys slipping out the end!
