God knows how I will feel, it's prob not gonna be too long before I am a step-granny!!!!
I just told her something similar, Nana Tara. :rotfl:
Elle, we love roasting butternut squash.
I always make a point of being obvious when eating out as my kids eat the oddest things for children, which I love! Erin wanted chicken, mash and veg this week, Ben just said Salad then turned to the lady and asked if she had mayo, beetroot and coleslaw.Got a thing about figs at the moment, blurgh!
Too many children, too little time!!!0 -
It was already on my FB!!!
Ooo - it's tiny
There is a link to the bigger pic here if you are really interested
Edit - that is lettuce in his hand, in his car seat, in a restaurant LOL!!!!
MIL kept saying 'he'll choke, he'll choke!!'
It's bl00dy lettuce!! How exactly will he choke???

Incidentially, OH and I were talking about weaning earlier.. Two questions:-
1. If you don't have a microwave (still debating whether to put ours back in the kitchen or not), do you take out the frozen purees, leave them on the side/in the fridge to defrost then serve at room temp, or can you warm them up on a pot of hot water (or is a microwave best)?
2. Are there any fruits or vegetables babies shouldn't have?
Thankyou0 -
Ladybird - Wincham Hall is going strong - very popular wedding venue.
Aldi Nappies - I use the pull up on DD for when she's asleep, swapped to them when she started potty training - they do a good job - she was a Huggies baby as well as other nappy brand didn't fit so well.
Sami - can I join the M5 race? My parent are on their way back from Cornwall, they decided to drive across to the M4 and rejoin the M5 at junction 15.
Religion - I was a brownie and a girl guide, was brought up to belive in something and with christian values. I married in church as both DH and I have lost close family and we felt the could attend IYSWIM. I stopped attending church when going through fertility treatment. I started going again once I got the miracle I'd been asking for. DD was christened at 10 weeks and comes with me every week. The church is really good they have a TV link into the creche so the parents don't miss out. I've also voluteered to help out with Scramblers (Activity club for 3-5 year olds).
Krystal - my dd loved being naked as a baby and still loves it now, makes it easier when she's eating messy staining food, its much easier to wash skin.
Food - DD is really good with veg etc, I have to have a stash of grapes, olives, blueberries, strawberries, bananas in the house. Olives are chosen before everything else. She doesn't like McD's food but loves the milkshakes.
A bowl of profiteroles with chocolate sauce fell into the trolley at Morrisons tonight - DD ended up covered head to toe in chocolate (fortunately I had stripped her before serving).
I got a free sample of Pringle Extreme in the post today, I got the flamin chilli sauce flavor, they are living up to their name, steam is coming out of my ears.
MDWProud to be dealing with my debts
DD Katie born April 2007!

dreams do come true (eventually!)0 -
Elle - I refuse to warm anything for Benjamin in the microwave - I can't heat anything for myself without ending up with a burnt mouth or spots that are still cold, there is no way I am going to risk it with my son.
I stick the little pots in hot water...boiling if necessary...and heat it that way.
You need to be really organised about weaning anyway so you do start to remember these things.
Also, I always have a pouch of something or a yoghurt or an interesting new fromage frais (;)) to keep him going.
HTH
Edit - you are supposed to be careful with strawberries...as I remembered as Benjamin was sucking on one the other day - oops!!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
2. Are there any fruits or vegetables babies shouldn't have?
Don't know if this is any help

I know young children shouldn't eat peels or rinds off of fruit as they cannot digest it as well.0 -
OMG :eek::eek::eek:
I dont come on here for a day and it has taken me 2 hours to read everything !!!!!!
Not gona reply to the things I had quoted as they have already been discussed, but preg thread peeps, you were all newbies on that thread at one point too, and were all welcomed with open arms, we are the same people that did that welcoming, so unless babies turn us all into snarling grumpy knackered slummy mummies, then we will still be as welcoming:D Oh hang on a minute  scrap that :rotfl:
We had our first hard day of crying today, non stop all day till about 9pm this evening when he gave up and went to sleep. I think he may have a touch of a wind problem, so he has had a bit of gripe water this evening, threw up a bit, gave a very loud burp and settled :T
Exciting things here tonight, me and OH have the worlds loveliest family living behind us  (sarcasism is rife in that sentence) who were relocated to this street as they were run out of where they used to live as they are drug dealing scum, have been fighting all evening and the police arrived about an hour ago, and the poor police man was stood in the middle of the road talking to one of them and 5 more showed up
