Hand blenders are also good for angel delight... Although that's what recently finished mine off... But it had given me good service...
Just dream feeding Caitlyn, I did last night but she still woke up at 2:45... Hoping she might do a bit better tonight... Her little donnies were like ice blocks when I got her out the crib!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

STOPTOBER CHALLANGE ... here we go !!0 -
Oh that's what else I meant to ask.. what exactly is dreamfeeding? Is it just feeding them quietly with no fuss once they've woken up, or waking them up a little bit then feeding? How do you do it with bottle feeding and needing to wind them afterwards?
Rhys is still asleep.. almost five hours and counting - I'm dreading 5am now!0 -
night night everyone ... i'll be still up for a while x
Still searching .....:)

Dreamfeeding - picking baby up whilst it's asleep and offering boob/bottle, baby latches on in their sleep and has a lovely sleepy feed and go back to sleep without actually waking up properly.
Winding DH picked her up gently off me and propped her against his shoulder, and wind came from both ends!!
I loved dreamfeeding my dd is was so snuggly and cosy. We still do but she just climbs into our bed and helps herself (I sleep topless to aid this, means I don't have to wake up).

Thankyou MDW
I missed my chance tonight as he just woke up. Managed to get the bottle ready in time that I could give him it straight away so he didn't wake up too much and he's back in his crib now, mumbling a bit. Will give it a try tomorrow night if we get the chance. Would rather bottle feed it as he's not that grand at breastfeeding even when fully awake yet!

Why is that? I'm a bit worried - Oktoberfest is coming up and I'm not going to be able to drink even one whole beer!
Monster is feeding. Daddy's waking shenanigans ruined her sleeping-through schedule :mad:Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

You need to be really organised about weaning anyway so you do start to remember these things.
Also, I always have a pouch of something or a yoghurt or an interesting new fromage frais (;)) to keep him going.
Edit - you are supposed to be careful with strawberries...as I remembered as Benjamin was sucking on one the other day - oops!!!
We didn't use any sort of blender at all, we just went vaguely in the direction of BLW and gave him appropriate pieces of whatever he took a fancy to. We also made up porridges and yogurts that we spooned into him, and had a few pouches of things like Ella's fruit purees around for lazy days or to make porridge more interesting.
He eats a lot of buttered toast, a lot of banana, bits of cheese, assorted other fruit here and there. He was very keen on strawberries but we think we've associated them with a bit of a red blotchiness around his mouth afterwards so we've cut back on them.
Not to in any way question MFD's wisdombut I can't say we were very organised with our weaning approach! Seems to have gone ok though!
(I can see that if you do puree and freeze you WOULD need to be organised!)
Our snarling beast fought bedtime again for 20 minutes of stress, but when he eventually went down he slept through the night again, 8pm to 6.25am! Awesome! :j
I don't want that fight every bedtime though! And here's hoping today's nap is better than yesterday's - we did compare notes and realise he had 4 hideous poos yesterday which is unheard of for him in several months, so maybe he is less settled recently due to a tummy upset0
