Just been talking to DD about what I want her bubs to call me, OMG, how about flippen 'old lady!'

LOL - SIL just turned 40 last week and her GD is 5 weeks. She settled on Nanny Jayne (needing the Jayne bit!)

God knows how I will feel, it's prob not gonna be too long before I am a step-granny!!!!

Elle - Benjamin has a banana practically every day and they make me heave!!! He is already eating it straight from the peel, biting bits off!! That way I don't have to mess with a bowl of minging mush!!

I only dislike 3 things - beetroot, bananas and rice pudding so I am hoping that Benjamin will be even less fussy than me :)

MOTM - just wanted to say well done to your daughter - what a waste that she's not interested in doing more than 6hrs a week. But I'm glad she's at least doing something. I'm a big fan of education but I do realise that it's not for everyone. Please tell her we all think she's done amazingly well :D

I'll pass all of your good wishes on :) I'm not going to force her to do what she doesn't want too, but she's a young adult, she talks to me and we discuss things and i'm happy she has part time work and is going to do a couple of courses. She has time on her side.

On the subject of food, I taught my girls to eat vegetables and fruit from an early age. It's now not an issue to get them to eat either, as it's part of their daily routines. They are allowed treats and we often bake cakes, cookies and other goodies.

I tend to not be too pleased if they have bought something like a Rustlers Burger or they've been at friends eating too many crisps and sweets, however I do treat them to things.

I find having a chart helps. Every time they complete a chore, homework or do something for the benefot of someone else, they get a tick. Once they reach a certain number of ticks, I owe them a treat, which could be some pocket money, chocolate or anything really.

McDonalds is a rare treat which is more than even I would suggest, only because the girls love home cooked food with vegetables more. I'm not a great cook, but the girls seem to like it.

I think health is the most important thing and they have been brought up that way and I think i've done a decent job.

They have been brought up to know about drinking, smoking, drugs and sex. I think arming them with knowledge when you think they are ready and/or when appropriate, they can then make decisions knowing more facts.

Sorry, gone off topic, but the basis is, healthy eating with treats when it's deserved seems to have worked in my household. I know some of their friends are junk foodies 24/7 and I want my girls to be healthy.

Anyway, enough waffling, I could go in many directions, but I shall leave it there :D

I hope everyone is okay and well. :D

I love giving Chris salad in public places :p If some sees/hears me offering him some lettuce you can see them thinking "as if a toddler would want lettuce" only for him to go "ooh yes fanx" (I'm still working on his th's) :D Their face's are usually a picture lol

Oh, me too - on all counts! The thought of dishing up banana makes me shudder.. Already told OH, probably before I was even pregnant, that that would be his task :p

    Sorry, laptop died..

Don't get me wrong - OH and I by no means have a fab diet, but I'm going to try my hardest to cover that up from Rhys! ;) I have no idea what to do with butternut squash (I'm hoping MFD will tell me! :p) but I'm already looking forward to having bright coloured icecubes of mush in my freezer! :D

Hubbys best friend is lovely but again he is a childhood friend that bares no resemblance to the person my hubby is today. But he is lovely and we are going out with him tomorrow night - he likes me because I drink pints :D

Halve it, seed it and bake it in the oven!!

Check out Annabel Karmel's website for inspiration!!

Benjamin still prefers a BLW approach though. This morning I made toast and cut off all the crusts as soldiers - he sat and sucked his way through 4 crusts!!! Then he had a fromage frais - little chunk!!!

Nutter butter squash (as I call it) is yummy! I love it roasted, or mashed, or added with sweet potatos and carrots to make a bright orange soup (no wonder Keira won't eat it - IT LOOKS LIKE FIRE MUMMY!)

You could mash squash with sweet pot, or any other veg for Rhys, must admit I was pretty bad with PND when Keira was weaning, she got breakfast cereals from the box, and jars a few times a week, did make some stuff, but most of the time I'd chop up veg and fruit and just let her eat herself, I hear they call it something fancy like baby led weaning, I call it lazy ! Works though :p
