Do I portray Aimee that badly you'll only meet with me when she's out of the way? :rotfl:
Keeley lives not far from my Mum!... I think you live close to my Nana... But that's just a guess from the non specific places you've mentioned lol...

Oh sorry Krystal - I did't mean that at all :o I just meant that it would be quieter and there would be fewer chavs swearing at their kids.
I'm Wednesfield ;) just off the cannock road :D - is that non-specific enough LOL

I thought BF babies were supposed to want feeding every few hours? Why then does Amber go 4-5 hours without waking then only feed for 10-20mins? Her last feed was 7.30am and I tried changing her nappy to wake her up hut she slept through it. This just makes me neurotic and panic that she is losing weight and undernourished. Then again, she is such an easy baby and all this having 3 is a so much easier than I imagined that it makes me worry that it's all just a false sence of security and soon all hell is going to break out. Or is that just strange?

Even tried making a coffee in the hope that sods law would say she would wake up, bit I'm half way through drinking it and still nothing. May txt a mate to phone me... Do make up on one eye, straighten half my hair.. ooohhh! Turn the shower on and start to strip?

And DS2 just opened a pack of pampers wipes for his nose and now the house stinks!

Bruno, would swapping roles be an idea? You stay at home and she work?

Bruno instead of having a naptime battle everyday could you just try having some quiet time with him instead, along the lines of sitting with a book and seeing how it goes, maybe not having a nap.

IIRC Elijah has just learnt to walk, yes? lots of children go through a horrid awkward time at this stage its really exciting being able to walk and he is discovering new things that exist/that he can do/that he didn't used to be able to do. Imagine how amazing that would be if it was you? He really doesn't want to go to sleep for a reason, hes not being awkward for the sake of it, hes scared of missing something brilliant! Can you explain this to the OH?

So you need to come up with strategies to get him to have a rest at this time, sticking him in his cot and expectng him to go to sleep is not going to happen no matter how nice that would be! Try sitting down with a book, some music, even half an hour in front of Cbeebies just aim for getting him to chillax for a bit.

I have to go, mine has just dropped off so have jobs to do but I'm quite happy to PM with Mrs Bruno if it would help, I have been there too I remember screaming back at millie and standing holding the door shut whilst she yelled back.

It is a phase, it will get better, he will grow out of it, you will learn how to deal with it better, repeat to fade

In a lot of ways it would - but unfortunately (sort of..) I have a fairly highly paid big career job, while OH has never really worked in the UK and is trying to finish a novel. She wouldn't be able to find a job at all close to my salary, which would mean moving and etc etc. Right at the moment she is still BF as well, although that may come to an end soonish.

I am trying to be at home 3+ days a week to give her breaks at the moment; I may talk to work about spending my remaining holiday etc too.

  • Bruno ((HUGS)) again!

Is it realistic to just forget about a set naptime for a while and try and get him to stay awake for as long as he wants to? If naptime is always a fight maybe it is just not the right time for him?

My boy is rubbing his eyes, I had better go and sort him out.

It's blowing a gale outside, and I have to nip out and get milk....

I managed a peek at Keira's finger last night, she wouldn't let me go near and the plaster needed changed so did it when she was asleep, it looks so gross. Big bit of her skin is hanging off, and drying out, won't be lasting damage though as it's just a layer of skin and not deep, a little cut under her nail too but no signs of bruising on the actual nail thankfully. Hopefully in a few more days that dead skin will fall off....does look really nasty.

I remember at primary school, there was a boy in my class who was missing half of his pinky because his mum closed the car door on his finger....
