sounds like a great bouncy chair. My SIL gave me lots of funny looks when I asked her to buy us the cheapest bouncy chair because it was 'old fashioned'
It was just luck that it was the cheapest, but she felt stingy buying us one that didn't have every gadget possible on it.....I got my way though and I think that's why we got so much use out of it.
This is the one I'm afterelle - I think you are in a similar position to me regarding the possibility of other children in the future....are you planning on keeping everything?
Hmm.. see this is the thing. This is what's holding me back from possibly buying the bouncy chair as, if Rhys doesn't get much use out of it, will there be another child to use it too?
I think we'll keep everything - have plenty of loft space! - and see how we go. I suppose we should look as it as "Well, we [you, me and everyone else] have survived what's been thrown at us this time round.. and we CAN do it again if necessary" - might not feel like we can right now, but deep down I think we know it's all been worth it (on the good days) so I haven't ruled it out completely. It's just going to take a lot of thought in a few years time.. and for that time being, the stuff can stay in the loft. Wouldn't be very MSE to get rid, would it?

morning everyone,
sami when i potty trained jake i never bothered with pull ups cos he treated them the same as a nappy, just carried on weein in them, but what i did was when i knew i was gonna be stayin indoors for a couple of days i just put him in undies and let him wet himself and he quickly realised and got to the potty before he wet himself, it only took me a few days and since then (about a year ago i think?) we've only had a handful of accidents.
elle this is the chair we have for jasmine, http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-Us/Toys/Bouncers-and-Rockers/Blossom-Pink-Rocker-Chair(0031490) it lays completley flat, vibrates n all that!! shes currently asleep in it now, i actually had the same one in blue for jake (which is in my loft:o i wanted a pink one:o)
dont forget you can always sell it on anyway make some of your money back? thats what im planning on doing with the 2 bouncers, rainforest swing and 2 playgyms haha:rotfl:!!
this talking of washing has reminded me ive left a wet load in the washer from yesterday, oops better go!!

jillie I had an epidural and would have one again
before they gave me it I was shaking with the contraction pains and I mean shaking! Full body shakes! They were just so painful! I don't know if it was because Alexandra was ever so slightly rotated to one side but OMG it was horrid. They eventually stuck the epidural in and when it kicked in it was a world of difference! I could snooze through the contractions, poor tired hubby was allowed to go and have a snooze in the corner and I was able to really take an interest in what was happening. They did stick a monitor on me - well 2 - one for me and one for Alexandra... - which were monitored by my midwife and remotely by the senior consultant in charge of the labour ward. They gave me a top up buzzer that would top up the dosage when I pressed the button but a maximum of every 15 minutes. When it got close to pushing though it would appear the epidural wasn't in properly or something as I started being able to feel one leg and I CERTAINLY felt the delivery! There was a few entertaining minutes though when they asked me to put my feet in the stirrups... I could lift one (where the epidural had move/stopped working/something...) but the other was deader than a doornail and I couldn't lift it so every time they wanted me to move or adjust, someone had to grab my leg for me LOL
Even with the epidural not working properly at the end it was great to be honest... i must have had a good 5-6 hours without excrutiating pain waiting for the labour to move along etc which I would undoubtably have had if they hadn't given me the epidural
It's really not that scary to have it - they explain it all to you when the aenestatist comes in and before they do ahead with it. Make sure you're aware of any complications that may arise etc. Never felt it going in, and the local anastetic didn't hurt much either - especially compared to the contractions!
I'm overall glad I had it and I'd have one again SHOULD we ever end up with a second baby...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

That's what I tell OHWe have been very lucky so far really and everything we have has been a gift, loan or bought with lottery winnings (everything my mum won while I was pregnant - has paid for pram, cotbed, cot bedding, travel cot and travel bouncy chair and there's still some left!). My grandparents gave us £100 with the intention that we spend it on a bouncy chair so even that's not actually costing us.. I just want to get my money's worth from everything - been on here too long!
Btw, don't know if you read, but searching got her mat leave / SMP query sorted out. It is 39wks and she doesn't have to go back until mid-Feb now:j

I have a very sleepy baby today..
Should be making the most of it and doing something productive but I'm sat here, just.. well, just not doing a lot, to be quite honest!
Have got to get back on track with my expressing. Am getting twitchy everytime I have to take extra out the freezer.. Obviously didn't help that I didn't put the top on a 50ml pot yesterday and the whole thing leaked out whilst I turned my back - argh!0 -
Jillie - I only ended up with an epidural as LO was being a bit of a pain dropping his heart rate every now and then. They kinda decided that as I may need ECS it was better if I had one, which was as late as it could be. Like MrsTine my legs felt really heavy and I couldnt move them, they also felt really big!!
I recovered ok from it but then again I always do with GA anyway....
Right problem girlies that I need help with. I have a Masonic Ladies night to go to in October. I did have a dress that would have been ok until bump appeared. So I dont really want to spend loads on a new dress but obviously need to get another one. Dont know how long to leave it before I buy one as not sure how big bump will be by then. Any ideas of where to get one from or have you any experience of going to a 'do' at 7 months preg?Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0
