OMG I have made the WORLDS most delishious lemon muffins! They are SO light and fluffy and just GORGEOUS! Now... should I go and have a 3rd? Hmmmmm
no don't eat a third - send it to meeeeeeee
And recipe please
Jillie - I only ended up with an epidural as LO was being a bit of a pain dropping his heart rate every now and then. They kinda decided that as I may need ECS it was better if I had one, which was as late as it could be. Like MrsTine my legs felt really heavy and I couldnt move them, they also felt really big!!
I recovered ok from it but then again I always do with GA anyway....?
I had an epidural - well I technically had three as the first two were put too low down. However, I would still do it again. I was in pain and due to LO being in distress I didn't have any other pain relief options. I could still 'feel' the contractions but not the pain. Having it put in wasn't sore either. It did make DH go pale though:o Just be aware that it can wear off veyr quickly - or at least it felt like that. I was topped up very regularly and required the [STRIKE]aneath aneasthe[/STRIKE] Dr to do that.
I hadn't realised that you had to have a catheter for an epidural - I thought I had mine due to my c-section.
certainly I didn't have one until I came out of the operating theatre - about 10hrs after I had the epidural.Right problem girlies that I need help with. I have a Masonic Ladies night to go to in October. I did have a dress that would have been ok until bump appeared. So I dont really want to spend loads on a new dress but obviously need to get another one. Dont know how long to leave it before I buy one as not sure how big bump will be by then. Any ideas of where to get one from or have you any experience of going to a 'do' at 7 months preg?
Isabella oliver is worth every penny. My dress is beautiful and i wish I could still wear it.

No I didn't have a catheter and bag with DS1. My bladder was emptied at one point, by the use of a catheter into a sick bowl. But it wasn't left in. And I managed to pee in a bedpan before that.0

oh thanks for reminding me my little sis gets hers today, wil text her in a min!
i had an epidural when i was in labour with jake, im not ashamed to say i could not handle the pain, i didnt imagine it would be so bad, think i was ok til the later contractions then ooww!!! it ended up an emergency section under general cos he got stuck, (fauceps and vontoose didnt work,), with the epidural i could still feel my legs but couldnt feel contractions so it was great, i had a nice little sleep before the drama began!!
with jasmine it was a planned section so had spinal block where i was completley numb couldnt move my legs they felt like stone. i asked them to put my catheter in after i was numb cos hated the thought of that.
i hate hate hate needles but honestly i didnt think it hurt at all, yeh you can feel it but it wasnt painful, xxx0 -

OH looooved the epidural, but the catheter ultimately led to her getting a urinary tract infection which caused loads of problems in weeks 1 and 2 after birth.
Advice request time - Elijah was taking 90-120 minute naps after lunch every day (the only nap he gets each day). This week he has suddenly decided to wake up after around an hour each day, still very tired and grumpy and crying but won't sleep again. OH incredibly frustrated by this, ends up shouting at him etc, leaves him in his cot for the 2 hours regardless (and some days during this time after maybe half hour of screams and cries, he goes back down again; other days he hasn't done).
I am very unhappy with leaving him crying but at a loss to suggest anything else. I am home today and tried to help, but spent 15 mins trying to re-settle him and it did no good - he's currently screaming away. He's a year old.
Any suggestions? Not sure if there's a trick we're not using, or whether I should be talking OH into accepting that he only wants an hour a day now...0 -

I had a Christmas do when 8mths pg with Chris, I got my dress from blooming marvelous (still have it, are you a sz8?) next do nice ones but be quick as they all sold out really soon and the new catalogue has been out for a few weeks now. You might be lucky and get one reduced in mothercare if you don't mind looking a bit summeryRight problem girlies that I need help with. I have a Masonic Ladies night to go to in October.
